Hyperkin’s Xbox 360 controller reissue now has a price and release date
Good news for nostalgic millennial gamers: Hyperkin’s remake of the Xbox 360 controller is inching closer to release. The Xenon controller was first announced by Hyperkin back in November, but not much solid info was given outside of some renders and the basic knowledge that this reissue will be a USB-C wired-only reprisal for Xbox Series X / S and PC.
Now, Hyperkin says the Xenon controller is set for release on June 6th, with preorders on its store beginning May 5th. If you have enough love for the old Xbox 360 controller that you want to own a reissue, which eschews wireless connectivity and the classic green LED-surrounded guide buton, the new version will cost $49.99 in white, black, red, or pink.
The Xbox 360 store won’t be closing down, despite what an Xbox support page says
Microsoft will not be closing down the Xbox 360 Marketplace, the company tells The Verge, even though text on an official Xbox support page indicated that was the plan.
Earlier this week, Microsoft said that it would be pulling many beloved games like Jet Set Radio and The Orange Box from the 360 store on February 7th. That was disappointing enough, but then, thanks to a tweet from Wario64, we saw that text on a support page said the company planned to shutter the Xbox 360 Marketplace “over the next year” and that it encouraged players to “purchase any 360 games or DLC by May 2023.” As of this writing, you can still see the message here by scrolling down a little bit.

Microsoft is removing 46 games from the Xbox 360 Marketplace
Microsoft has announced a number titles and associated add-on content will be removed from the Xbox 360 Marketplace in a select set of regions per title.
The removals will start on February 7. Once purchased, you can always redownload the games or any other previously purchased games from your Xbox 360 Download History.
This will not affect the game if they are currently available on the Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S stores. Only the Xbox 360 Marketplace.
Microsoft is pulling many beloved games off the Xbox 360 store next week
Microsoft will be removing a bunch of beloved games from the Xbox 360 Marketplace on February 7th, according to a support page on the Xbox website (via Wario64), meaning you won’t be able to buy them after that date.
It’s not all bad news. If you’ve already bought a game that’s getting pulled, you can still download it after February 7th. Games being removed that are available on Xbox One and Xbox Series X / S stores will remain purchasable on those platforms.
But that does mean digital games only available on the Xbox 360 Marketplace will be unavailable for purchase in just a week. Users on Resetera have figured out which games fall into that category and will be going away for good, and the list includes some well-known titles like Jet…
Xbox 360 Dumping 45+ Old Games And DLC Starting February 7
Microsoft is removing more than 45 older Xbox games and their related DLC from the Xbox Store on Xbox 360 in early February, the company has announced. The games will still be available on newer Xbox consoles for both purchase and download.
The removals will begin on February 7, 2023, Microsoft said in an Xbox Support page spotted by Wario64 on Twitter. The page also confirms that any game removed will be able to be re-downloaded from the Download History page.
Some of the titles set for removal include Assassin’s Creed IV, Call of Duty: Ghosts, Castle Crashers, Dark Souls, Skate 2, and The Witcher 2. These are all on the older side, of course, but some play on newer Xbox consoles via backwards compatibility.
New images show off Samsung’s 360 degree hinge that could come to the Fold 5
Samsung Display shows off a new folding phone hinge that can rotate 360 degrees
Samsung has a new prototype display that could send its folding phones in a new direction: 360 degrees.
Samsung Display, the subsidiary that makes the company’s screens, showed off the new prototype display and hinge at CES 2023. The “Flex In & Out” display can rotate 360 degrees, meaning it can be folded inward and outward, company spokesperson John Lucas told The Verge in an email.
In addition, the display comes with a different hinge design that supposedly creates a significantly less visible crease. That’s because the “water-drop hinge” could allow the display to form a looser shape — like a waterdrop — when folded inward. This subtler hinge would also put less stress on the display.
