Watch jacked Jake Gyllenhaal brutally KO opponent while filming Roadhouse at UFC 285 as Conor McGregor attends
JAKE GYLLENHAAL took part in filming for his upcoming film Roadhouse smack bang in the middle of UFC 285.
The Hollywood superstar filmed a weigh-in scene for the movie shortly after Friday’s official weigh-ins for Jon Jones and Ciryl Gane’s heavyweight showdown.

And a break during the prelim portion of the card served as the perfect time for the Hollywood cameras to use the octagon and film a fight scene.
Gyllenhaal took part in a full and authentic UFC walkout and was greeted by rapturous applause as he pretended to make his way to the octagon to fight for the middleweight title.
Gyllenhaal, 42, came out to ‘Enter the Sandman’, which got the fans going.
The champion – former UFC star Jay Hieron – came out to a slew of boos as ‘Many Men by 50 Ceny blared out.
It wasn’t long before Bruce Buffer was announcing the pair’s middleweight showdown, which was, surprisingly, well received.
Gyllenhaal, who plays Dalton in the remake of the classic film – in which he’s an ex-UFC fighter who ends up working as a bouncer in the Florida Keys – got off to a terrible start.
After avoiding some jabs early doors, he ate several blows against the octagon fence before landing thunderous hooks to the body to turn things around.
The champ was badly wobbled and ended up being dropped by a vicious knee.

Gyllenhaal – who will star in the film along with Conor McGregor – rained down blow after blow and the referee tried to pull him off.
A fired-up Gyllenhaal didn’t heed the refs’ intervention and continued to punish the fallen champ before being dragged off.
But he managed to land a final and unanswered blow – much to the shock of the crowd.
UFC fans were quick to comment on the scene, with one saying: “Dalton with the knee!”
Another said: “Nice to see him pull an Anderson Silva against the cage… though Anderson didn’t hit.
“Also DQ and Suspension pending.”
And another said: “Jake Gyllenhall finished Jay Hieron quicker than GSP and Woodley did.”
One remarked: “This is so fire.”
Another chimed in: “Well that’s a DQ.”
Roadhouse is set to be released later this year, although a date has not yet been announced.

Fellow Irishman McGregor was one of the interested observers of Garry’s latest UFC outing and was over the moon by his performance.
He tweeted: “Ian Garry you little daisy.”
UFC fans were equally as thrilled by Garry’s performance, with one tweeting: “That’s how you come back I respect it.”
Another said: “Very clean striking, go on Ian.”
And another said: “That was some cleannn striking.”
One remarked: “What a finish.”
Garry really turned up the heat in the second round with crisp and malicious striking.
But it was the third in which he really damaged Song, rocking him up against the fence and making no mistake when he dropped to the canvas.

The pair took part in a heated face-off in front of a raucous crowd.
But the fans in attendance went even wilder when UFC commentator Joe Rogan said: “I’m going to hand the mic over to Conor McGregor.”
Fans who were about to leave the arena turned around as a jacked McGregor took to the stage and hugged Jones before shouting: “Las Vegas!”
McGregor said to Jones: “Go on the boy.”
Former pound-for-pound king Jones replied: “What’s up, Conor. Good to see you, baby.”
The MMA-mad fans went doolally as the legends embraced.
And they soon learned they’d be part of McGregor’s upcoming film with Hollywood superstar Jake Gyllenhaal as the actor would film a weigh-in scene for Roadhouse shortly after.
McGregor said: “Who’s ready for tomorrow night?

