DEAR DEIDRE: AFTER being together for 23 years, my partner has decided she is no longer in love with me.
I am 43 and my partner is 41.
We’ve had our ups and downs, but last week she said she still loved me but wasn’t “in love” any more.
She has been working away for several months, only coming home at weekends and it has given her time to think about us.
Now she is thinking about whether or not she can find the spark between us again
What should I do?
I can’t imagine my life without her.
But at the same time I cannot continue to walk on eggshells or wait indefinitely for her to make up her mind
I feel so low since she told me she’s not in love with me any more.
MORE FROM DEAR DEIDRE
DEIDRE SAYS: I know you feel blindsided by this revelation but tell her you love her and want to give your relationship a chance.
Look at your working patterns as her working away has clearly placed a strain on your relationship.
It’s vital to make a real effort to carve out quality time together at least a couple of times a week.
My Relationship MOT support pack should hopefully help you get the conversation started.
