That’s poetry gold,’ people say as they mock bizarre romantic tattoo – the Blink 182 reference isn’t the weirdest part
A BIZARRE romantic tattoo has come in for a lot of stick.
It’s been roundly mocked by users on a public Facebook page.
There were a few who could see the beauty in it.
But for most, it was just too baffling.
“It’s poetry gold,” said one ink art fan.
The Blink 182 reference wasn’t the weirdest part.
The poem appeared on the ‘I’m not tattoo-shaming, but I’m tattoo-sorry you gotta deal with that’ Facebook page.
“Rose are red, violets are blue, Garlic bread, Blink 182,” was the extent of this creative output.
There was no doubt the inspiration for this rhyming couplet came from many quarters.
There was a smattering of traditional poetry, 20th-century American rock, and, most strangely, garlic bread.
The opening line either contained a typo or was loaded with meaning.
The second line passed without muster.
Blink-182 is an American rock band. Originally just Blink, they added the ‘182’ to distinguish them from another similarly named band.
The numbers refer to the number of times Al Pacino’s character in Scarface said the word f**k.
The last line, however, has had commenters perplexed.
Could it be a reference to poetry being considered the food of love?
Or simply an appetite for the delicious garlicky bread.
Commenters enjoyed the show and shared their views.
“No need to shame here. This is perfect,” said one person.
Another said it was “poetry gold.”
“Tattoo inspiration,” said one user.
“Best quote of all time, wrote another.
But this person put a great deal of though into their theory.
“I like to think it’s saying ‘the red rose’ in and older-English grammatical structure.
“As if there’s some terrifying entity or demon hoard called ‘the red’ that awakes every 100,000 years to cause havoc.
“The only way to appease it is to give it garlic bread and play Blink 182.”

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has a lovely nod to BotW’s DLC that’s easy to miss
If you’ve played and beaten the Champion’s Ballad DLC in Breath of the Wild, you might find something small but special in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
Story spoilers ahead for both Breath of the Wild’s DLC and Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
When DLC was announced for Breath of the Wild, a lot of fans were excited by how the world and story might get expanded. But some were left a little disappointed that it mostly just fleshed out the Champion’s backstory, something I personally loved as it helped inform the kind of people they were. However, one of the nicest touches came from once you beat the DLC, as the final cutscene shows a scene of the Champions all taking a photo together. You’d then find this photo hung up in Link’s house in Hateno, a really nice touch to mark you’ve finished it – and it turns out that if you’ve beaten the DLC, Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom knows, and will show the same photo in that exact house.

I used to let my lower belly pouch dictate my life – it’s the dumbest thing I’ve done, it’s just my body and that’s OK
A WOMAN has shared a valuable life lesson that she’s imparted to her followers.
The body-positive content creator said that she no longer lets worries about her lower belly dictate her life.
Abbie, a body positive influencer, shared how she let her lower belly ‘dictate’ her life[/caption]
Abbie (@_abbiekae) shared her experience in a video with over 80,000 TikTok followers.
“I would argue that the absolute dumbest thing I have ever done in my life was let my lower belly pouch dictate so many decisions I have made throughout my life,” she said.
“Things that I did and I wouldn’t do and try and not try… years of my life where my belly was the forefront of my brain.
“What’s it look like? What’s it gonna do if I do this? What’s it gonna hide best in?”
The content creator explained that she’s since grown from the experience and learned to let go.
“Now I have not lost any weight and now I look at my belly and it’s just like… it’s not that big of a deal man, it’s just my body, it just looks like this and it always has, and it’s okay,” she said.
“It’s just kind of liberating to wear things or buy things or try things or eat things when you’re sitting down and not be so worried about your belly poking out a little bit because that’s what it’s supposed to do,” she said.
People took to the comments to share their thoughts.
“It has literally dictated my happiness for over a decade, it’s exhausting,” said one commenter.
“Thank you, I’m gonna need to listen to this on repeat,” said another.
“This is something I’ve struggled with my whole life, thank you for this perspective shift so much, I def needed this reminder,” said a third.
“Very much needed to hear this today,” said a fourth.
I have hip dips and they’re nothing to hide – trolls accuse me of wearing too-tight underwear but that’s just my body
A WOMAN has addressed accusations that she purposely wears “too tight” underwear.
She says she just has hip dips and she’s proud of her body.
Grace Tutty (@gracetutty) shared her response in a video with over 290,000 TikTok followers.
One commenter accused her of purposely wearing tight underwear to create hip dips.
“Ur underwear is too tight and making the dips in ur side,” they said.
The brunette, in a crop top and yoga pants, addressed the accusation: “I thought I’d show you an x-ray of my body,” she said.
She pulled up the black and white x-ray to back up her point.
“Down here, you can see that is just how hips go,” she said.
“That is how everyone has hip dips because that’s just the structure, at least with my body.
“Hips dips are normal and nothing to hide, wearing different underwear would not change the shape of my bones,” she said, adding the hashtags #hipdipsarenormal and #bodypositivity.
People took to the comments to show their support.
“The fact that u had to show an actual xray… you have sm patience,” said one commenter.
“The most official receipts,” joked another.
“Literally say it louder for the ppl in the back, normalize hip dips they’re so cute and normal,” said a third.
