Strictly Come Dancing star Anton Du Beke blasts pro dancers for ‘lying’ to celebrity partners during show
ANTON DU BEKE has called out Strictly dancers, accusing them of lying to their celebrity partners during the show.
Speaking on the first night of his Audience With tour in Northampton on Friday, the BBC show’s judge and former pro dancer said: “Everyone tells each other how proud they are of each other.
Anton Du Beke says Strictly professionals should be more honest with the celebrity contestants[/caption]
“They say, ‘You are so amazing’.
“No one ever tells the truth, like, ‘You’ve been crap all week’ or ‘You have been a disaster, I am amazed you have got here on time’.”
Anton also admitted he dreaded being paired with the older celebrities on the annual launch show, saying: “When they appear on the stairs, my hope dwindles when I see them wheezing up the stairs with the help of a nurse, going, ‘Come on dear’.”
His Ann Widdecombe dances were iconic though.
Dancing on Ice judge hits back at claims show is fixed but admits it IS a popularity contest
DANCING on Ice judge Ashley Banjo has hit back at claims the ITV show is fixed but admits it IS a popularity contest as he launched his fab new clothes range for Peacocks.

He has reassured fans the show is not fixed[/caption]
Dancing on Ice is renowned for its glitzy line-up of stars from Hollywood legends, music giants, TV and sporting heroes, some who fans reckon have stayed on the show longer than expected.
Ashley reassured fans all was above board at the launch of his stylish clothes range Approved, where Love Island’s Teddy Soares and Ron Hall partied alongside Diversity’s Perri Kelly at Notting Hill’s plush Los Mochis restaurant.
BAFTA winning BGT star Ashley told The Sun: “It’s not fixed, because that would be illegal. Of course it is partially a popularity contest – it’s not the olympics. People vote for who they like. It’s about people developing. Using a skill to express your performance.”
Meanwhile Ashley and Perri have revealed Diversity are set to return to the ITV show for an epic performance later this series.
Dance group Diversity who won the talent competition back in 2009, have returned to the show each year with a special performance.
This year looks to be no different – with Perri confirming that they have no plans to “break tradition” and have been asked by show bosses to return once again.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun, Ashley said: “I was at rehearsals with the boys and they were showing me some of the auditions. There is some amazing talent this year.
“There is a guy who set himself on fire, what is that about.”
While Diversity prepare to go back on the road for an epic tour in September, as well as gearing up for playing the Tin-man in The Wizard of Oz this summer in the West End, Ashley has been busy with his clothes range.
The edit includes polo and short co-ords, oversized tees, loungewear, chinos and breezy shorts in a neutral colour palette for head to toe tonal dressing including earthy greens, khaki, pale pink and onyx black.
Ashley said: “I’d love to see Barack Obama in it. That would be something. I’d send some to Simon Cowell, but not sure if he’d wear it though,” he smiled.
Ashley added: “Being a dancer, movement and style go hand in hand and I really wanted to reflect that in this new edit with Peacocks. I liked expanding my creativity into pieces that I thought reflected my style and vibe for the summer. After all the love and attention to detail that has gone into this collection I can’t wait to see people actually wearing it.”
Ashley Banjo: Approved is available online www.peacocks.co.uk and in over 340 Peacocks stores nationwide.

I’m a dancing cowgirl – people say God ‘broke the mold’ with me, even when I mess up and fall in the dirt
TIKTOK users can’t pass up a dance trend, even all the way out in the country.
One cowgirl showed off her fancy footwork and gained fans even though she faltered.
If you scroll through the TikTok page of certified country girl Bethany Edwards (@bethanyedwards718), you’ll see horses, hats, and hay.
The cowgirl isn’t shy about her down-home roots, but she did show the “simple life” can get awfully complicated when there’s dancing involved.
In a video, Edwards almost mastered a complicated country dance.
But she fell short (literally) in the final moments of her routine.
Dressed in a bell-sleeved crop top, Edwards did a “cowgirl boogie.”
She dropped it low in her distressed Levis and kicked her leather boots up.
As she twirled a fake lasso above her western hat, Edwards looked picture-perfect.
But in the last few seconds of her two-step, she plopped flat on her bottom in the dirt.
“Practiced this dance forever and this is what happened,” Edwards lamented in the video’s caption.
Edwards laughed off her embarrassment, and thanks to compliments from commenters, her ego recovered quickly.
“Love it, blooper and all,” one admirer wrote.
Another said despite her blunder, she was still “Perfection in a video.”
“You are stunningly gorgeous,” said one person.
An envious commenter told Edwards, “You make everything look good.”
“God broke the mold when he made you, cause wow,” said a delighted fan.
Several complimented her dancing. “You got the moves,” a man wrote.
Only a few commenters expressed concern for her well-being.
One man said it “looked like a cute fall” but still asked, “Are you okay, though?”
“Thanks, my ankle actually hurts still a little,” Edwards admitted.
“Well, put some ice on it and relax for a bit,” the man responded. “I’d like to see more of your dancing.”

“Doing this trend as a 260 pound fat and gorgeous woman,” she said.
The content creator shook her belly in a bralette and sweats, swinging her arms and flipping her hair to complete the dance routine.
“Show that body off hun,” she said, adding the hashtags #plussizeedition.
People took to the comments to shower her with compliments.
“Confidence is beauty,” said one commenter.
“We all need your confidence like yes,” said another.
“God I love women,” said a third.
Others told her that once wasn’t enough.
“Ooh do it again!!” they said.

I’m a dancing country mom – when my clubbing song from the 90s comes on, I can’t help but bust a move
A COUNTRY mom has revealed her long time love for the dance floor.
She showed how she used to bust a move back in her hay day.
The blonde beauty rocked her 90s dance moves to Adina Howard’s “Freak Like Me.”
Ophelia (@shoelover99) is a digital content creator on TikTok.
The southern belle often posts videos with motivational content as well as fashion advice and even comedy.
She took to the social media platform to share some nostalgia from her youth.
“When your old clubbing song from the 90s comes on and you forget who you are,” she wrote over the video.
She danced in her bright red maxi dress in her kitchen to an old school hit song.
Ophelia stunned viewers when she showed how she’s still got it by dropping it low to the floor.
Fans of the 90s revival dance moves took to the comment section.
“Droppin’ it in house slippers yes,” one wrote.
“That’s how grammas do it,” Ophelia replied.
“Get it mama,” another added.
“You go girl,” a third commented.
“My day is now complete,” yet another fan wrote.
“I knew mama tot got down with the good music in the 90s,” one more said.