“We’ve got the biggest fight in Roadhouse history, Harris versus Dalton UFC 222.
“Everyone in this arena, you’re about to be part of my movie that’s coming out with myself and Jake Gyllenhaal.
“A Joe Silver production, make sure to cheer for the weigh-ins and let’s go Las Vegas.”
A jacked Gyllenhaal made the walk to the scales shortly afterwards and showed off his incredible physique before facing off with former UFC fighter Jay Hieron – his opponent in the movie.
McGregor, 34, is currently in Las Vegas filming season 31 of The Ultimate Fighter along with future opponent Michael Chandler.
A date for their clash has yet to be finalised as McGregor has not yet to rejoin the USADA testing pool, which he has to be in for a minimum of six months before competing.
UFC 285: Watch Jon Jones and Ciryl Gane face off in extremely TENSE final staredown ahead of title fight
JON JONES and Ciryl Gane took part in a heated final staredown ahead of their heavyweight title fight.
The duo, 35 and 32 respectively, will throw down for the vacant heavyweight title in the main event of UFC 285 in Las Vegas.
The pair took part in a semi-intense staredown during Thursday’s pre-fight press conference at the MGM Grand Garden’s KA Theater on Thursday.
But it was a lot tenser the second time around.
Gane, who weighed in a 247lbs, took the scale first for the ceremonial weigh-ins and had to deal with a cascade of boos.
The Frenchman lapped them up and showed no sign of being rattled by the pro-Jones crowd as he waited for his opponent.
UFC legend Jones came out to a chorus of cheers from the raucous crowd and chants of his name.
And the fans went into a tizzy as he hit the ceremonial scale.
But their anticipation for the fight, and that of MMA fans around the world, really blew up when the pair went face-to-face for the final time before fight night.
During Thursday’s pre-fight press conference, he said: “I respect Ciryl Gane, I really do.

“But I study film constantly and I just see a lot of patterns.
“When he’s in one stance, there’s things he really loves to do.
“He goes to the same well a lot. When he’s in the opposite stance, he has his tendencies.
“Outside of that, I realized that he doesn’t have much wrestling.
“He relies on evasion, trying to get away. He relies on jiu-jitsu instead of solid takedown defense, and same with the ground game.
” I watched Francis Ngannou be able to rack up maybe five, six minutes of top time in that fight, and Francis is not a guy that’s known to control people on the top.
“He does have the striking down. I don’t think defensively he’s a very strong kickboxer. He has a really nice offense.
“Like I said, his defense is mainly in his footwork, and two other big holes are jiu-jitsu and wrestling.”

The pair got the opportunity to size one another up during a pre-fight press conference at the KA Theater at the MGM Grand Garden Arena on Thursday night.
They traded verbal jabs much to the delight of the rabid fans in attendance.
And they got up close and personal a few moments after the conclusion of the presser.

Hall of Famer Jones was last in action at UFC 247 in February 2020 against Dominick Reyes in what proved to be his final outing at light-heavyweight.
Jones retained his light-heavyweight crown with a unanimous decision victory, although many thought he lost the final.
Gane, meanwhile, bounced from defeat in his unification bout with Ngannou last January with a stunning third-round TKO victory over fan favourite Tai Tuivasa in Paris last September.

What’s been said?
Jones said: “It’s kind of short time for me. I wish I had a little bit more time to prepare
“This idea of preparing for a new opponent in about six or seven weeks, I’ve done it before and I think it’s more than enough time.
“I would have liked more time, but I do think that this is a good amount of time, I feel great.”
On an elusive clash with Ngannou, the former pound-for-pound king told RMC Sport: “I don’t think I deserve any criticism.
“I’m here. Francis had the opportunity to face me and he opted out of the opportunity.
“If anyone should be criticized, it’s Francis Ngannou.
“If I’m correct, he was offered the biggest contract in Heavyweight history.
“He had the opportunity to be a guy that dethroned me and he didn’t believe in himself. He wasn’t willing to gamble on himself.”
Gane said: “I know I’ve got good footwork at first, I think I’m a little bit more well-rounded [than Francis Ngannou].
“I look a little bit more like Jon Jones.
“Yes, when you have a big guy that just wants to kill you with one punch, it’s more easier for a guy well-rounded and smart like Jon Jones to manage the situation.
“Me, also, I am not like that. I like to manage the situation. It’s going to be really good.”
Weigh To Go
Jones told SunSport of his body transformation:
During the UFC 285 media day, he told SunSport: “I ended up off training camp bench pressing 315 (143kg) for five [reps].
“Deadlifts was about 640lbs and my squat was about 500lbs, maybe 520lbs, somewhere around there.
“Towards the end, I wasn’t going for big numbers.
“I was just going for explosiveness and muscular endurance. But I’ve got pretty strong over the last three years.”
He added: “A few months ago, I got up to 267lbs.
“But I felt a little more bloated and I didn’t like my endurance at that weight.”
“I plan on competing right around, anywhere between, 245 and 250lbs.”
