Dead Space’s Isaac Clarke is clearly a man of many talents. He’s a systems engineer by trade, so he knows his way around the dense innards of space vessels. He’s also handy around a toolbox and is more than familiar with high-risk equipment like the Plasma Cutter. Oh, and he’s remarkably good at slicing and dicing necromorphs into juicy squelchy lumps. What a resume!
But did you know that our favourite space engineer also has lots of secret talents too? When Dead Space originally came out in the back end of 2008, his corporate overseers at EA sent Mr. Clarke to do all sorts of odd jobs before he popped off on the believeable, but bleak USG Ishimiura. Golf caddy, professional skateboarder, even a part-time dragon slayer. Heck, he’s recently been back on the second gig train with his stint in Fortnite just earlier this week. The poor dude is in desperate need of a vacation. Until then, though, come and marvel at Isaac’s many talents and see what a hard worker he is.
The holidays may be over, but ’tis still the season for new Gaming Legends outfits in Fortnite. Chapter 4 kicked off with the reveal that the Doom Slayer and The Witcher, Geralt of Rivia, would be included with the Season 1 battle pass, and now we also have the very traumatized space engineer Isaac Clarke to celebrate this month’s remake of the original Dead Space game. Considering what he goes through in those games, a trip to the Fortnite island for Isaac will be like a relaxing vacation from cutting off all those necromorph limbs.
Isaac comes in a bundle that costs real money rather than V-Bucks–it’s one of the few collaboration sets like that, and the first Gaming Legends one. But don’t worry, the value of this pack is pretty great. For $12, you get the Isaac Clarke skin, two reactive back blings (including his iconic RIG that shows your health meter, and a model of the USG Ishimura), a Plasma Cutter pickaxe, and some V-Bucks for good measure.

The Cutter comes with a nice little convenience feature as well: an emote that you can use to conjure the weapon in the heat of battle even if you have a different pickaxe equipped, akin to the emotes for Doctor Strange’s magic sword or Wolverine’s claws.
The latest Fortnite crossover has already landed, bringing Isaac Clarke from the upcoming Dead Space Remake to Epic’s battle royale game. As we plough through Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1, and also look forward – kind of – to reboarding the Ishimura and the Dead Space Remake release date, this is the ideal collaboration to mark the start of 2023, and unite one of gaming’s most iconic heroes with its wackiest shooter.

Fortnite is no stranger to wacky crossovers. So much so, that many of its new additions don’t feel all that strange any more. In fact, dropping from the Battle Bus and landing in Slappy Shores as Doom Slayer almost feels natural… to an extent.
Fortnite’s latest collaboration is with Dead Space, and it’s right on time, considering the highly anticipated Dead Space remake launches on Friday, January 27.
Players of Epic Games’ colourful battle-royale will be able to adorn themselves in Isaac Clarke’s suit, and complete the look with Dead Space-themed back bling and a Plasma Cutter pickaxe. If bringing a slice of the haunting USG Ishimura into Fortnite with you sounds good, you can pick up the cosmetics by grabbing the Strange Transmissions Quest Pack.
The Dead Space Remake introduces a new look for Isaac Clarke, one that’s a little younger, a little fresher, and a little more based on his voice actor Gunner Wright. The goal of the new EA and Motive horror game is to presumably show Isaac before he was slashed, sliced, and emotionally and physically scarred by the Necromorphs aboard the Ishimura. A happier Isaac, who doesn’t realise just how bad things are about to get. Nevertheless, if you’re pining for his classic Dead Space 2 silver fox look – those piercing eyes and that ashen hair – you’re not alone, as Isaac Clarke redesigns have been rolling out ahead of the Dead Space release date.

Dead Space Remake, the upcoming EA horror game and rival to The Callisto Protocol, will offer hero Isaac Clarke a voice, “depth”, and “more agency” says developer Motive Studio, as a new Dead Space trailer launches, showcasing the Ishimura ahead of the Dead Space Remake release date.

The remake of the classic sci-fi horror game, Dead Space, is right around the corner. So, of course, Motive Studio has treated us to a shiny new launch trailer to get us all even more excited about the game.
The trailer, titled ‘Humanity Ends Here’, shows off Isaac aboard the USG Ishimura, which looks better than ever. More importantly, though, the trailer kindly gifts us glimpses of iconic scenes from the original game, detailing just how faithful this remake might be.
Release alongside a new entry to the Inside Dead Space series of blogs, Motive Studio has shown off explicitly just how much story matters this week. Whether it be through the familiar scenes shown in the trailer, or what the team shared in the blog post; it’s blatant that the story is pivotal to the remake.
