Nvidia Launches GeForce NOW ‘Ultimate’ Tier With RTX 4080 GPU for Cloud Gaming at 240 Frames Per Second
The Ultimate tier is priced at $20 per month (or $100 for six months), the same price as the prior plan that allowed gamers to access the GeForce RTX 3080. Full ray tracing and DLSS 3 frame multiplying technology will be available, and Nvidia is introducing Reflex support for reduced latency for those who have a G Sync display. With Nvidia Reflex, GeForce NOW can provide click-to-pixel latency below 40 milliseconds.
Nvidia says that the GeForce NOW RTX 4080 SuperPODs will provide more than 64 teraflops of graphics horsepower to an individual user, which is 5x more than the Xbox Series X. Nvidia is introducing support for ultrawide resolutions, allowing 4K display owners to play games at up to 120 frames per second. GeForce Now users who subscribed to the RTX 3080 tier will be migrated to the Ultimate tier automatically in the first quarter of 2023.
The GeForce RTX 4080 is one of the most powerful GPUs available for purchase, but the $1,200 price makes it inaccessible for many. The GeForce NOW streaming service will allow those who are willing to pay the monthly access fee to play games using servers equipped with the GPU. GeForce NOW includes more than 1,500 game titles, and it is available on Apple’s Macs.

Xbox Series S Holiday Edition Drops To $240 At Amazon
Ahead of Black Friday, The Xbox Series S “Holiday” Console is now available for $240 at Amazon. With the gift-giving season around the corner, the Xbox Series S will likely be a popular pick this year, especially at this limited-time price (it’s $250 at most retailers). We wouldn’t be surprised to see the console sell out in the coming weeks, so if you want to put the Xbox Series S under the tree, it’s a good idea to buy it as soon as possible.
Xbox Series S Holiday Edition
$240 (was $300) at Amazon
The only difference between this holiday-themed Xbox Series S and the one that’s available all the time is the packaging. You’re still getting the console, a wireless controller, two AA batteries for said controller, plus an HDMI cable and the standard power cord–everything you need to set up and play.
There are no pack-in games or promotional Game Pass or Xbox Live subscriptions included, so you either need to pay for those separately or link your existing Xbox account to access your digital game library and online services.
For shoppers who don’t know the difference between Microsoft’s latest consoles: the Xbox Series S is a smaller, digital-only model of the Xbox Series X. The Series S can play all the same games as the Series X and supports many of the same next-gen features like Quick Resume, Raytracing, 120FPS gameplay, and Smart Delivery. The main differences are that the Xbox Series S doesn’t have a disc drive and can only play digital copies of games downloaded from the Microsoft Store app, and it only plays games in 1440p QHD rather than native 4K–though the device can upscale to 4K if you play and a UHD TV. The Series S also has a smaller 512GB internal SSD for storage compared to the Series X’s 1TB SSD, but you can purchase expandable storage. Check out GameSpot’s full Xbox Series S review and Xbox Series S versus Xbox Series X breakdown for more information.
This holiday-themed Xbox Series S bundle is just one of many gaming deals available right now, so be sure to check GameSpot’s Black Friday and Cyber Monday coverage for all the best sales and discounts, including our roundup of the best Black Friday Xbox deals.

Grab An Xbox Series S For Only $240
The Xbox Series S is already a pretty great bargain, letting you join in on the new-gen fun without dropping $500. But right now there’s a promotion that makes it an even more enticing option, as you can pick up the Xbox Series S Fortnite + Rocket League Bundle for just $240, down from its usual price of $300.
Xbox Series S Fortnite + Rocket League Bundle
$240 (was $300)
There’s one caveat to the discount–but nothing that should be a real dealbreaker. This product is an open box item, meaning you won’t be able to verify the codes for your 1,000 V-Bucks and 1,000 Rocket League Credits are unused. But since you’re still getting an Xbox Series S console for $60 under asking price (and one that’s in new condition with no wear), the uncertainty of codes is a minor tradeoff. The deal is also being offered on eBay by Microsoft Authorized seller, Antonline, so you know you’re getting a product you can trust.
As usual, eBay offers a money-back guarantee if the Xbox Series S doesn’t live up to your expectations. Free shipping is also included with your purchase. Depending on your location, your delivery could show up as early as October 4.
Antonline doesn’t list an end date for the deal, but with nearly two dozen people watching the listing, you might want to check out the savings before inventory is gone. And if you’re looking for a few digital games to play on your new console, be sure to check out this massive game sale on the Xbox Store.
