‘Endless Dungeon’ release has been pushed back to October 19th
Looking forward to playing Endless Dungeon next month? Unfortunately, you’ll have to wait half a year longer to play the roguelite twin-stick shooter, because Amplitude Studios and Sega have pushed back its release date to October 19th. It was previously slated for a 2022 debut, but the developer ultimately announced a May 18th, 2023 launch date for the PC (Steam and Epic), Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. In a post announcing their decision, the team said they believe it’s important to spend extra time working on the game after all the feedback they received across all their OpenDev sessions. They also promised to announce a release date for the Nintendo Switch at a later date.
In addition to fixing the bugs and issues the testers had unearthed, the developers are planning to use the extra time to improve some of the game’s key elements. They’re working to make player progression feel less random and more organic, and they’re tweaking the economy so that all three resources — namely, science, food and industry — feel important to the game. “The scarcity of resources is important so that your decision of what to invest in feels impactful,” they explained. They’re also incorporating smaller changes, such as differentiating the districts from each other more and improving certain aspects of the game’s multiplayer mode.
If you decide to wait instead of canceling your pre-order, you can get three additional free skins for Comrade, Fassie and Shroom. They’ll also be available at no additional cost for early buyers upon the game’s release for a limited time. Take note that since the Endless Dungeon‘s release has been delayed, its planned Closed Beta, which you’ll be able to access if you purchase the Last Wish Edition, will also be pushed back to September.

Konami will reveal what’s next for the Silent Hill series on October 19th
Almost a decade to the day since it released the last Silent Hill game (as long as you don’t include P.T.), Konami is finally ready to reveal what’s next for the franchise. The company will divulge the “latest updates” for the series during a stream that starts at 5PM ET on October 19th.
The publisher announced the showcase in a tweet that includes a link to a placeholder Silent Hill website. Presumably, you’ll be able to watch the stream there.
In your restless dreams, do you see that town?

It seems there’s at least one new game in the pipeline. Composer Akira Yamaoka and Masahiro Ito, the art director on the first three games, shared news of the upcoming stream, as Video Game Chronicle notes. Both have previously hinted that they’re working on a new Silent Hill title. Yamaoka also handled the score for Bloober Team’s The Medium — according to reports, that studio is working on a remake of Silent Hill 2 after teaming up with Konami last year.
Other Silent Hill projects said to be in the works include an episodic, narrative-driven series and a playable teaser in the vein of P.T. for a new mainline game. P.T. was an interactive teaser for Silent Hills, a planned full game from Hideo Kojima and Guillermo del Toro. However, Konami canceled Silent Hills in 2015 and Kojima left the publisher in contentious fashion. The Silent Hill series has been dormant ever since, other than crossovers such as Pyramid Head showing up in Dead by Daylight.
Meanwhile, a third Silent Hill movie may be on the horizon. Christophe Gans, who directed and co-wrote the first film in 2006, said this year that he’d completed a script for another movie. Gans also hinted this month that Konami was working on several Silent Hill games. It seems likely that we’ll find out more about those very soon. Here’s hoping Konami brings back P.T. as well.

It looks like the ‘Uncharted 4’ and ‘Lost Legacy’ bundle is coming to PC on October 19th
It seems that nine long months after a remastered bundle of Naughty Dog’s Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Uncharted: Lost Legacy debuted on PlayStation 5, PC gamers will be able to find out what all the fuss is about. According to a listing on the Epic Games Store spotted by Twitter gaming deals maestro Wario64, Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection will hit that storefront on October 19th. It appears Epic published the information ahead of schedule, as the game’s page currently displays a 404 error. The leak backs up a previous hint from SteamDB that October 19th was the release date.
Legacy of Thieves Collection is supposed to be coming to Steam before the end of the year as well, but it appears that if you pre-order through Epic, you’ll gain access to a Sully’s Seaplane glider in Fortnite at no extra cost. Nathan Drake and Chloe Frazer skins arrived in that game earlier this year to promote the Uncharted movie.
The apparent timing of the Legacy of Thieves Collection PC release is interesting, since Sony said Spider-Man: Miles Morales is coming to that platform sometime this fall. One would think they’d try to space things out a bit. In any case, perhaps Sony will soon host a PlayStation showcase that clears everything up.
