Ace puzzler Desktop Dungeons: Rewind has a demo and incoming daily challenges
Desktop Dungeons is a morish puzzle game from 2010 that channels conventional dungeoning into fiendish headscratching. Every enemy sits still, waiting for you to come and whack it. Whack willy-nilly, though, and they’ll kill you in no time – so you have to tactically explore parts of each level to heal, while targeting foes in an order that lets you survive long enough to level up and take on the big bads.
Desktop Dungeons: Rewind is an upcoming “modern remastering” of the original, with 3D graphics and the ability to rewind time rather than start each level from the very beginning. It’s got a demo you can play right now, and it’s adding free daily challenges with a sharable leaderboard later this month. I am hyped.

Ace swing ’em up Spiderheck slings out custom trials and maps with portals
What if spiders had lightsabers is an impeccable premise for a game, and Spiderheck delivers on that premise with aplomb. It’s an arena fighting game geared towards couch co-op and couch competition, but there’s online play and single-player modes too. Yesterday’s “THE TRIALS OF JAZEPS” update added new difficulty levels to wave survival, as well as custom trials you can send to your friends.
It also chucks in some new maps with portals, because the only thing better than a lightsaber-wielding spider is a lightsaber wielding spider suddenly emerging from a portal.
Ace social deduction survival murder sim Project Winter adds new roles and systems
Project Winter is one of the best social deduction games you can play on your PC. You could uncharitably call it the grumpy rules lawer uncle of Among Us, smothering the raw thrill of lies and accusation beneath a blanket of systems and complexities. I had an absolute blast with it a few years ago, though, and for my money the highs absolutely make that blanket worth snuggling under.
I get to tell you about it again because the Power Balance: Vol 2 Update came out last week, adding a couple more roles and new systems that give traitors more strategies to turn to.

Ace Attorney creator’s Ghost Trick could be heading to PC
Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective was released for Nintendo DS in 2010. It was a linear detective game written and directed by Shu Takumi, the creator of the the Phoenix Wright series, and it has you solving puzzles – and avoiding murders – by possessing objects and corpses.
It’s just been rated for a PC release in Korea.
