What is a ‘DEVIL MONKEY?’
What is a ‘Devil Monkey?’ Every once in a while, I see the term pop up on social media and in eyewitness reports. It seems to be a vague moniker used to describe a variety of cryptids.
On January 12, 2006, the witness walked into his home to find a devil-like creature confronting his 6-year-old labrador dog. This creature seemed to be an unusual combination of a monkey, a dog, and the devil. Suddenly, it sprang to its hind legs and ran, nearly pushing us over to get to the open door I had just come through. This creature had long fangs, a monkey-like tail, and extremely bright glowing eyes.
In another report, An Ohio woman driving through Roanoke, Virginia at about 2:30 a.m. reported a similar encounter in the late 1990s while driving on a dark road at night and forced to take a detour due to road construction. She had driven past a road sign that read, “Red Wolf Crossing” close to Elizabeth City when a creature, which was not a wolf, leaped in front of her car.
The creature was all black with very short sleek fur, pointy ears, and a long thin tail. She described it as catlike, and yet not like any cat she had ever seen. The snout was flatter than a dog’s and more like a cat’s. The creature was very tall because she saw it when it was standing on its hind legs and was easily 6 feet tall. She indicated its torso looked very much like that of a very thin man and its head resembled a large monkey but with a pointy beard. However, the creature’s hind legs were like a wild cat or dog. It was very muscular and thin.
Later, the woman checked with the US Game and Wildlife Department who told her there were no black wolves in the area but suggested she had seen a feral dog (feral meaning “wild”) or a wolf-dog hybrid. But the woman was emphatic it was not a wolf or dog.
The woman explained the creature may have been on all fours just before leaping. The creature leaped with such force and height that it only took one bound to make it across both lanes of the highway. This indicates the creature leaped more than 18 feet or 6 meters to get across the road. Dogs and wolves do not leap this far in one jump. Even larger animals such as deer usually take several bounds to leap across a road.
According to Cryptid Wiki:
Sightings of mysterious primate-like creatures have been reported across the United States since the 1930s fully-haired. “Devil Monkeys” are described as similar to baboons, but larger, faster, and meaner.
They are described as three to eight feet tall, walking on all fours or upright, with large feet, fully-haired bodies, and a monkey or dog-like face. Cryptozoologists have confirmed that the Devil Monkey is indeed a distinct creature, different than its mythical cousins, the Chupacabra and Bigfoot.
NOTE: The information was forwarded to me a few years ago by a friend who has been collecting reports of what he describes as a ‘Devil Monkey’. These descriptions were somewhat different than most other primate cryptids. In at least one instance, this creature killed and fed on dogs and cats but did not bother livestock.
Most of the sightings occur in the remote parts of the Appalachian Mountains, in particular, Virginia & Pennsylvania. Lon

Synthetic Embryos Have Been Implanted Into Monkey Wombs
The team used a set of lab conditions, which they tweaked and improved, to encourage embryonic stem cells to develop further. Over several days, the cells began developing in a very similar way to embryos. The resulting blobs of cells are called blastoids, because they look like early embryos, which are called blastocysts. After the blastoids had been growing in a dish for seven days, the researchers put them through a series of tests to figure out how similar they were to typical embryos. In one test, the team separated the individual cells in the blastoids and checked to see which genes were expressed in each one. The team analyzed over 6,000 individual cells this way.
These tests revealed close similarities between the stem-cell-derived embryos and conventional monkey embryos. Some of the blastoids were grown for longer — up to 17 days. These structures looked very much like typical embryos, the researchers say, although other scientists not involved in the study say more evidence is needed to prove just how similar they are. The only way to find out how embryo-like these blastoids really are is to test whether they can develop in a monkey’s uterus. So the team put between eight and 10 seven-day-old blastoids into the uteruses of each of eight adult monkeys. The researchers then monitored the transferred blastoids for three weeks. The researchers believe that in three of these monkeys, the blastoids successfully implanted in the uterus and appeared to generate a yolk sac — one of the very first signs of pregnancy. These monkeys also had elevated levels of pregnancy hormones. In other words, they would have had a positive pregnancy test. But within 20 days of transfer, the monkey blastoids stopped developing and seemed to come apart, say Liu and colleagues, who published their results in the journal Cell Stem Cell. The results suggest that blastoids still aren’t perfect replicas of normal embryos. “That might be because a typical embryo is generated from an egg, which is then fertilized by sperm,” reports MIT Technology Review. “A blastoid made from stem cells might express genes in the same way as a normal embryo, but it may be missing something crucial that normally comes from an egg.”
“There’s also a chance that the team might have seen more progress if the experiment had been done in more monkeys. After all, of the 484 blastoids that were developing at day seven, only five survived to day 17.”

