Taylor Swift – you may have heard of her. She’s only the single biggest pop star of her generation, a cultural icon and musical force whose popularity is inescapable. The new addition to sci-fi schmup RoboSquad Revolution bares a striking resemblance to her, but has enough legal distinctions to not be identical.
Today in legally-distinct depictions of pop culture figures, indie shooter RoboSquad Revolution has introduced a new character called Saylor Twist to its game, who may or may not resemble a certain incredibly popular Grammy-winning, world-touring American pop star.
Miss Twist joins the cast of RoboSquad wearing her partner Trevon Celcius’s number 87 jersey, along with a white beanie, and various robot parts to match the game’s themeing. RoboSquad developer Zorans Resistance hasn’t said whether Celcius might be added at some point to join Twist in game.
RoboSquad Revolution is a free-to-play arena shooter that launched last year into early access on Steam and the Epic Games Store. Players take on the role of a robot revolutionary, fighting against the human-led Zoran Task Force.
Disney has won the streaming competition for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour film. This afternoon the company announced that Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version) will be available exclusively on the service starting March 15th.
This is being billed as “the concert film in its entirety for the first time,” since this version will include “Cardigan” and four additional acoustic songs that weren’t part of the theatrical film or the video-on-demand rental, which itself tacked on several bonus tracks.
The Eras Tour film grossed over $260 million worldwide at the box office, enough to make it the top-selling concert film of all time. It was released for digital rental in December, and now is finally making the move to a streaming…
