Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores patch comes to the rescue by fixing a major progression bug
Guerrilla Games has released a rather large patch for Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores, and it contains a highly-requested big fix.
The bug in question would stop progression cold, as it would not allow you to follow Seyka into the tower during the main questline, To the Burning Shores. The objective has now been fixed, so feel free to follow her. Four other issues with this main questline are also no longer going to plague you.
Elsewhere, an issue stopping you from completing the side objective Aerial Capture: North has been addressed, and four different problems with the His Final Act quest are now fixed.

The Zelim Guardian is an automated search and rescue craft
Since 2020, Zelim, a little-known startup based out of the UK, has been quietly working to change how first responders take on maritime rescues. “We are here to make unmanned search and rescue normal,” the company declares on its website. An accompanying YouTube video details some of the technologies it’s developing to realize that vision. One of those solutions, an automated rescue craft called the Guardian, is a step closer to reality.
On Tuesday, Zelim announced the craft will integrate the SM300 remote control and command system from Sea Machines, a firm that specializes in autonomous and computer vision software for sea vessels. According to Zelim, the system will allow the Guardian to carry out search and rescue operations on its own. It will also allow first responders to pilot the craft remotely from a “command center anywhere in the world.” The vessel will also integrate Zelim’s own SARBox tech for detecting and tracking overboard sailors and passengers. Once the system detects someone, the Guardian will deploy Zelim’s Swift solution, a device that looks like a conveyor belt, to pull people from the water. “This combination of technologies gives the vessel a unique capability and is a global first for the maritime industry,” the company claims.
Zelim envisions the Guardian launching from a mothership. Since it’s a fully automated craft, the Guardian can venture out into conditions that would be normally deemed too dangerous for a human crew. In that way, not only would it reduce the risk to first responders, but it could also mean the difference between life and death when time is critical. Zelim expects to begin putting the Guardian through extensive sea trials starting later this year.

Terrified girl, 17, clings to paddleboard adrift in the Atlantic for 22 hours until miracle rescue by ship’s crew
A GIRL was swept far out to sea on her paddleboard by a freak wind and was stranded alone for 22 hours.
Erica Vicente, 17, was found adrift 28 miles out in the Atlantic Ocean last week after clinging onto her board for dear life in a gruelling experience of survival.

The freighter crew spotted Erica by chance 28 miles out to sea[/caption]
Erica had been practicing her paddle board skills when she was suddenly swept out to sea by sudden strong winds near Monte Gordo in Portugal‘s Algarve region.
A huge search and rescue operation was launched to find the teenager, however they had no luck.
The terrified 17-year-old was only saved when the crew of a Dutch cargo ship – the MSC Reef – spotted her as they sailed towards Morocco.
The crew pulled her aboard the freighter on 15th April at 5.30pm, almost an entire day after she had disappeared and cheated death.
The startling footage captures the moment they carry out the technical operation to rescue her and skilfully carry her to safety.
They also managed to communicate with Erica in English to get her details and inform authorities.
She is now recovering at the Faro Hospital in the Algarve capital Faro.
Clinic boss Horacio Guerreiro said: “She is fine, stable, she is not dehydrated.”
He explained that Erica – from Setubal, in Portugal, – was drowsy but had suffered no serious injuries and was on the path to making a full recovery.
Guerreiro said: “She is fine, she is accompanied by her mother. I don’t know when she can be discharged, but maybe in 24 or 48 hours if all goes well.
“At this stage, the sensitive thing is to see if her kidney function can be maintained, because with hydration there can be problems in terms of brain function, because sometimes if you force the intake of liquids there may be situations of cerebral oedema, but we are not predicting that.”
He added: “It’s a short recovery period for someone who has been under extreme stress. She is being monitored, she is accompanied by her mother, and she is fine, and very calm.
“I congratulated her on her resistance, she is not very communicative. But she is a tough one.
“With so much time at sea, it’s surprising for everyone, this girl is a hero without a doubt.”

Ramblers stoned on magic mushrooms led to safety by rescue team in Lake District
WALKERS stoned on magic mushrooms had to be led to safety by a mountain rescue team.
The group of young men was spotted looking ill and struggling by passers-by who raised the alarm.
When they checked on them it became clear they had eaten the hallucinogenic fungi and two in particular were struggling.
Eleven members of Keswick Mountain Rescue Team scrambled to Newlands Valley in the Lake District.
They reached the group at 2.15pm on Sunday and spent two hours walking them to safety.
They then gave advice on how long the hallucinogenic effects would take to wear off.
A rescue team spokesman said: “Two were feeling unwell, including the driver in the party.
“The casualties were walked down and given advice by the team medic regarding the timing of their onward travel.”
The possession, cultivation and sale of magic mushrooms is illegal under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 and can carry a seven-year jail term.
The mushrooms have a similar effect to LSD and the hallucinogenic ingredient, psilocybin, is a Class A substance.
But campaigners, including Tory MP Crispin Blunt, want the law changed owing to their “exciting potential” for the treatment of mental health conditions.
Mr Blunt has urged the government to classify them the same as medical cannabis, which was legalised in 2018.