FLYING WINGED MONKEY Reported in Jacksonville, Florida Suburb
A reader swears that they observed a small monkey with large wings flying away after passing it on a suburban street near Jacksonville, Florida. What did he and his passenger see?
Received in May 2017 from a reader near Jacksonville, Florida:
“This is going to sound totally unbelievable but I swear I saw something like a flying monkey last night. I was driving on a neighborhood street and this strange animal was on the roadway. I could see its head and it looked like a monkey to me but it was small like the size of a prairie dog or gopher. I kept saying “what is that?” I drove around it as it would not move (possibly dazed by my headlights). My friend thought it was a possum until we passed it and we both said “that wasn’t a possum.” I quickly turned around and all I saw were huge wings (way too big for that animal) flying away.
Now obviously I said, that had to be an owl or whatever it was just got snatched up by a giant owl. The problem is that this thing had a head and a neck and it was standing on two feet leaning forward staring right at the car and didn’t move.
I am so confused as to what I saw even though I was so close to it. I mean I see owls all the time, big ones too. I know what they look like. That thing in the road, if it was an owl, was a mutant owl. Even if I admit it was probably an owl, its wings were still far too big for its size. I have no idea what I saw but I swear it looked like a small monkey to me.
I live in Florida and although I live near Jacksonville (northeast Florida), in south Florida, there was a Walmart that had monkeys living in the parking lot due to owners letting them escape. So, it is possible that it was an escaped tiny monkey although extremely unlikely. But wings? The whole thing was so confusing.” RA
NOTE: I never did like those damn flying monkeys in ‘The Wizard of Oz.’ They used to freak me out as a kid. So folks, what did the reader witness? Lon

New Video: Harp and a Monkey – Travelling Salesman
I’m a girl mechanic – I love my job as a ‘grease monkey’ but other women say they’d be fired if they dressed like me
A GIRL mechanic shows some skin to get greasy at work.
The hardworking woman shared her look in the shop, but people weren’t impressed.
Daimee Rosales (@daimeecharisma_rosales) posted a video of her giving a car an oil change.
The skilled female mechanic stood underneath the vehicle, covered in grease.
Her all-black look helped conceal the black stains, but viewers didn’t think her outfit was appropriate.
She wore high-waisted skinny jeans and a cropped black T-shirt.
Most of her stomach was visible when she lifted her arms.
Daimee donned a pair of high-top laced work boots.
“When you’re working and the wind is blowing your hair, it then feels like I’m in a photoshoot,” Daimee proclaimed.
“Love my job #greasemonkey.”
While Daimee felt confident in her outfit, people couldn’t understand how she could wear the revealing attire.
A critical woman commented: “My boss would probably fire me if I go to work like that. Proper work clothes and hair in a bun are a must.”
“Hope it is for video purposes only, but free long hair, and no protective glass are a hazardous situation! You’re young please protect yourself,” one experienced individual pointed out.
An individual added: “Be careful with the hair. It’s pretty, but it might get caught.”
A man thought doubted Daimee was a mechanic entirely.
“Your boots tell the story….. you are definitely on a photoshoot,” he said.
However, an interested man thought differently.
“Now, that’s a lady you take home to your mom,” the excited viewer proclaimed.
Another man agreed: “Love me a woman like this.”
‘I Saw the ‘MISSISSIPPI MONKEY MAN’ (VIDEO)
In a May 2009 video, a man (Michael Alvarado) talks about the night he encountered the ‘Mississippi Monkey Man’ during a late-night trip back from Norfolk, Virginia.
“It was a very hot summer night. I was coming back from Virginia Beach, and I and my girlfriend at the time were together by the time I got to Mississippi. I had left Virginia early in the morning in the car. By the time I got to Mississippi, Highway 59, it was already close to midnight, or maybe 1 in the morning. Highway 59 in eastern Mississippi is very, very lonely. You just have Highway 59 with the traffic going that way and the traffic coming this way, and you’ve got tall trees on both sides and nothing else. Maybe you might have a little rest area or a little Mom & Pop gas station every 15 or 20 miles. But in between there is nothing.
As I drove that night, I was tired and I was on the road from the morning, since the state of Virginia. My girlfriend was already asleep and my little boy was in the backseat. Because I’m a night person, I didn’t have a problem staying awake. As I drove down that highway, on the side, I saw a man…a man walking, walking kinda fast, looking down. Very tall, loping man that I thought was wearing a coat. I thought, what in the hell is he doing here?, first of all, why in the hell is he wearing a damn coat on this hot Mississippi night? I said, “Honey, I saw a man walking all alone. I need to help him.” She said, “Are you crazy?” I said, “No, I’m not going to offer him a ride, I’m going to give him some money so that way as soon as he gets to the next town he can get a room or buy himself a nice hot meal or whatever.”
So I put the car in reverse to make sure that I wouldn’t get ahead. I was already about 2000 feet ahead of him but I was going in reverse and he was closer to the woods. He was actually on the shoulder of the highway. I stopped the car and he stops. He looks at me and I notice a massive man, and my eyes are trying to adjust to the darkness of the night and I said, “Sir, Sir, I would like to offer you some money, Sir, so that way you could rent a room in the next town.” He looks at me, and I realized I was not looking at a man. He made a loud, loud screeching sound that even today my ears hurt and then he ran into the woods. I was so horrified. I got in that car, and I said, “Honey…” I didn’t say anything else. I put the car in first gear and I drove 85 miles an hour and my girlfriend was like, “What happened? What happened, Honey, what did he do to you?” I said, “Honey, it wasn’t a man, it was Sasquatch. I just had an encounter with Bigfoot.” Later on, I realized that there have been stories dating back to the 1800s and 1700s about the Mississippi Monkey Man. Stories passed on by the slave Indians, people from back then about the Mississippi Monkey Man.”
