The New Yu-Gi-Oh TCG Set Just Launched, Has Dark Souls And Elden Ring References
The anticipated Yu-Gi-Oh TCG core set Phantom Nightmare finally released today. The new collection adds over 100 cards to the long-running TCG and introduces the all-new “Ashen” card archetype. If that sounds suspiciously like another dark fantasy franchise, you’re right. Fans have also spotted numerous homages to From Software’s brutal action-RPGs Demon’s Souls, Dark Souls, and Elden Ring in the art and lore of these new cards. There’s even a mechanic that lets you move Ashen cards from your deck to your hand using the Bonfire spell card. Get it?
- Yu-Gi-Oh TCG Phantom Nightmare booster box — $90
- Yu-Gi-Oh TCG Phantom Nightmare booster packs — $4.49/ea
- Yu-Gi-Oh TCG Maze of Millennia booster box — $90 at Best Buy (sold out)

Yu-Gi-Oh TCG Phantom Nightmare booster packs are available for $4.49 per pack at Best Buy’s online store. Each booster comes with nine random cards from the new set. You can also grab the giant Yu-Gi-Oh TCG Phantom Nightmare booster box for $90 at Best Buy. The box includes 24 packs, each with nine cards for a total of 216 cards. If you’re interested in the booster box, you may want to order soon, as the last Yu-Gi-Oh set sold out pretty fast at Best Buy.
While the Phantom Nightmare boosters will get you started on your collection of the new set, the Bonfire spell card that works with the new Ashen card was introduced in a previous Yu-Gi-Oh TCG set, Maze of Millenia. You can grab Maze of Millenia boosters at Best Buy for $4.49 a pop. Each booster includes seven random cards.

Three new Elden Ring figures are joining Bandai Namco’s SH Figuarts Minis line, including everyone’s favorite four-armed witch Ranni, her guardian Blaidd the Half-Wolf, and Malenia Blade of Miquella. The new collectibles are set to launch for $30 later this year, starting with Malenia and Blaidd on May 15, then followed by Ranni a few months later on October 30. Elden Ring and Darkest Dungeon unite in new Steam ARPG, playable now
Beginning with Demon’s Souls and then gradually refined through Dark Souls, Bloodborne, Sekiro, and Elden Ring, From Software has successfully cultivated a new genre of RPG, one that myriad other developers have been eager to emulate – the hallowed soulslike. Difficult, dark, and steeped in obtuse but rich world-building, the soulslike is finding further expression in the likes of Lords of the Fallen and Nioh. Now, perhaps the most en vogue genre of the last five years is being combined with party-personality-management twist of Darkest Dungeon, a slight hint of iconoclastic horror shooter Killer7, and a warped contemporary setting for a new ARPG, available to play right this second as part of Steam Next Fest.

Genshin Impact and Elden Ring collide in bizarre new mod
This Genshin Impact crossover is an Elden Ring mod that swaps out character models to produce unexpectedly funny – and terrifying – results. The swap has the player using Mona Megistus from Genshin Impact in place of the Tarnished, fighting against a monstrous Mitachurl enemy that’s swapped in for Godfrey, the first Elden Lord. Mitachurls aren’t the most fearsome enemies in the anime game, but the mod provides a bit of a surprise in phase two of the boss fight.

Long Covid Mods translate “real-world symptoms” into Elden Ring, Minecraft, and The Witcher 3
A new series of challenge mod packs aim to raise awareness for Long Covid and chronic fatigue symptoms using three perennial favourites: Elden Ring, Minecraft, and The Witcher 3. The initiative is called Long Covid Mode and all three mods make sweeping adjustments to the games, turning “real-world symptoms into in-game effects.” Take a look at some of the examples below:
Just like Elden Ring, Tears of the Kingdom’s scariest enemy wants to give you the finger
Breath of the Wild’s guardians are completely absent from The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, but there is something that won’t help you sleep at night.
Spoilers lie ahead in this for one for said new enemy and more.
Encountering my first mobile guardian in Breath of the Wild is maybe one of the scariest (and most humbling) things I’ve experienced in a game. Their breakneck speed, the laser on my back with a one-shot beam attack, that panicked piano score that feels like Link is experiencing PTSD. All of it added up to an absolute terror of an enemy. I felt a sense of relief seeing that they’re nowhere to be found in Tears of the Kingdom’s Hyrule. So of course Nintendo added in a new enemy, one that is the literal stuff of nightmares.
All Elden Ring crystal tears locations
Want to know where to find the Elden Ring crystal tears? Just like the Estus flasks in Dark Souls, you start the game with healing flasks that you can refill at Sites of Grace. However, this isn’t the only type of healing item available – the Flask of Wondrous Physick is a customisable alternative.
These Elden Ring crystal tears are not to be confused with the Elden Ring golden seeds that upgrade the number of charges you have for your Crimson Flask and Cerulean Flask. There are plenty of crystal tears you can find in one of the best PC games, and their effects trigger simultaneously every time you take a sip, and you can swap them at any Site of Grace. We’ll go over all of the crystal tears’ effects and where you can find them to use with your Flask of Wondrous Physick.

Elden Ring classes – all stats and keepsakes
Want to know about best Elden Ring classes? At the very beginning of your adventure in this highly rated open-world game, you get the chance to choose a class for your character, known in-game as their ‘origin’. This choice determines your starting level and attributes, which will form the core of your future Elden Ring build.
The question of which is the best Elden Ring class is entirely subjective. While each class has a certain playstyle associated with it, in addition to their own starting Elden Ring weapons and other gear, the RPG game’s leveling system is free-form so, in the long run, your choice won’t matter as much. That said, we can make some recommendations for classes suited to newer players.
