‘Succession’ Season 4, episode 3: The wedding detail that was a big clue
In Logan Roy’s (Brian Cox) famous last words, “Today’s the day.”
In a shocking turn of events, Succession killed off its lead patriarch right at the beginning of its final season, throwing its characters into an emotional tornado with no time for processing. Logan’s death was sudden, occurring while on his way to Sweden to secure the GoJo deal. While he was presumably experiencing cardiac arrest on his private jet, Kendall (Jeremy Strong), Roman (Kieran Culkin), and Shiv (Sarah Snook) were all on a boat celebrating Connor’s (Alan Ruck) wedding, with Tom (Matthew Macfadyen) calling in from Logan’s plane to give them a chance to speak to their father one last time.
Logan’s death felt like a one-act play, moving from the kids crumbling in despair to his colleagues figuring out the best course of action. We all knew Logan was going to die; his health’s been alarmingly turbulent since Succession‘s pilot episode, but no one could expect it to happen this early on in the season, let alone with no formal send-off. While Logan’s death played out in ways we could never anticipate, there was a big clue from episode 3’s beginning warning us of what was about to come — his kids’ wedding attire.

Succession‘s costumes have always been used as a vehicle to augment its storytelling, whether that means navigating the world of power suits for women in business or relishing in the charm of a tailored suit to separate the nouveau riche from the real deal. In episode 3, the show’s costumes once again spoke volumes about the stakes at play, with all of the kids dressed for a funeral instead of a wedding.
You’d expect a boat wedding to feature a lot of florals, fancy flannels, lax pantsuits, and anything that screams, “We’re about to get drunk on champagne while cruising the Hudson.” But instead of incorporating bold, celebratory pieces, Succession dresses its characters in all-black attire. Kendall and Roman are both wearing black suits, and while you may think that’s standard, the boys have always had an eye for dressing for an occasion, showing up in pastels or blues for Succession‘s other big family events. Shiv is the real standout, choosing a black dress paired with an oversized black blazer instead of her usual florals or beige go-to’s.
Dressing in black for Connor’s wedding was a curated decision that elevated the episode’s tension while foreshadowing the doom about to come. After all, we’ve seen the kids flex their fashion for occasions similar to Connor’s wedding, like their mom’s (Harriet Walter) wedding in Tuscany in Season 3, where they all showed up in bright pinks, whites, and browns.

Ill-prepared as they were for the emotional shock of their father’s death, they at least looked the part from head to toe — camera-ready for a press conference where Shiv showed up teary eyed. From episode 3’s beginning, the kids were dressed for their imminent mourning. We watch them say their last words to their dad, hold each other, and cry their eyes out, all while wearing the suits and dresses they were probably going to wear to his funeral — but to their brother’s wedding, and Logan’s death day, instead.
We should have known something dreadful was coming as soon as we saw Shiv pull up to a wedding dressed for a eulogy. Succession is a master-class in the power of details. While Season 4’s poster hinted at what was to come, episode 3’s costumes signaled a red alarm we all should have paid more attention to. Maybe keeping an eye out on Shiv’s blazers moving forward would be a good idea.

Casey has given fans a massive clue he’s ‘got the ick’ with Claudia.
Love Island fans were less than impressed when just days ago he begged for her forgiveness after he played away with Cynthia in Casa Amor.
During a chat with the lads, Casey confided he ‘wouldn’t mind’ if Claudia got to know someone else if they walked in.
He said: “If a new bombshell came in and he was her type, I would fully expect her to give him the time of day.”
Casey stunned fans with his flirtations with Cynthia in Casa Amor – which lead to her straddling him for a steamy kiss.
Meanwhile Love Island casualty Cynthia Otseh-Taiwo has given her frank opinion on one couple in the villa – and insisted they won’t last.
Cynthia, 25, was dumped from Love Island after failing to snare herself a man during Casa Amor.
She had grown close to Casey as the week went on, but he decided to stick with Claudia at the recoupling.
Cynthia then overhead him telling Claudia that things ‘weren’t deep’ between them both during Casa.
Now on the outside, Cynthia has given her frank opinion on Casey and Claudia – and she thinks he will “regret” his decision.
Speaking after her exit from the show, the dental receptionist said: “I think he’s going to regret it.
“If you say that you have something special with someone like
Claudia, you wouldn’t have been doing everything you were doing with me.”
Casey was the first of this year’s Islanders to face the Casa Amor recoupling, hosted by Maya Jama.
Cynthia was left in tears after he decided to stick with Claudia, as she thought he would have chosen her.

