Watch Muhammad Ali’s grandson Biaggio score KO to improve MMA record as PFL star vows to create his own legacy in cage
MUHAMMAD ALI’S grandson Biaggio added another first-round knockout to improve his MMA record.
The lightweight prospect is still an amateur but is signed to The Professional Fighters League, MMA’s only seasonal format.
Muhammad Ali’s grandson Biaggio knocks out Isaiah Figueroa[/caption]
Biaggio returned to the cage in Las Vegas for his fourth bout, facing Isaiah Figueroa in front of a raucous home crowd.
And the 24-year-old lived up to the hype as he closed the show inside four minutes of the opening round.
The American landed a string of right hands, forcing Figueroa to retreat and cover up with his back against the cage.
But after a barrage of punches came in, the referee was left with no choice but to step in, improving Biaggio’s record to 3-1.
The ever-improving prospect continues to live up to his iconic grandfather’s name – but is out to be remembered on his own merit.
He said: “Every single fighter in the world wants to make their own name, their own legacy.
“I’m doing the exact same thing I’m just like any fighter I just have a famous grandfather that’s the only difference.
“With that, I get a little bit more pressure, a little bit more attention as well but what happens in the cage is what really matters.”
Biaggio last year signed with the PFL, which consists of qualifying and knockout stages, with two regular season bouts and play-offs.
Points are earned per method of victory in the opening two fights with the top four in each weight progressing into the semi-finals.
From there, it is victory-or-go-home culminating in a winner-take-all finale fight where a title belt and $1million cheque lays in wait.
But Biaggio – not yet pro – features as a special attraction on PFL undercards as he looks to learn his craft with the eyes of the world watching.

People say teachers ‘shouldn’t post pictures like that’ on social media when they see my bikini photos but I don’t care
A TEACHER who enthusiastically documents her adventures on her socials hasn’t let her career path dictate her social media personality.
Instead, she freely posts photos of her sporting bikinis and other stylish pieces on her Instagram account.
Bri Jackson (@missjackson_in3rd) is a 25-year-old third-grade teacher who is based in Ohio.
She loves being a teacher and is happy to have fulfilled her lifelong dream of teaching elementary school.
In addition to teaching, she has “a passion for fashion, traveling, and living a healthy lifestyle.”
She posts a lot about traveling and how she “[tries] to live a healthy, balanced life.”
Taking to her TikTok account where she has accumulated more than 50,000 followers, she shared a comment she hears about the type of pictures she uploads to social media.
“Teachers shouldn’t post pictures like that on their socials,” the blonde beauty wrote in a TikTok video.
She shrugged suggesting that it wasn’t a big deal to her, before showing a series of aesthetically pleasing photos of her similar to ones that can be found on her Instagram page.
She wore an assortment of trendy bright swimsuits including a bold patterned one-piece, a bandeau top bikini that bared her stomach, as well as fashionable going-out outfits.
Responding to the critique of her photos, she wrote: “Hey… I like fashion,” in her video’s caption.
People flooded the comments section with support for her decisions.
“One hundred percent. As teachers, we need to stop catering to society’s expectations of what we ‘should’ do,” a fellow educator wrote.
“Queen,” added a second.
“Heck yes,” said a third.
“Queen sh*t. I want to make my Insta public so bad but I teach high school.”
“Normalize that teachers are humans.”
A final person expressed their views with a clapping emoji followed by a heart.

She shares tons of videos about style and fitness[/caption]
In a recent post, the bombshell blonde opened up about what dating is like at her age.
In the video clip, she could be seen making sassy turns in a stunning gown that fit her curvy figure beautifully while she made a drink.
Lila looked back at the camera with a knowing smile as a sound played that appeared to be from a standup set.
The audio snippet joked about people who say that cougars are desperate to date younger men.
Instead, the woman in the audio said that being a cougar means you’re an older woman who young guys want to ask out.
During the hilarious punchline, Lila took a sip of her drink and flipped her hair with a confidence that immediately made her age just a number.
Lila’s fans were obsessed with the post and said they couldn’t agree more with the standup bit.
“That’s so true,” one excited commenter said with emojis of a man running.

It comes as another cougar has explained why people should “free the tatas.”
And trolls told this lady in a bikini that she was too old, but she had a sassy message for them.
Hundreds of bikers gather outside Windsor Castle to ride in memory of Queen Elizabeth II
HUNDREDS of bikers gathered outside Windsor Castle yesterday in a “Ride of Respect” in memory of Queen Elizabeth II.
The Rolling Thunder UK group laid a wreath at Cambridge Gate before setting off down The Long Walk, with special permission from the Crown Estate.

