Apple’s First-Ever Store Moving to New Location: ‘A New Chapter is Coming Soon’
Steeber said the following message was posted on a temporary wall at a new location in the mall:
The first-ever Apple Store opened 22 years ago here at Tysons Corner. Soon we look forward to welcoming you to this newly reimagined space. Thank you for being part of our story. Here’s to the next chapter.
Apple has yet to announce a grand opening date for the new location, and the current store remains open for now. On the store’s page, Apple teases that “a new chapter is coming soon,” without providing any further details. The mall’s website says Apple’s new store will be located on the upper level between Nespresso and Victoria’s Secret.
In what has become an iconic video, Steve Jobs conducted a tour of Apple Tysons Corner, unveiling the Genius Bar and more. The store opened to the public on May 19, 2001, just a few hours before Apple Glendale Galleria opened its doors in Glendale, California. The two locations welcomed over 7,700 people and sold a combined total of $599,000 of merchandise through the first weekend of operations, according to Apple.
Steeber said the new store’s opening will be significant:
It goes without saying that this opening will be significant because it’s the first time the first Apple Store has ever moved. But this opening will be much more than that — trust me. Tysons Corner is where it all began.
The existing storefront had already received a facelift in the 2000s, losing its iconic black facade with two backlit Apple logos on each side of the entrance.

Ready your flashlights: Alan Wake 2 moving towards final production stage
Remedy Entertainment has stated development on Alan Wake 2 is making steady progress and going well.
So well in fact, it is moving towards the final stage of full production.
This is good news, as it means a 2023 release is still planned. Earlier this year, the studio said the game would soon have all content in place and that it was “playable from start to finish.”
Microsoft 365 apps are moving to a whole new domain
Microsoft 365 apps are moving to the cloud.microsoft domain
Microsoft is planning to move Microsoft 365 apps onto a single domain, cloud.microsoft. Currently, the company’s apps are scattered across a wide variety of domains, which means it can be confusing to know where to find a certain service if you don’t have it memorized or bookmarked somewhere.
Seriously, Microsoft currently uses a lot of domains. Check out this word cloud from Microsoft showing just a few of the domains Microsoft customers have to sort through:
But under this new system, you can instead use URLs like “outlook.cloud.microsoft” and “teams.cloud.microsoft” to get to the app you’re looking for, as shown in the below GIF from the company. Much cleaner.

Mario Is Moving Away From Mobile Games
“First and foremost, Nintendo’s core strategy is a hardware and software integrated gaming experience,” said Miyamoto, who played a pivotal role in designing the Wii, among other Nintendo consoles. “The intuitiveness of the control is a part of the gaming experience. When we explored the opportunity of making Mario games for the mobile phone — which is a more common, generic device — it was challenging to determine what that game should be. That is why I played the role of director for Super Mario Run, to be able to translate that Nintendo hardware experience into the smart devices.”
Elaborating on the merits of Run and Tour, Miyamoto continued, “Having Mario games as mobile apps expands the doorway for far more audience to experience the game, and also expands the Mario gaming experience, where you only need your thumb on one hand.” Referencing the innovation of the Super Mario Maker series and Super Mario Odyssey, which Miyamoto called “the ultimate evolution of a Mario adventure game on a typical 3D platformer,” the Nintendo exec laid out how the company begins to develop a Mario game: “We try to define what is the gameplay, what is the method, and then define what devices we go on.” When asked when fans can expect the next mainline Mario game, Miyamoto chuckled and said: “All I can say is please stay tuned for future Nintendo Directs.”

Wyoming Ranchers SHOOT HUGE BIGFOOT While Moving Cattle
A group of ranchers was moving cattle in the Bighorn National Forest when they notice a huge Bigfoot watching them from the woods. One of the ranchers shot at it and apparently hit it.
The following was recently forwarded to me:
“I and 2 other guys were moving cattle from the eastern side of Bighorn National Forest, Wyoming. We got up early one morning and started working just as dawn was breaking. At one point, 3 of us saw this tall, thick creature standing along the forest edge watching us. One guy took 3 shots at it about 50 yards away with a 30/30,. It screamed and we heard others crashing in the bush.
We got our things together quickly as I wanted to lead our horses away from the wood line to give ourselves an edge in case we got charged. We would have more time to act and our feet would be on the ground in case of an attack moving south along the edge of the forest. We could occasionally hear something moving along with us. We turned east heading for the town and found a group of hunters camped out. So I decided to make camp with them. I felt like I had to tell the guide what was up. I didn’t want to bring any problems to their camp but I felt like I didn’t have much of a choice.
That night we sat and listened to something a ways off just whaling for hours. Thankfully the guide had no problem helping us and most of all he was glad we told him nothing happened that night.
The guy who shot at the thing quit as soon as we got back and we never heard from him again. I will say I feel if we hadn’t found a hunting party we would have had a fight on our hands. That was in 1979 and I’ll never forget the sounds these things make.” MM
