Classic puzzle-strategy Might & Magic: Clash Of Heroes is getting a Definitive Edition
Long before indie outfit Capybara Games made a name for themselves with Sword & Sworcery or Below, they made a puzzle-strategy game with the Might & Magic license for Ubisoft. Might & Magic: Clash Of Heroes was a surprise delight on Nintendo DS in 2009 and an HD release made its way to PC in 2011.
Now it’s getting a Definitive Edition release courtesy of Dotemu, with updated character art, quality-of-life improvements and rebalanced multiplayer.

Final Fantasy 1-6 Pixel Remaster console creeps closer to definitive status, despite some small frustrations
After months of fans pleading with Square Enix to do so on social media, the Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters are finally hitting consoles – available this week for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. And intriguingly, these aren’t functionally the same versions as debuted on PC and mobile. In fact, they’re subtly improved.
These are small changes, but they add up to something greater. It pushes these titles ever closer to being very nearly the definitive versions of classics. In fact, hardcore fans will now likely have a headache on their hands deciding which version of each 2D FF to play.
For the most part, our original review of the first three games stands. Back in 2021, I said these ports had vast room for improvement. The console versions are improved… but there’s still many areas where they could – and arguably should – do better. Nevertheless, they’re now far more worthy versions of these classic games.

Age of Empires II is extremely special to me. The game came to me by accident at 16, and it has remained a great gaming love of mine ever since. I played Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition on Xbox to see if, after all these years, I could rekindle my fondness for this PC game on console, and it feels like love at first wololo all over again.
It is a daunting prospect to play a complex real-time strategy game like Age of Empires without the finely tuned control of a keyboard. There are maps and submenus to click through and units to select and move and control.