Carrying Union Flags, the bikers then drove on to London to pay their respects on The Mall, outside Buckingham Palace, and in Westminster.
The Queen died in September last year and she is buried with her husband Philip in the King George VI Memorial Chapel inside St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.
Rolling Thunder UK consists of HM Forces veterans and civilian supporters.
Meanwhile, King Charles is preparing to host his first Easter since The Queen’s passing.
The King and Queen Camilla have spent Easter at their Scottish residence, Birkhall, in the past, but it is expected that they will host the royals in Windsor this year.
Speaking to The Sun, royal expert Ingrid Seward revealed that the weekend will be a joyous occasion for the family ahead of the King’s Coronation on May 6, at Westminster Abbey.
And it will be a big day for his grandson and heir to the throne, Prince George, who will be one of the King’s four Pages of Honour at the Coronation.
She said: “As Easter is early this year it is also the second anniversary of Prince Philip’s death on Easter Sunday and the Queen Mum died on Good Friday of Easter 2002 – 21 years ago. I think the mood will be happy as they were all very old but reflective.”
The royal expert expects there to be a private prayer said in the private chapel for Queen Elizabeth – with family and the immediate household attending.
King Charles invites children, Covid heroes and charity workers to his Coronation
KING Charles has surprised hundreds of children, Covid heroes and charity workers with an invite to the coronation – including the Boy in the Tent.
Max Woosey, 13, who raised more than £750,000 by spending over three years under canvas will join 850 non-dignitaries to witness the historic event – filling up more than half the congregation.

