Microsoft is removing more than 45 older Xbox games and their related DLC from the Xbox Store on Xbox 360 in early February, the company has announced. The games will still be available on newer Xbox consoles for both purchase and download.
The removals will begin on February 7, 2023, Microsoft said in an Xbox Support page spotted by Wario64 on Twitter. The page also confirms that any game removed will be able to be re-downloaded from the Download History page.
Some of the titles set for removal include Assassin’s Creed IV, Call of Duty: Ghosts, Castle Crashers, Dark Souls, Skate 2, and The Witcher 2. These are all on the older side, of course, but some play on newer Xbox consoles via backwards compatibility.
