Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous devs reveal a Warhammer 40K CRPG
A DnD-style RPG set in the grimdark Warhammer 40,000 universe is on the way. The Warhammer 40K CRPG in question is called Rogue Trader, and it’s being developed by Owlcat Games, the studio behind Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous. Bizarre as it is to think, this will be the first classic-style RPG game Warhammer 40K has ever seen.

Warhammer: 40K: Darktide beta crash bugs may have workarounds
The pre-launch beta phase for Darktide has begun, and players are running into difficulties beyond the forces of Chaos. Warhammer 40K: Darktide beta crash bugs, stability problems, and other issues have also been plaguing the brutal co-op game in this pre-release period, during which players who pre-ordered can jump in early. Developer Fatshark has released a list of known issues and possible workarounds, and players themselves have come up with some suggested solutions to common problems.

Microsoft has announced the latest batch of games heading to Game Pass in November for Xbox and PC.
Available today for PC, cloud, and console is Obsidian’s Pentiment. In it, you will jump into the world of illuminated manuscripts and play as Andreas Maler, a journeyman artist living in 16th-century Bavaria. There are murders and scandals all-around to deal with, taking place over 25 years in the game.
Somerville is also available today for cloud, console, and PC. This day-one Game Pass title has you trying to make your family whole again after a catastrophe in this Sci-Fi adventure game that Tom called “the most beautiful game I’ve ever played.”
Warhammer 40k: Darktide’s Inquisitor explains her mission
If you’ve played the Warhammer 40k: Darktide beta (or read my excited impressions from my hands-on demo during Summer Games Fest), you already know that it’s a brutal first-person co-op game about spelunking through the metallic depths below a massive Imperium hive city and rooting out the forces of Chaos. In the latest trailer, we meet the Warhammer 40k: Darktide inquisitor who’ll be calling the shots, and she explains a little about what’s at stake.

Warhammer 40K: Darktide’s closed beta is live but you can still apply
Warhammer 40K: Darktide’s closed beta is underway, which you probably already know if you’re one of the people granted access to test the co-op shooter. If you don’t have access however, there’s still time as you can still apply and more players will be let in over the course of this weekend. You might also enjoy watching some streamers play so you have a better sense of it ahead of its release in November.
Warhammer 40k Darktide Closed Beta Is This Weekend And You Can Still Sign Up
Warhammer 40,000: Darktide opened a beta today, which will run through the weekend and end on October 16.
The three-day beta is technically closed, however anyone can sign up via Steam for a chance to get access. Developer Fatshark will let in more players over the weekend, so it’s worth signing up if you are interested. Relevant streamers have also been given access to the beta and may give away keys as part of their livestreams.
Darktide is a first-person four-player co-op action game a la Warhammer Vermintide, which was also developed by Fatshark. Vermintide is set in Warhammer’s medieval fantasy setting, while Darktide takes place in the far-future, space-facing world of 40K. Vermintide let you take control of specific characters, each with an associated class. In Darktide, you make your own character and customize their class and backstory. The game intends to add more replayability and flexibility to the Vermintide formula, adding a loot system and expanding on level variants. If you don’t get into the beta or want a sense how it plays, you can read GameSpot’s preview of Darktide or check out 11 minutes of Psyker class gameplay footage.
