Left 4 Dead 3 is a non-priority, according to Counter-Strike 2 files
Jokes about Valve’s inability to count to three practically write themselves, but in fairness, the publisher have reportedly reached the mythical number in Counter-Strike 2’s files. The mention of “Left4Dead3” was recently spotted in CS2’s files (thanks, Reddit) which sparked online speculation for a third game in the series. The files state that the “severity” is “high”, the “version” is “2”, but what about the “priority?” Bad news for fans of the run-and-gunning zombie shooter: according to the files, the priority is “none.”
The games of 2022, according to this year’s GDC and IGF Award winners
This year’s Game Developers Choice and IGF Award ceremonies were really heartening stuff. Getting to see so many great developers have their games celebrated by their peers will always warm the old cockles, especially when we celebrated so many of them in our own RPS Advent Calendar at the end of last year. Well, I say ‘see’. In truth, I was tucked away backstage at this year’s IGF and GDC Awards, clutching my dictaphone with a single question in mind: if each winner had to give away their award to another game in their category, who would it be and why?
It’s an idea Brendan (RPS in peace) came up with back in the primordial mists of 2018, and it was so good I just had to knick it and do it again. It might be cruel to wrench these awards away so soon after receiving them, but it’s all in the name of spreading good vibes and extra shoutouts, I promise. So here are the games of the year 2022, according to the people who just won awards for games of the year 2022.

It appears a release window for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 has been leaked by Venom actor Tony Todd, who will lend his voice to the character in the game.
In a now-deleted tweet, the actor stated publicity for the game will start in August leading up to a release in September.
After the deletion of the tweet, Todd returned to Twitter to blame the slip up on jetlag.

The 5 best gaming chairs, according to professional streamers
Gamers turn sitting into an art form.
While maneuvering a controller, keeping an eye out for opponents, and sitting for hours, your body is in fight-or-flight mode. Whether you’re playing solo or streaming a play-by-play to your Twitch audience, it’s important that you’re sitting comfortably and properly.
One size doesn’t fit all when it comes to gaming chairs, though. There are ergonomic-style chairs, as well as models with additional cozy fixings (like a footrest). Regardless, it can be hard to find the best gaming chair for your digital entertainment needs. That’s why we want to help you make the best decision when picking one up.
If you’re looking for the best gaming chair in 2023, you might want to ask someone who spends a lot of time in theirs. While entertaining their audiences, professional streamers often sit for more than eight hours a day. So, we interviewed a range of professional gamers to get their picks for the most comfortable gaming chair.
Of course, there’s no one-size-fits-all answer when it comes to purchasing a gaming chair. Some models work best for tall people, while others may have better lumbar adjustments that can help alleviate back pain. Before you make a purchase, check our list to see if you’ve met your match.
Things to consider while shopping for a gaming chair
Before you spend some serious cash on a gaming chair, there are a few things to consider.
Purpose
How will you use your chair? If you’re only buying a chair for gaming and streaming, look for something that offers head, neck, and back support. On the other hand, if a gaming chair will serve as a desk chair, a kitchen seat, and a napping spot, you can opt for a model that’s more recliner-like.
Height and weight
Factor your height and weight when you’re looking for a gaming chair. You don’t want to buy something that’s too big or too small for your body proportions. Some chairs even come in alternative sizes, so you can game without worrying about breakage or wear-and-tear.
Comfort
As if playing video games or streaming aren’t stressful enough, having a comfy seating option is important. You want to have good posture and be comfortable during your gaming sessions, especially if you’re playing online. A gaming chair should provide support without causing pain.
Features
Some gaming chairs come with cool features, including plush neck rests, sections to place your feet, and cup holders for beverages. Consider what a model can do for your digital entertainment needs before making a decision.
Warranty
Most gaming chairs don’t come cheap, so check to see what a company’s warranty policies are. If a chair comes with a money-back guarantee or warranty, see what’s covered. Some models don’t come with warranties, and if that’s the case, factor in how much more you’ll be spending if the chair needs to be repaired or replaced.

Whether you’re a seasoned player, professional streamer, or part-time video game aficionado, here are our top picks for the best gaming chairs.

Genshin Impact 3.6 adds even more desert locations, according to leak
A new Genshin Impact leak has revealed that HoYoverse is planning to once again expand the Sumeru desert. So far, the anime game‘s desert has been mostly a source of tragedy if you’ve completed its longer world quests, so hopefully this new area spices things up a bit and offers new perspectives and interesting gameplay. The long jogs through the sand to get from place to place aren’t as magical as they used to be.

A Vampire Survivors sequel seems unlikely, according to its developer
I had a brief, intense relationship with Vampire Survivors last year, but a steady stream of early access updates and now post-release DLC has kept other players in its thrall for much longer. Those updates have been successful enough that its developer says that they’d only make a sequel if it offered “something radically new.”
