KHLOE Kardashian’s Good American Jeans were a TikToker’s latest bet to complete the near impossible task of finding a good pair of jeans.
Despite the high hopes, they didn’t fit well, and other places had the same look for less.
Lifestyle TikTok creator Mary Renée (@maryrenee_w) spent $1,000 at Good American to scout for the perfect pair of jeans.
According to Good American’s website, the brand is committed to challenging industry norms for a collection that is 100 percent inclusive.
The brand, started by Emma Grede and Khloe Kardashian in 2016, has made a name for itself with its mission to promote body positivity.
Good American’s pledge to inclusivity starts with a diverse range of sizing, beginning at 00 and going to 24.

The five-foot-one TikToker, who normally wears a size 0, said she splurged on the brand because “these are the only jeans that fit.”
Renée tried on the Good Waist Jacked Step Hem in the color “Blue 850,” $104.30. She described the first pair as an “essential skinny jean.”
This pair is designed with a gap-proof waistband and reinforced belt loop for maximum comfort.
“They’re super stretchy and comfortable,” she added, modeling the hole in the knee. “I love her stretchy skinny jeans,” she added.
Renée also showcased the Good Legs Crop Chewed Hem in “Blue837,” saying “these ones make my butt look good.” This best-selling pair retails for $139.
The TikToker then tried the Good 90’s in the shade “Blue812,” which retail for $155.
“These ones were hard as hell to get over my butt,” she said.
“For the first time ever, they actually fit my stomach and my hips,” she added. “They don’t make my butt look that good.”
Next, Renée tried on the Good Icon jeans in the shade “Blue952,” which are currently $149.
“They flatten my butt like a pancake,” she noted.
The petite digital creator was extremely disappointed in the mom jeans.
“I’m also sweating getting them on,” she added. “They’re not stretchy, they’re not comfortable, they’re not it.”
Renée also purchased the Good Boy 32″ Inseams in the shade “Indigo041,” $155.
“Unfortunately, they’re really cute from the front but I’m going to send them back,” she said, adding she could get a cheaper dupe for $100 less at Zara.
She was not a fan of the fit, adding she would feel “embarrassed” to wear the jeans.
Lastly, Renée showcased the Good 90’s in the shade “Black222.”
Though the pair is currently unavailable on the Good American site, they can be found online at Saks for $66.99-$83.00.
“They’re not as tight in the waist as the other one,” she noted. However, she concluded she was a fan of the baggy fit.
TikTok users were grateful for the honest haul and review. One commenter said: “You’re the first person I’ve seen try jeans who is the same height ad weight as me. Thank you for this.”
Renée chimed in: “Omg perfect!! It’s hard out here for us shorties.”
THE little pocket on jeans has a purpose and many people are just realizing what it is.
YouTuber Zack D. Films, who has more than 2.3million subscribers on the video-sharing platform, took to social media to share the meaning behind the little pocket in question.
The little pocket, which seemingly fits a finger or two inside, sits on top of the top right normal-sized pocket of your jeans.
Zack D. Films explains: “Have you ever wondered why your jeans have this little tiny pocket?
“Well, some people think it’s just part of the design. But that wasn’t always the case.
“It turns out that jean companies added this tiny little pocket for a very specific reason.”

He continued: “You see, back in the day workers needed to be able to tell the time while on the job.
“So jean companies added this tiny little pocket for a safe place to keep a pocket watch.”
The tiny-weeny pockets date back to 1890 when they were stitched into Levi’s ‘waist overalls’ jeans.
The now commonly seen blue jeans were made by Levi Strauss & Co, invented two centuries ago, and have remained ever since.
The tiny pockets are on the design in the patent Strauss and J.W. Davis made for “Improvement in Fastening Pocket Openings,” on May 20, 1873.
However, they were first put into mass use in 1890 with the “Lot 501” jeans, which became the model for the Levis 501 jeans we are familiar with today.
Levi Strauss & Co’s very own historian, Tracey Panek speaking to Insider said: “The oldest pair of waist overalls in the Levi Strauss & Co. Archives (from 1879) includes the watch pocket.”
“The watch pocket was a feature of our first waist overalls.” Levi’s explained.
The tiny pocket is never found on suit trousers because a pocket watch would be kept in the jacket of formal wear.
Suit jackets were designed to already have a pocket specifically for pocket watches, so a pocket on the trousers wasn’t needed.
Panek explains that the man Levi Strauss kept a pocket watch in the vest of his business suit.
So, is the tiny pocket pretty useless today?
We all tend to use our smartphones or even watches to check the time now, so finding a pocket watch is pretty rare.
The jeans still keep the mini pocket as a way of keeping the original 501 design alive, so essentially for nostalgia’s sake.
They have had the same design since the 19th century, with the exception of WWII when the metal hardware disappeared.
“One interesting fact about the watch pocket is that during WWII the two corner rivets were removed as a way to conserve metal for the war effort,” Panek said.
“The rivets returned to the watch pocket after the war.”
Trousers that have the tiny pocket are called “five-pocket pants,” but the little pocket is not actually the fifth on the jeans.
The fifth pocket is actually on the back-left, which was added to Levi’s 501 jeans in 1901.
“Our 19th century overalls had a single back pocket on right side of the pant beneath the leather patch,” Panek said.
“It was riveted in the top two corners and included our recognizable arch design, called the Arcuate, stitched with a single needle sewing machine.
“The watch pocket was an original element of our blue jeans, like the rivets on our pockets, button fly, arched back pocket stitching and leather patch,” Panek said.
“To preserve the integrity of the early design, Levi Strauss & Co. maintains the watch pocket.”
Other fashion brands also use the small pocket watch created by Levi’s but may put it in different spots on the trousers or hide it in different ways.
Some even hide it inside a bigger pocket.
They keep the tiny pocket as a way of making it clear the trousers are casual and not meant to be worn with a formal jacket.

THIS one item will help you organize your jeans in under 10 minutes, a fashion vlogger has revealed.
Jeans can take up a lot of space in your wardrobe which can lead to a big mess where it’s impossible to find anything.
A TikToker shared a hack that will organize your jeans in under 10 minutes[/caption]
However, Kylie Nelson on TikTok has a hack that can keep your closet clean and your jeans accessible.
All you need to do is get a pack of shower rings.
Kylie picked hers up from Target, but you can get them at any store with a home department.
Once you find some shower rings, take one and feed it through the two belt loops on either side of your jeans.

You can then clip the shower hook with the jeans onto your closet rod.
Repeat this process with all your jeans and then you have a perfectly organized closet.
At the end of the video, Kylie showed off her jeans, which she put in an ombré order.
She said that “this just might be [her] favorite hack,” in the caption of the video.
One commenter loved the idea but didn’t know if she could commit to it.
“This is genius except I’d do it for like 2 days and then they’d be all over the floor again,” she said.
Another person said: “This makes things ten times easier.”
A third viewer warned against this hack saying that it will stretch out your jeans.
“No cause I did this for a month and now all my jeans are stretched out on the belt loops.
“Don’t do this,” they said.
However an Old Navy worker said: “We use S Hooks at Old Navy to display our denim and they don’t rip or cause damage!
“I would recommend metal hooks over plastic though.”
‘This makes things ten times easier,’ said one person[/caption]
