Elden Ring Finally Gets Some Cool Toys of Melina, Raging Wolf and Vyke
Bandai Namco sent us some of the first Elden Ring action figures, the S.H. Figuarts Festering Fingerprint Vyke and super-deformed Figuarts Minis of Melina and Raging Wolf. Vyke will run you around $75, while the Minis are both $30. A variety of toy and collectible sites have had them up for pre-order for a while, and will likely start shipping soon.
Vyke, who appears as an NPC invader in-game and whose armor is being worn by the Tarnished on Elden Ring’s box art, includes his war spear, a fire effect to recreate the frenzyflame thrust attack, and four interchangeable pairs of hands (one pair of first, one pair open, and two pairs for holding the spear at different angles.) Data-miners have dug up unused assets that suggest Vyke originally had a much larger role in Elden Ring’s story, but currently, the game’s cover model and first official action figure feature a random dude who jumps you outside an abandoned church.
Melina and Raging Wolf each include one interchangeable arm – Melina’s is outstretched, Wolf’s is holding a sword. Though the Minis are articulated, the proportions and sculpted clothing make posing pretty limited. They unclude small stands though, which are necessary for displaying purposes on account of the toys’ enormous heads.
Weirdly, these are the first FromSoft characters to get the Figuarts treatment, despite it being a Bandai Namco toy line. There are a variety of Dark Souls collectibles from other manufacturers, and Bloodborne, Sekiro and Demon’s Souls have all gotten Figma action figures. Figma and Nendoroid both have some Elden Ring figures in the works, but hopefully we see more from S.H. Figuarts as well.
Some of us, however, couldn’t wait a whole year for Elden Ring toys, and decided to take matters into our own hands before the game was even out:
TellTale’s The Wolf Among Us 2 delayed out of 2023 to avoid crunch
I was a big fan of classic TellTale, the studio that put out episodic adventure games on a conveyor belt. I’m not the new one in sheep’s clothing, because they haven’t released anything yet. Like many, I was especially drawn to The Wolf Among Us, a neo-noir murder mystery set in the same universe as the Fables graphic novels. It would have been quite poetic to return to the series ten years after its debut, but that’s not going to be paw-sibble, as new TellTale have announced that The Wolf Among Us 2 has been delayed out of 2023. There’s no new release window, but maybe it’ll be ready in 2024. Hopefully.
‘The Wolf Among Us 2’ is being pushed back to 2024
You’ll have to wait a bit longer to see Bigby Wolf’s next chapter. Telltale Games has announced that it’s delaying The Wolf Among Us 2, the sequel to its 2013 Fables comic adaptation, until next year. The company said it’s “committed to protecting the health of our team” in a statement on Twitter, a clear sign that it’s trying to avoid the burnout that reportedly plagued the previous iteration of Telltale.
We’ve made the difficult decision to delay The Wolf Among Us 2 #TWAU2.

In an interview with IGN, Jamie Ottilie, the new Telltale CEO, also says the team needs time to switch over from Unreal Engine 4 to 5. That’ll involve redoing much of the company’s existing work, and together with hiring and production difficulties, it would make it tough to hit a 2023 release date. “Making games is difficult and they need time to be right,” he told IGN. “And it doesn’t do any of us any good to ship something that’s not ready.”
The Wolf Among Us 2 was originally announced in December of 2019, and for obvious pandemic-related reasons, development has been slower than Telltale originally predicted. The company still has its adaptation of The Expanse coming later this year, and in many ways that’s a more important title for its future. As much as we’re eager to see the continuation of The Wolf Among Us, Telltale also needs to build out new properties to survive.

The Wolf Among Us 2 delayed out of 2023 as development switches to Unreal 5
Telltale Games have announced it has delayed The Wolf Among Us 2 out of 2023, and has not provided a new release date.
According to an official tweet from the studio, the game is going to require more time, and it is committed to “delivering the sequel fans deserve, and doing what’s right for the game while protecting the health of our team.
Speaking further with IGN, Telltale Games CEO Jamie Ottilie explained the delay is for a number reasons, such as the switch to Unreal 5, but mainly to avoid crunch and shipping a bad product.
