‘Florida Joker’ Says He’s Not Suing Rockstar Over GTA 6 Anymore, but Does Want to Be Paid to Voice the Character
If he’s done with Deus Ex, Cyberpunk fans want Adam Jensen’s voice actor to play a key role in Project Orion
Following the cancellation of a few recent projects, including a Deus Ex game that was in development at Eidos Montreal, Adam Jensen’s voice actor – Elias Toufexis – has bid what looks to be a potential farewell to the character. The good news is that Cyberpunk 2077 fans have already started submitting their calls for him to take on a similar role in Project Orion.
Yup, there’s no such thing as letting a poor guy grieve about the fact he might not get to play a character he likes anymore, work on Cyberpunk’s sequel has kicked off, and folks on Reddit think it needs another gruff cyber-mercenary. To be fair, who are we to argue?
Toufexis, who’s long provided the gravelly tones of Adam Jensen, posted on the Deus Ex subreddit the other day to thank the game’s community for supporting him and the character over the years. “As you guys all know, Jensen is one of the characters I’ve played who is near and dear to my heart,” the actor wrote in the post, “It seems I will always be associated with him and that’s just fine with me.”

iOS 17 Will Let You Create a Voice Sounding Like You in Just 15 Minutes
Those with an iPhone, iPad, or newer Mac will be able to create a Personal Voice by reading a randomized set of text prompts aloud until 15 minutes of audio has been recorded on the device. Apple said the feature will be available in English only at launch, and uses on-device machine learning to ensure privacy and security.
Personal Voice will be integrated with another new accessibility feature called Live Speech, which will let iPhone, iPad, and Mac users type what they want to say to have it be spoken out loud during phone calls, FaceTime calls, and in-person conversations.
Apple said Personal Voice is designed for users at risk of losing their ability to speak, such as those with a recent diagnosis of ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) or other conditions that can progressively impact speaking ability. Like other accessibility features, however, Personal Voice will be available to all users. The feature will likely be added to the iPhone with iOS 17, which should be unveiled next month and released in September.
“At the end of the day, the most important thing is being able to communicate with friends and family,” said Philip Green, who was diagnosed with ALS in 2018 and is a member of the ALS advocacy organization Team Gleason. “If you can tell them you love them, in a voice that sounds like you, it makes all the difference in the world — and being able to create your synthetic voice on your iPhone in just 15 minutes is extraordinary.”

Zelda’s voice actor didn’t know she was auditioning for the titular character
It turns out that the voice actor behind Zelda in both Breath of the Wild and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom didn’t even know she was auditioning for the character.
To say Nintendo is secretive is like saying you need air to breathe: the two come hand in hand. Obviously that’s especially been the case with Tears of the Kingdom, a game that only really had proper trailers this year, just a few months before it came out. So it shouldn’t be all that surprising to hear that Zelda’s voice actor herself, Patricia Summersett, was not told that the character she was auditioning for was in fact the princess of Hyrule.
In an interview with IGN, Summersett spoke about her role as Zelda, and how she ended up with it in the first place. Unsurprisingly, she wasn’t told all that much about it prior to her audition. “It just looked like an RPG fantasy,” Summersett shared. “I didn’t have any other information than that it was for a princess character who had a lot of weight on her shoulders.”
