Gran Turismo Movie Trailer Reveals David Harbour’s Gamer Boot Camp
Sony continues to mine its many video game properties for screen adaptations, and CinemaCon attendees Monday night were treated at a look at the first trailer for the next one: Gran Turismo.
Stars Orlando Bloom and David Harbour were on hand during Sony’s presentation of its upcoming movie slate, with Harbour joking that he didn’t really understand what the Gran Turismo movie was at first: how do you make a movie out of a racing game with no story? “It’s a racing simulator!” Harbour said he complained to director Neill Blomkamp.
Of course, the movie tells the true story of a teenaged Gran Turismo player who successfully managed to make the leap from gamer to real-life professional racer–it’s a bit different from your standard video game movie adaptation.
Tabletop News Is For The “Curious Gamer” With A Focus On Short, Precise Reporting
Featuring a powerful cast of hosts, Tabletop News is aiming to bring a consolidated weekly news show to the tabletop gaming space. Though not a wholly original concept–websites like Dicebreakers and podcasts like The Dice Tower cover press releases and announcements within the tabletop gaming space–Tabletop News is looking to differentiate itself by solely focusing on news stories and delivering them in concise 12-minute long episodes.
To get a better understanding of what Two Kings Entertainment is hoping to accomplish with Tabletop News and what the team behind the show wants to achieve within the industry, I sat down to talk with Two Kings Entertainment executive producer Adam Rady and Tabletop News producer and host Michelle Nguyen Bradley. The two answered my questions about why the tabletop community needs a show like this, why they’re opting to launch through a Kickstarter campaign, and how Tabletop News is designed to be approachable for–as Rady puts it–the “curious gamer.”
I don’t know how much of this you can speak to, but why did y’all feel like now is the time? What about the past few years have made y’all go, “The tabletop community needs a consolidated weekly news show?”

E3 2023 industry and gamer days detailed, more showcase announcements ‘coming soon’
E3 has been gone for a few years now (thanks, Covid) but 2023 will see the show return to the physical and digital realms once again, bringing with it a suite of online showcases, networking opportunities, and – if previous years are anything to go by – some of the biggest announcements in the gaming calendar.
Back in 2022, ESA and ReedPop confirmed that E3 would be returning as an in-person show in 2023, and now the two companies have provided more information about exactly what will be happening during those heady days in the middle of the summer months.
First up, ReedPop has announced that it will be revamping E3 with separate ‘industry’ and ‘gamer’ days along with corresponding expo halls for each.
