Amnesia The Bunker release date window and teaser trailer
The Amnesia The Bunker release date announcement has come as a welcome surprise to indie horror fans. While 2013’s Amnesia A Machine For Pigs failed to capture the zeitgeist of its own progenitor, Amnesia Rebirth was a welcome return to the series’ roots in 2022. It also included lore developments that raise more questions than answers, leaving the series ripe for a sequel.
Beyond the Amnesia The Bunker release date, we don’t know too much about the upcoming sequel. Amnesia: The Dark Descent is undoubtedly one of the best horror games of all time, and is widely credited with kickstarting the revival of survival horror, so it’s fair to say that Amnesia The Bunker has a lot of expectations riding on it. Here’s everything we know ahead of the release date.

Amnesia: The Bunker shakes up the horror survival series with emergent gameplay and sandbox elements
Frictional Games, the studio behind the Amnesia series and Soma, has announced Amnesia: The Bunker, the latest installation in the franchise.
The developers call the game a “pivotal point” in the horror series due to player freedom impacting gameplay. For the first time in the series, you can choose your playstyle as you explore the semi-open world.
With hardly any scripted events, and constant tension brought about by an ever-present threat, it is up to you to manage your approach to survival.
‘Amnesia: The Bunker’ is a new survival horror sandbox from Frictional Games
Frictional Games thinks it has a way to shake up the Amnesia horror formula — throw out most of the predictability. The studio has unveiledAmnesia: The Bunker, a “semi-open” survival horror title that takes place during the First World War. You play a French soldier (an amnesiac, of course) who has little more than a revolver and flashlight to defend themselves against a mysterious creature hunting them down. There are “hardly any” scripted events, and frequently multiple ways to overcome the game’s hurdles.
The new release also promises new forms of interaction, with elements of sandbox games despite the presence of a story. You can also expect improved lighting effects and “carefully” crafted sound. And yes, you’ll still get Frictional’s signature extra-gloomy environments.
Amnesia: The Bunker releases on PlayStation, Xbox and PC (via Epic Games Store and Steam) sometime in 2023. It’s too soon to say if the open world format will help, or simply introduce the problems that sometimes creep up in those games — it won’t be very frightening if you’re wandering aimlessly. If nothing else, the approach should improve the replayability compared to other horror projects. You can come back knowing the scares won’t always pop up at the same places.
Neighbours go ballistic at apocalypse-obsessed millionaire’s nuclear bunker plans
AN apocalypse-obsessed millionaire has angered neighbours with her plans for a vast nuclear bunker under her mansion.
Lavinia Jacobs, 42, wants a 15-room fallout shelter with air-tight blastproof doors.
A planning application says: “The work involves the excavation, forming and casting of a reinforced concrete nuclear bunker basement.”
The shelter would include four bedrooms, a kitchen and storage rooms, a study and an access tunnel to her £10million property in Rye, East Sussex.
The project is set to cost hundreds of thousands of pounds and take months to complete.
Ms Jacobs — whose late father was Swiss chocolate mogul Klaus Jacobs — is believed to already have a nuclear bunker at another of her homes in Switzerland.

The application relates to Grade II listed Leasam House — which was built in 1800 and is set in 57 acres.
It was submitted in June, after Vladimir Putin’s Russia troops invaded Ukraine and the threat of nuclear war increased. No decision has been made yet.
Janet Warren wrote on Rother district council’s website that potential damage to the house, garden and environment “far outweighs any doubtful useful purpose the development will have”.
One local told The Sun: “All the building equipment and transport needed to carry this out will go right by our front door.”

Another said: “We never see Lavinia here.
“I suppose she must be worried what Putin is up to.
“I’m not sure he’ll have Rye in his sights though.”
Ms Jacobs was approached for comment yesterday.
