I can reveal broadcaster Dave may come to the rescue with an offer to buy the comedy favourite from the Beeb.
Its creators, Angst Productions, have already opened talks for a new deal on the panel show, which is hosted by Dara O Briain.
Mock The Week first aired in 2005 with Dara at the helm and has notched up more than 200 episodes.
It featured regular appearances by Hugh Dennis plus other stand-ups.

Dara said: “That’s it folks, the UK has finally run out of news.”
Dave snapping this one up would be a shrewd move – and if it doesn’t I’m sure another channel will.
Not least because the show already has a ready-made audience who will almost certainly follow it wherever it goes.
