Amazon Starts Flagging ‘Frequently Returned’ Products That You Maybe Shouldn’t Buy
Having a visible warning that such items are usually returned not only deters consumers from buying them but also could encourage retailers to be honest about their listings or at least improve on issues that lead to higher product returns in the first place. The returns warning has already appeared on a few third-party listings fulfilled by Amazon, such as the Pro-Ject Automat A1 record player and two dresses spotted by The Information. You may need to be logged in to an Amazon account to see the returns notifications. These three items have a reasonably high star rating, which may initially reassure prospective consumers, but glancing at the customer reviews indicates that the products are not true to size or have previously arrived damaged.

Inside creepy abandoned ghost town where locals left their homes… and never returned
THIS is the ghost town locals left but never returned to.
The eerie village of Imber, on Salisbury Plain, Wiltshire, has stood empty for almost 80 years.

Imber, on Salisbury Plain, Wiltshire, was abandoned during WWII[/caption]
An abandoned church, homes and town hall are all that remain of a once bustling village – locked securely behind metal gates.
But it had its heart and soul ripped out at the start of WW2 when residents were told to collect their belongings and leave.
It followed orders that the area was to be turned into a military training ground for the British Army ahead of the Allied invasion of mainland Europe.
Residents were dispersed to nearby towns and villages, understanding the evacuation would be temporary.
But even when the war ended, they were not allowed to return.
Ever since then, Imber, once home to 150 people, has stood empty bar visits by soldiers and the occasional tour.
That is until an exceptionally rare ceremony granted a fascinating glimpse into life inside the ghost town.
Raymond Nash’s remains were returned to the tiny settlement on Thursday for his funeral.
The great-grandfather and former mechanic, who died at the age of 87 last month, moved with his mother from his first home in December 1943, when he was just a baby.
He left Imber after his father died aged just 31 but always hoped to be buried alongside his father at St Giles Church in the village.
To be buried in Imber a person needs to have been born in or to have lived in the village.
Following special permission from the Ministry of Defence, Raymond’s funeral went ahead, the first of its kind since 2012.
Around 110 mourners attended Thursday’s service at St Giles Church to pay their respects.
Kelvin Nash, Raymond’s 63 year old son, said the family have only been able to visit the village on select, restricted-access visiting days run by the MoD.
Addressing mourners , Mr Nash – a councillor who lives in Devizes – said: “He told us all about his village life, nearly getting run down by the army trucks.
“It can’t have been easy growing up without a Dad but he made the most of life.
“Wherever his journey took him, he made new friends and always managed to lend a helping hand.”
There are still two or three people alive who were born in Imber who could qualify to be buried in the ghost town.
It means Raymond’s funeral could be the last ever to be held at St Giles Church.

