Windows 11 Pro Is On Sale For Only $23 For A Limited Time
If you’re planning on building your own PC or want to replace your operating system, you should check out this deal on Windows 11 Pro. For a limited time, you can purchase a Windows 11 Pro license for only $23. Windows 11 Pro retails for $200 (Home version is $139) directly from Microsoft, so this is quite the deal if you’re in need of a Windows 11 license.
That’s an impressive price cut, but not everyone will be eligible for the savings. Specifically, this purchase is designed for “PCs that need a new license for Windows and meet the minimum requirements for Windows 11.” If you need help checking your specs, you can verify your compatibility here.
It’s worth noting that if you already have an active Windows 10 license, you should be able to upgrade for free. This deal could be useful for you if you’re looking to build your own computer or want to install Windows on a compatible device that doesn’t currently have it.
Get two years of NordPass Premium for only $35
It should go without saying that you really need to have a unique, complex password for every account and service you use. Keeping track of all those credentials manually would be an onerous task, which is why everyone could benefit from having a password manager. NordPass is one of our favorite password managers and the Premium plan is currently on sale. In particular, the two-year plan is 56 percent off at $35, plus you’ll get an extra three months of access at no additional cost.
The free version of the service allows you to autosave and autofill passwords, keys and credit card details. Opt for Premium and you’ll get a bunch more features for a reasonable price. For one thing, you’ll be able to remain logged into NordPass when you switch devices and attach files to items you have stored.
You’ll be able to mask your email address every time a website asks you to submit one. Given that the app uses a unique mask each time, you’ll reduce the risk of having your email exposed if there’s a breach. On that note, NordPass Premium can scour the web for data breaches to check whether your personal information was exposed. The app can also pick up on weak or reused passwords and prompt you to change them.
In addition, NordVPN is running a sale on its products, with up to 67 percent off two-year plans. One big benefit of plumping for an Ultimate plan is that it includes NordPass. Two years of access will cost you $153. Our main reservations about NordVPN is that the prices of its plans are too high and it doesn’t have as many features as competing VPNs that Engadget has tested. Still, the discount might be enough to make it worthwhile for you to start using the service.

Now that Counter Strike 2 has custom crafts, CS2 fans are expressing themselves as only they can
Counter Strike 2 has recently gotten an amazing update for those of you out there who love a little bit of customization in their tactical first person shooter. However, while some are innocently slapping stickers on their favourite weapons as Gaben intended, others have gone down a darker path.
This includes spelling out naughty sentences, creating phallic images, and having an all-around raunchy time with it. Such is the eternal truth about video game creativity – if you place the option for folks to make honkin hogs in their video game, they’ll do it.
Some of these are quite rude, so obviously don’t take a look at those if you’ve got kids or your boss is around. There are some lush safe-for-work creations out there too though – like this cool recreation of the M4 Howl. That was made by -Maid on the CS2 Reddit, and if that’s any indication of the creativity folks will apply to custom sticker placement then I’m all for it.

Amazon Prime Air hoped for 10,000 drone deliveries this year — it’s only done 100
Amazon is having a tough time with Prime Air, its drone delivery program. CNBC is reporting that it’s learned Amazon’s drones have made just 100 deliveries in the two locations in California and Texas the company is operating Prime Air.
The company had projected in January it would send 10,000 deliveries to customers via its fleet of flying robots by the end of 2023. It started off slow, with a report in February saying that Amazon had served fewer than 10 households. But the pace doesn’t seem to have picked up.
In light of its flagging progress, Amazon has now admitted to CNBC it has adjusted its delivery goal. The program has been in the works for close to a decade, with Prime Air was then Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos announcing plans for…

LA’s Star Garden dancers set to become country’s only unionized strippers
After more than a year of organizing, a group of Los Angeles dancers is on the brink of becoming the nation’s only union-represented strippers, marking a new milestone in the country’s organized labor movement.
Strippers and their supporters at Star Garden Topless Dive Bar in North Hollywood had been calling for better working conditions, pay, and on-site safety, which prompted a push to become the first group of its kind in the country to gain union recognition since dancers at the Lusty Lady club in San Francisco unionized in 1996. But for months the organizing demand was met with an ice-out by Star Garden management, which refused to engage in negotiations with the dancers.
In a Tuesday press release, the union announced that lawyers representing the owners of the Star Garden Topless Dive Bar had withdrawn all election challenges and agreed to recognize the union. A union election vote count will be held on Thursday, May 18. Once the vote is counted, the National Labor Relations Board must certify the results. Star Garden employees can then formally unionize and engage in collective bargaining with management. The dancers’ chapter would be joining the Actors’ Equity Association, a national union for entertainment workers.
“Strippers are live entertainers. While some elements of their job are unique, they are essentially performance artists, and have a lot in common with other Equity members who dance for a living. Every worker who wants a union deserves a union,” said Actors’ Equity Association president Kate Shindle.
“If you have been following our journey, then you know this has been a long, exhausting fight, which is why this victory is so sweet. We put everything we have into this campaign, and we were fortunate to have the support and solidarity from the club’s patrons, our allies and friends, the labor movement and our union, Actors’ Equity Association,” wrote Reagan, one of the Star Garden dancers, in the announcement.
In 2022, the group led a “Stripper’s Strike” outside of Star Garden, prompted by the bar management physically locking out a group of employees who delivered a privacy and safety grievance to the club’s owners. The dancers alleged they weren’t being protected from aggressive customers, were filmed without their consent, and were forced to deal with arbitrary job requirements as contracted employees. Multiple dancers who attempted to bring up concerns were fired.
The Star Garden dancer-led picket line attempted to push management to address their concerns and discourage patrons (and fellow dancers) from entering the club until the group’s demands were met. They joined forces with Strippers United, a national strippers advocacy organization, and sought out pro bono legal aid prior to filing with the National Labor Relations Board in August and conducting its first vote last fall, with results put on hold due to employer legal filings and objections.
The owners of Star Garden filed for bankruptcy at the time, but are expected to work toward dismissing the bankruptcy and could reopen the club within 30 to 60 days, according to the union statement. The parties have agreed to meet within 30 days to negotiate a contract.

Dancers at Star Garden had organized a wave of national support via social media, as seen on their Instagram page, @StripperStrikeNoho. The group had also called on supporters to sign their petition, “Star Garden Petition for Jobs and Safety”. Their latest push is a collaboration with Stripper Co-op, a dancer-owned strip “club” that operates through pop-up event series, to purchase their own club using grassroots fundraising efforts.
“I’m excited that all of my beautiful coworkers will finally have a seat at the table and a voice to discuss safety and other issues,” wrote Sinder, another Star Garden dancer, in the Actors’ Equity Association press release. “This is a big day for us and dancers everywhere.”
