My no-chemical tip instantly kills weeds – landscapers ‘don’t want you to know,’ it’s pet-friendly too
A MAN with first-hand experience killing weeds has revealed one of the ways he was able to eradicate the pesky plants.
Taking to social media, he shared his simple method with viewers.
A man has shared his go-to chemical-free way to get rid of weeds[/caption]
“Here’s some tips that your landscapers don’t want you to know to get rid of weeds,” Collin (@bluemelonco) began in a TikTok video.
“First boil some water. Then, take your boiling pot of water and just pour it directly on the weeds,” he explained.
He demonstrated by letting the piping hot water flow onto the weeds.
He added that the tip is chemical-free and pet friendly.
“Instantly kills weeds without chemicals down to the roots and seeds. Plants hate hot water. The extreme temperature is too much for weeds,” Collin explained in the caption.
He added in the comments section of the clip that the boiling water method would make weeds stay away for about a month.
Someone in the comments chimed in with a tip of their own for more efficiency.
“Just the roots. And go low while pouring. Less heat loss,” they wrote.
Another person expressed their preference for natural methods.
“Love nontoxic!!” they exclaimed.
And someone else shared their opposing preference for chemical killers.
“I use chem, it’s better at killing everything,” they said.
To which Collin cautioned: “Yeah but it can cause other stuff to not grow.”

Resident Evil 4 hides a secret method for killing Salazar instantly
When it comes to Resident Evil 4 Remake bosses, Salazar, surely, is the most annoying of them all. He moves quickly, he flies around the room, he’s got a one-hit-kill attack, and he shoots that black ooze everywhere. In the original RE4, I always just bought a rocket launcher from the Merchant and decked Salazar in one shot. Resident Evil 4 Remake means that’s a little harder, since the horror game‘s bazooka costs a lot more now, but it turns out there’s an equally swift – but much more absurd – method for dropping Salazar in an instant.

Researchers are using sound-waves and holograms to instantly mold tiny 3D shapes
The idea of growing organs or tissues for medical use still sounds like science fiction — and indeed, it’s an incredibly difficult thing to do. 3D-printing technology has shown some promise in the field of biofabrication, but the process is too slow, and often damages the tissue it’s working with. Researchers in Germany may have a solution: using holograms and sound fields to rapidly assemble matter in 3D.
The process uses acoustic pressure to mold silica gel microspheres and other materials into complex 3D shapes. Pulling that off isn’t easy. The team first had to learn how to create complex, layered holographic shapes that were formed from sound, rather than light — and that takes an incredible amount of computational power. “The digitization of an entire 3D object into ultrasound hologram fields is computationally very demanding and required us to come up with a new computation routine,” one of the team’s researchers told FastCompany.
Once the hologram is complete, however, it can be used to mold various materials. The shapes the team has made so far aren’t very large — measuring less than an inch at the largest — but they are fairly complex. Even more impressive, the fabrication process happens quite quickly: One video included with the published study shows a clear cube with a cloudy liquid made of silica gel microspheres. Moments later, that cloud condenses into the shape of a helix.
Other experiments formed shapes using mouse myoblast cells, and the study’s lead author, Kai Melde, told FastCompany that the technology had potential to be used for bioprinting in the future. “Ultrasound is gentle and non-toxic to the cells,” Melde explained. “And the remote assembly without contact helps keep things sterile and the cells happy.” The study also explores the idea of using the technology for targeted drug delivery and rapid prototyping. For now though, the research stands as an interesting proof of concept for rapid-one-step assembly of 3D objects, and a potential, much faster alternative to 3D printing in the future.

YouTube Video Causes Pixel Phones To Instantly Reboot
The leading theory floating around is that something about the format of the video (it’s 4K HDR) is causing the phone to crash. It wouldn’t be the first time something like this happened to an Android phone. In 2020, there was a cursed wallpaper that would crash a phone when set as the background due to a color space bug. The affected phones all use Google’s Exynos-derived Tensor SoC, so don’t expect non-Google phones to be affected by this. Samsung Exynos phones would be the next most-likely candidates, but we haven’t seen any reports of that. According to CNET, the issue has been addressed and a full fix will be deployed in March.

Newer iPhones Allow You to Measure Someone’s Height Instantly — Here’s How
To measure a person’s height, simply open the Measure app, point your iPhone at the person you want to measure, and make sure they are visible on the screen from head to toe. After a brief moment, a line should appear at the top of the person’s head with their height measurement. You can choose to have the measurement displayed in feet-and-inches or in centimeters in the Settings app under Measure → Measure Units.
The app measures a person’s height from the floor to the top of their head, hair, or hat. You can even measure the seated height of a person in a chair.
The circular shutter button in the bottom-right corner allows you to take a photo of the person with their height measurement and share it with them.
The feature is not available on iPhones without a LiDAR Scanner.