Shocked Ekin-Su reveals ‘clue’ she’d avoid skate-off on Dancing on Ice
EKIN-SU Cülcüloğlu has hinted that despite landing in the skate-off of Dancing On Ice, she think she will not be eliminated.
The former Love Island star is so adamant that she will still be in the competition, she wants to arrange tickets for her former castmates to see her skate.
Ekin-Su, 28, failed to impress the Dancing On Ice viewers when she took to the Ice for the first time at the debut episode of the new series.
But despite her seemingly disheartening start, the media personality doesn’t think she will be going anywhere anytime soon.
The star has been flooded with comments from her Love Island co-stars, including Tasha Ghouri.
She wrote to the amateur skater: “Huge good luck tonight!!! You’re going to smash the ice, remember the Leo queen you are, can’t wait to watch and miss you lots.”
And the Homecomings personality replied to her comment by saying she wants to sort out tickets for her, and her boyfriend Andrew Le Page, to see her skate in the future.
She replied: “Aww Tasha this is so sweet … I miss you incredibly. When you’re free I’ll get you and Andrew tickets to the live show.”
The reality TV star recieved a score of 21.5 points on the judges and placed fourth place on the lederboard.
However she received the lowest amount of votes from the public, and as such will face the dreaded skate-off next week.
This comes after Ekin-Su sent Love Island fans wild with a cheeky reference to the show during Dancing On Ice.
There was a sneaky reference to one of her iconic villa moments during her debut routine on the ITV juggernaut.
Eagle-eyed Love Island devotees noticed the 28 year-old crawled across the ice as she performed with partner Brendyn Hatfield.
And fans couldn’t help but notice how it was a nod to her “iconic crawl” from her stint on the ITV2 show.
As viewers will remember, Ekin crawled across the balcony when she went to steal a secret kiss with fellow islander Jay Younger.
She performed the sneaky move at the time to stop Davide Sanclimenti, who she was coupled up with, from seeing her.
Of course, her secret was soon exposed and she and Davide had an explosive confrontation, where he branded her “an actress and a liar”.

Crucial clue on Connie Dabate’s Fitbit cracked murder case after husband Richard tied himself to chair in elaborate plot
A MURDERED mom’s Fitbit data provided crucial information that led to the arrest and conviction of her killer years after the 2015 crime.
Information from the tracker found on Connie Dabate’s corpse was key to finally arresting and charging her husband Richard in 2017.

Connie Dabate, 39, had the Fitbit on her on December 23, 2015, when her body was found in the basement of the Ellington, Connecticut home, where she lived with her husband and kids.
She had been shot in the head and abdomen, police said.
Her husband, Richard Dabate, was also located inside the house.
First responders found him lying on the kitchen floor, tied to a metal folding chair, Hartford Fox affiliate WTIC-TV reported.

Dabate, 45, told officers that he dropped off his children at school that morning and was heading to work when he realized he left his laptop at home, according to the news outlet.
He said he was driving back to his house when he got a notification about an alarm going off at home.
Dabate told officers that he got to the house, heard a noise upstairs, and came across an intruder.
He alleged that the intruder had a knife and demanded his wallet and bank card pins.

When his wife got there, returning from a trip to the gym, he claimed he tried to alert her.
Dabate told detectives that a large person with camouflage clothing and a mask shot Connie.
The investigation into Connie’s death revealed she was shot by one of her husband’s guns, CT Insider reported.
Dabate reportedly told her family that he believed his wife was going to the basement to grab one of his guns to help him.
No items were taken from the house and Mr. Dabate’s wallet was found in the yard with nothing missing, according to CT Insider.
FITBIT DATA
Information on Connie’s Fitbit showed she was moving around for about an hour after her husband claimed she was killed, CBS News reported.
The alleged conflicting timeline is part of the case against Dabate, who was arrested in 2017 and charged with murder, tampering with physical evidence, and making false statements.
Prosecutors claim a potential divorce was Dabate’s motive in the killing.
They allege that he was in an affair with a woman who was pregnant with his child.
Dabate’s lawyer said evidence of affairs was “just an attempt to dirty up” his client’s reputation.
He has maintained his innocence, telling Connie’s family at the time: “I didn’t do this, they said I need a lawyer.”
“His body language was unemotional, he was really flat,” Connie’s sister Leslie Garabedian said in court.
“It was as if he was speaking any story without emotion.”
CHILLING FINAL TEXTS
A friend of Connie’s revealed a conversation she apparently had with the victim 30 minutes before Richard Dabate called 911.
Connie was inviting Kate Frost and her husband over for a potluck and joked that they would all get food poisoning if Connie cooked.
“Connie was great at a lot of things, but cooking wasn’t one of her strong suits,” Frost said during the trial in state Superior Court in Rockville this week.
Frost recalled Connie ending the message with: “If I don’t get to see you, Merry Christmas.”
Debate was convicted of the murder in May and was sentenced to 65 years in prison.
“I just feel like a surge from up above,” said Connie’s mother Cindy Margotta after the August 18, 2022, sentencing.
“I just feel the strength coming to me right now.”
“Today is an accumulation of almost seven years of stress and anxiety, hurt and pain,” said family friend Wayne Rioux.
Richard and Connie’s chilling tale is set to be featured on Friday’s episode of Dateline which airs at 9pm EST.

Britain’s Got Talent fans think they’ve ‘worked’ out mind-reading act after spotting ‘clue
BRITAIN’S Got Talent viewers were left convinced that magician Colin Cloud’s act was secretly aided by members of the audience.
Soon after Colin, 35, appeared on BGT’s Ultimate Magician special, viewers were suspicious that his act was not legitimate.

Choosing members of the audience to think about certain words and celebrities, Colin was able to think of the participant’s words without hesitation.
But it was clearly too good to be true for some viewers. One took to Twitter and said: “The judges and audience are great actors to support the magic acts.”
While another said: “Most obvious plants ever.”
But it didn’t stop there. Another said: “All 3 people in the audience are working with him.”
More on Britain’s Got Talent
Colin first shot to fame when he appeared on series 12 of America’s Got Talent.
And his performances were not lost on stand in judge Penn.
Penn, who was one half of magician duo Penn & Teller, even admitted that his wife was a huge fan of Colin and had been to see him five or six times.
Ten acts from past BGT series competed for being crowned the Ultimate Magician with a £50,000 prize fund.
But it was Eric Chien that was named winner of this year’s special show.
The top three had been made up of Eric, The Witch and Magic Bones, with The Witch finishing in third place.
