Soul Hackers 2 and Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty included in the next batch of Game Pass additions
Time is flying by a little too fast in 2023, although it’s not all bad news as a new month means new Game Pass additions. Microsoft have announced the next four games hitting the service before March 3rd, alongside Atomic Heart which releases today. I was interested in the steely Soviet shooter until I read James’ review and saw that the protagonist yells “Crispy critters,” more than once – I think I’ll skip.
Here are the next batch of Game Pass titles:
- Merge & Blade (Feb 28th)
- Soul Hackers 2 (Feb 28th)
- F1 22 (March 2nd)
- Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty (March 3rd)
This is my first time hearing of Merge & Blade, not to be confused with Mount & Blade which is also on Game Pass. Merge & Blade is a hybrid between puzzle games and auto-battlers. Rounds will start with a Tetris-like mini-game, but instead of shapes, you’re guiding different unit types and merging them together. You then use your completed party to raid castles and kill monsters. Mixing – or merging – Tetris into a new genre is a recipe for success, so I’ll definitely be downloading this one.
Disney Dreamlight Valley’s 2023 roadmap teases Encanto, Frozen, and The Lion King additions
Disney Dreamlight Valley launched as an Early Access title during 2022, and has been privy to plenty of updates and new content since. Given GameLoft’s latest roadmap for the simulation game, it looks like 2023 will shape up to be a fruitful year for Dreamlight Valley fans all over again.
Shared to Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Twitter and blog, GameLoft revealed a roadmap of content for early 2023, and there’s a lot to take in. Starting in February, the game will introduce new characters, realms, Star Paths and more throughout the year.
In February, Disney Dreamlight Valley will introduce Encanto’s Mirabel, and Frozen’s goofy snowman, Olaf. There’ll also be secrets to uncover across Frosted Heights, and an entirely new Star Path centred around Disney’s 100th Anniversary.
Atlassian targets ITSM with new additions to Jira Service Management
Atlassian Thursday unveiled a slew of new features for Jira Service Management—its IT service management (ITSM) offering—providing support and development teams with new automation capabilities, virtual agent technology and on-the-go incident response.
Speaking ahead of the company’s annual High-Velocity ITSM event in London on December 8, Jira Service Management product manager Shihab Hamid said that Atlassian—which has acquired six companies in the last four years to “beef up” its product portfolio—was looking to bridge gaps among devops, IT operations, tech support and business teams.
Overwatch 2’s new Season 2 additions are a delight, but don’t expect the meta to change
Season 2 of Overwatch 2 arrives tomorrow, and it’s a bigger deal than it may sound. Overwatch 2 may have marked the beginning of a slightly jarring shift towards the free-to-play model for Blizzard’s venerable hero shooter, but it’s the release of Season 2 where players will get their first taste of the pace and quality at which future content will be released under the new regime.
I got to spend a few days exploring the new changes that Overwatch 2’s second season will bring around this time tomorrow, and I’ve come away feeling a little torn. On the one hand, the brand new additions – the new Tank, Ramattra, and the new Shambali Monastery map – are gorgeous, intriguing, and enjoyable. On the other, the balance changes to existing heroes really don’t seem to have done much to rebalance the most overpowered heroes in the game, which has left me feeling a bit frustrated.
