“These shades can really bring your walls inward.
“This can create an enclosed feel, and makes kitchens feel claustrophobic.”
The pro suggested that people make use of the natural light that their kitchen already has when decorating to help give the illusion of more space.
“It’ll give your kitchen that sparkly, polished look,” he quipped.

If you want a darker look go for a pure-black rather than a dark grey and make sure there’s plenty of light to contrast, Ryan explained.
Of course, if you’re decorating with the aim of selling the rules are slightly different and you stick to bright neutral colours like white and begie.
Ryan added: “Soft muted blue and green shades also work well to give the home a welcoming vibe.”
Ultimately, they might be better options for bedrooms or bathroom because of the relaxing vibe they create.
If you want to liven up your kitchen oranges and yellows can be a great choice because of the exciting energy they can bring to a space.