Other guests include a cancer survivor who made hundreds of hampers for the elderly, distillery owner who moved from alcohol to hand sanitiser and volunteer bike couriers who delivered PPE and medicine
The guest list has been cut down from 7,000 who filled Westminster Abbey for Queen Elizabeth II in 1953 – to around 2,500.
Only two dozen MPs are expected to receive invites to the historical moment on May 6.
But Buckingham Palace today reveals invites have been sent to 450 British Empire Medal winners – volunteers and charity workers – who will sit inside the Abbey.
A further 400 who will get their hands on the invites – which were revealed for the first time on Wednesday – will be children and young who will watch the service and Coronation from inside St Margaret’s Church nextdoor.
The British Empire Medal winners include Max who raised more than £700,000 for North Devon hospice after starting his marathon camp out during Covid-19.
Max, of Braunton, Devon, said: “It’s incredible to be allowed to get the invite. It’s an incredible feeling. I can’t wait. I’m looking forward to going to the historic event.
“It’s incredible that 2,000 people are allowed to go and I’m one of them.
“I’m hoping it’s more of a party coronation.”
Chef Manju Malhi, 55, of London, who offered remote cookery classes during Covid, said by plucking guests for their everyday heroics it will be the “People’s Coronation”.
She said: “It’s so unexpected. It’s such a historic day. I was just shocked, but pleasantly surprised really. I can’t wait to soak up the atmosphere.
“I’m expecting it to have a pomp and ceremony, that kind of gravitas and weight of history.
“It will be that moment of ‘I was there’. It’s something I’ll tell friends and family about decades later: ‘I was there.’
“It feels really open and transparent. It encompasses people. It is the People’s Coronation. It’s about us really. Of course it’s about the King, but it’s also about us as a people.”
Cancer survivor, Sahil Usman, 17, of Blackburn, rewarded for his fundraising, said: “It’s a really big achievement to get this at such a young age.”
A source said: “The Coronation is an event for the whole country and not only the King and Queen.”
The names of guests attending the Coronation have been kept under wraps with Harry and Meghan not even revealing yet whether they will take their seats in the Abbey.
US President Joe Biden told the King on the phone last week he could not attend and would instead send First Lady Jill Biden.
Polish President Andrzej Duda and French leader Emmanuel Macron have confirmed they will witness the dual crowning on May 6.
Last week, the palace also confirmed Prince George, 9, will be a Page of Honour, alongside seven other youngsters including three of Queen Camilla’s grandchildren.
The palace revealed 400 children – representing charities backed by the Royal Family – will watch the service during a private viewing from St Margaret’s Church, next to the Abbey.
It is the first time the church has been used to hold children during a Coronation.
Two hundred, from The Prince’s Trust, The Prince’s Foundation, Barnardo’s, The National Literacy Trust and Ebony Horse Club, were chosen by the King and Queen.
The remaining 200 were nominated by the government from the Scout Association, Girlguiding UK, St John Ambulance and the National Citizen Service.
All four organisations are providing stewarding, route lining and first aid services on Coronation Day across London.
Other chosen heroes include Katrina Moffat, 45, of North Tyneside, a leader of Girlguiding UK, said: “I didn’t believe it at first. I thought someone was scamming me. You don’t expect these things.
“I definitely think this reign is going to be much more about the community, which the coronation reflects.”
Franstine Jones, 60, a volunteer and trustee of National Black Police Association, for services to Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic communities in Suffolk, said: “I’m so honoured.”
Rhys Andrew Mallows, 27, of Cowbridge, Wales, was rewarded for producing more than one million bottles of hand sanitiser from his distillery during Covid-19 pandemic.
Husband and wife Anthony, 56, and Vicki Van Someren, 48, of Shoreditch, East London, formed a network of cycle volunteers to courier PPE, food and medicine.
John Anderson, 72, of the Grampians, Scotland, for services to the community in Fraserburgh during the Covid-19 response, said: “I wasn’t expecting it. It’s a thing for film stars, lords and that kind. I think it’s very good that the common man is invited.”
Charity hero Dawn Wood, 46, a police officer from Essex who became the second fastest woman to row across the Atlantic Ocean, to raise awareness of plastic pollution, has also been invited.
Labour sank into the gutter with their accusation that Rishi Sunak doesn’t care if paedophiles are locked up
Labour shame
SHORT of any concrete ideas of their own on how to solve Britain’s crime problems, Labour sank into the gutter.
A bitter personal attack on Rishi Sunak in a social media advert that directly accused the Prime Minister of not caring if paedophiles are locked up.
Labour’s attack on Rishi Sunak backfired so spectacularly on Sir Keir Starmer[/caption]
Labour sank into the gutter with their accusation that Rishi Sunak doesn’t care if paedophiles are locked up[/caption]
It might have been just about palatable had there been any truth in it.
But, hilariously, it turned out sentencing guidelines were drawn up in 2013 by a body of which Sir Keir Starmer was a member.
As then Director of Public Prosecutions you would have thought he’d have known this already. It’s an extraordinary miscalculation from Labour.
Politics is supposed to be a tough business. The Sun will always give the PM both barrels if he lets down our readers.
But Labour’s dumb attack went way beyond that.
That it backfired so spectacularly on the party’s leader is at least some consolation.
Joe’s disaster
IT is astonishing to see Joe Biden lay the blame for the catastrophic withdrawal of US forces from Afghanistan on Donald Trump.
Certainly, it was Trump’s deal with the Taliban that he inherited.
But it was Biden’s haste to get out quickly that led to unnecessary deaths.
It was his decision to pull out without any proper preparation or notice.
It left Britain high and dry and Our Boys still on the ground at the mercy of the insurgents.
And women are now living in fear and girls denied education among the wreckage left behind.
It proved a disastrous foreign policy idea and is a stain on his presidency.
Biden could have done things differently. He was in charge. The buck stops with him.
He should own his deadly mistake.
Jog on, Nike
JUST when women like Sharron Davies were celebrating a ban on trans athletes, along comes sportswear giant Nike with a slap in the face.
Desperate to chase every kind of woke dollar, they have launched an ad for a female sports bra using a trans influencer.
All women, of course, can make up their own minds.
And, perhaps, Just Don’t Do It.
King of people
KING Charles III is going to rule as a man if not of, then at least for, the people.
It is truly heartening to see hundreds of children, pandemic heroes and charity workers get a prized invite to the Coronation. Each one is surely worth their place in Westminster Abbey.
We can think of no greater honour.
Major health breakthrough as scientists cure mice of breast cancer in two weeks
A TINY implanted battery has cured mice of breast cancer in two weeks, sparking hopes for human sufferers.
The device works by creating a tiny current in salt water injected into surrounding tumour tissue which soaks up oxygen.
Major health breakthrough as scientists cure mice of breast cancer in just two weeks[/caption]
Research scientists said the battery is self-charging and last up to 500 hours.
The device starves cancer cells of oxygen — a condition called hypoxia.
The technique also boosts the effectiveness of special drugs injected to target areas of hypoxic cells.
Lead author Professor Fan Zhang, of Fudan University in Shanghai, China, said: “After 14 days, the tumours in the five mice that received both the working battery and drug treatment had decreased by an average of 90 per cent — with four of these mice experiencing tumour disappearance.
“Tumours in the other test mice which did not have the combination of battery implant and drugs either remained the same size or increased.”
The drugs used are known as HAPs — hypoxia-activated prodrugs.
They are not currently approved for clinical use due to limited evidence of their effectiveness.
But Professor Zhang explained: “Tumours typically deplete the oxygen in the surrounding non-cancerous tissues as they grow, resulting in the cells becoming oxygen-free, or hypoxic.
“Hypoxia-activated prodrugs aim to take advantage of this feature by only targeting hypoxic cells — minimising damage to healthy cells and reducing side effects.
“The battery can cover the tumour and persistently consume the oxygen within it for more than 14 days.”
But Professor Randall Johnson, of Cambridge University, warned inducing hypoxia in a tumour can increase risk of cancer spread.
He added: “While this didn’t appear to occur in these mice, the costs and benefits of the battery’s use in people needs to be assessed before human treatment.”
Breast cancer kills 11,500 people in the UK on average every year.