Rejoice, one of the best Soulslikes has returned to Game Pass
I’m sure Game Pass subscribers can relate to the pain of having a game leave the service, especially when you’re in the middle of a hefty playthrough. Your options are to binge the game in two weeks, buy the game outright, or cry. Unless you were playing Mortal Shell, in which case all you have to do is wait a month for the title to be re-added. The fantasy Soulslike had left the service on November 30th last year, but now it’s back, this time with the Enhanced Edition.
The Wall Street Journal: Southwest Airlines says it has returned to ‘a normal schedule’
I’m plus-size and spent $361 on Kim Kardashian’s Skims – I returned most of it, they were unflattering and impractical
WHEN a plus-size follower placed a major order of bras and shapewear from Skims, she had high expectations for the haul.
But she wound up sending most of the pieces from Kim Kardashian’s brand back because they were unflattering, ill-fitting, and impractical.
Canadian fashion blogger Chantal Sarkisian, better known to her followers as Chantsy, shares fashion advice and beauty tips on her TikTok page.
When she placed her first order from Skims, Sarkisian received the $361 shipment in exactly one week. In a video review, she tried on her purchases.
Sarkisian consulted the Skims sizing chart, and since she typically wears a size 16 or XL, she said she ordered her lingerie and shapewear in a size 2X.
“The first is the Scoop Neck Bra,” Sarkisian said, modeling the $34 bra from the Fits Everybody collection.
Sarkisian usually wears a 40D cup size, and despite following the size chart, she found the bra shockingly snug.
“This being a 2X is small,” she said, pulling at the fabric. “I could’ve gotten the 3X, but that seems a little bit crazy.”
She said the first bra was tight, but not uncomfortable, though it didn’t fit her chest properly.
When she moved on to the Bandeau Bra, $28, Sarkisian immediately knew it wasn’t a keeper.
“I bought this because I was looking for a strapless bra, but this ain’t it,” she said.
Despite the tight fit that was “digging” into her skin, the bra provided no real support.
“It’s making me have frown boobies,” Sarkisian said, tracing the downward slope of her breasts.
The vlogger had better luck with the $62 Sculpting Bodysuit from the brand.
“I sort of knew what to expect with this,” Sarkisian said after she squeezed into the bodysuit. “I knew it was going to be a workout to get on.”
The bodysuit looked great with shorts. When she put a clingy dress over the bodysuit, Sarkisian said, it kept her body “nice and tucked in.”
“I definitely feel more comfortable and have more support in my abdomen area,” Sarkisian said. “I feel less vulnerable if that makes sense.”
The last piece she tried was also a bodysuit: the Mid-Thigh Sculpting Bodysuit with Open Gusset, $68.
“What I like about it is that it’s lightweight and kind of cooling,” Sarkisian said. “I’m not sweating in it.”
She tried to pair this bodysuit with a dress, too, but ran into a problem: the high slit on the dress revealed part of the long bodysuit.
Unfortunately, the ‘impractical’ bodysuit showed through her thigh-high slit[/caption]
“Oopsie-doodle,” Sarkisian said, reaching to roll up the shaping garment.
The plan backfired, though, when the rolled-up spandex started pinching her skin.
“You can’t really do that because then you get a bulge,” she said.
“Personally, I would’ve preferred shorter shorts,” Sarkisian noted, “but I understand that some ladies need more compression in the legs.”
After trying on all the Skims items, Sarkisian printed off a pre-paid label and got an envelope ready.
“I’m returning most of my order,” she said. “I’m returning the two bras, that was clear in the video, but I actually decided to return the bodysuit with the shorts.”
She described the thigh-length bodysuit as impractical and expensive, especially when compared to the other bodysuit.
“I feel like the bodysuit will work for me, especially since it has the snaps,” Sarkisian said.
NASA’s Artemis 1 Moon mission has returned to Earth
NASA’s Artemis 1 mission has returned to Earth following a successful trip around the Moon. On Saturday, at approximately 12:40PM ET, the uncrewed Orion vessel landed off the coast of Baja, California, completing a nearly 26-day journey that saw the spacecraft break an Apollo flight record and send back stunning photos of Earth’s natural satellite.
On its way to the Pacific Ocean, Orion performed what’s known as a skip entry. After entering the Earth’s upper atmosphere, the crew vessel briefly used its own lift to “skip” back out before re-entering for the final descent. In doing so, it became the first spacecraft designed to carry humans to carry out such a maneuver.

“This is an extraordinary day,” Administrator Bill Nelson said during the NASA livestream. “… It’s one that marks new technology, a whole new breed of astronaut, a vision for the future that captures the DNA of particularly Americans — although we do this as an international venture — and that DNA is we are adventures, we are explorers, we always have a frontier, and that frontier is to now continue exploring the heavens.”
Now that Orion has safely returned to Earth, NASA will begin assessing all the data that the spacecraft collected on its 1.4 million-mile journey through space and begin preparing for Artemis II. That mission, currently scheduled for 2024, will see human astronauts fly aboard the Orion spacecraft. Then, as early as 2025 or 2026, NASA hopes to carry out its first lunar landing since the end of the Apollo program in 1972. It could take the US Navy up to five hours to recover the Orion spacecraft, though a preliminary inspection from a helicopter indicated the capsule was undamaged.
Getting here wasn’t easy. NASA’s next-generation Space Launch System gave the agency plenty of headaches before it successfully carried Artemis 1 to space on November 16th. NASA spent much of the summer troubleshooting fuel leaks and engine problems. Come fall, Hurricane Ian and later tropical storm Nicole further delayed the launch of Artemis 1, but after all of that was said and done, the SLS produced one of the most memorable rocket launches in decades. A nighttime flight saw the rocket lit up the Kennedy Space Center.

More broadly, the conclusion of Artemis 1 caps off one of NASA’s most successful years in recent memory. Among other achievements, 2022 saw the James Webb Space Telescope begin operation and start producing stunning images of the cosmos, and the DART spacecraft successfully alter the orbit of an asteroid. Now the agency turns its attention to the Moon and beyond.
