Hulu is also getting a price bump
Disney has announced that its upcoming ad-supported tier of Disney+ will cost $7.99–as much as its current ad-free plan–and will be available starting December 8. That same day, there will also be a price hike for the ad-free plan, which will increase to $10.99 per month and change its name to Disney+ Premium.
When the new tier launches, it will mark the first time that Disney introduces commercials onto its flagship streaming service, which the company shared in a Q3 earnings report has racked up 152.1 million subscribers worldwide since launching on November 2019.
As of October 10, Hulu is going from $12.99 to $14.99, and ad-supported from $6.99 to $7.99.
The newest update for Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds introduces server-wide competitive multiplayer and pets.
In the Fight for the Throne event, players, players will join in battle against three other kingdoms. Players will have to strategize to bring a centralized dragon to their own base and reach a specific score to achieve victory. The winning players will be designated as the Capital Kingdom on the server. The victor will receive special rewards, such as a special kingdom skin, a costume, and bonuses for server events.
The other major addition is pets. Distinct from familiars, pets will follow players around the world. Pets can also serve as collectables. In other changes, you can now choose whether they will play a quest with automatic, semi-automatic, or manual settings. New players using the game’s PC version can also bypass the mobile linked sign-up and just begin on their computer.
Globally, Disney+ has reached 152.1 million subscribers, as of July 2, 2022. This was noted prior to the August 10 investor call. The streaming service has grown 31% globally in the last year..
For the United States and Canada, Disney+ has 44.5 million subscribers–with the total for the service being 93.6 million around the globe. The remaining 58.4 million come from Disney+ Hotstar, which grew from 44.9 million since 2021.
In May, Disney announced it closed the quarter with 137.7 million Disney+ subscribers, so over the course of the past three months, the streaming service has gained an additional 14.4 million subscribers.

It’s been a bit of an up-and-down year to be a Sonic fan. Sonic Frontiers has looked brilliant and troubled in alternating media drops, and Sonic Origins offered fans the definitive versions of the 2D classics they’ve been clamoring for – except they were riddled with bugs, and weren’t really definitive. But now, Sonic fans have another reason to celebrate: the release of Sonic Triple Trouble… but in a new format.
For those of you who aren’t a thousand years old, Triple Trouble is a classic 8-bit Sonic game. Because the 8-bit games came out at roughly the same time as the 16-bit games, they’re rightly not as revered or beloved – but they are still, broadly, lovely little platformers that attempt to adapt the Sonic formula for much weaker platforms. A few of these games were loose adaptations of their Mega Drive equivalents – but a few were all-original affairs.
Most notable of these is Sonic the Hedgehog: Triple Trouble. This 8-but title is actually older than Sonic’s other classic 2D adventures, releasing for the Sega Game Gear handheld a few months after Sonic & Knuckles hit Mega Drive. That placement in the Sonic timeline got some fans thinking: what if this game had been 16-bit, and what if it were a sequel to Sonic 3 & Knuckles? What if it were, essentially, Sonic 4?
While I haven’t the slightest idea how he’s managed it, Geoff Keighley has announced that Gamescom Opening Night Live is to run for two hours, with 30+ world-premiere announcements.
After the event was forced to go online for two years as a result of the pandemic, Gamescom will finally be an in-person event running from August 24-28, 2022, in Cologne, Germany. Meanwhile, to kick things off, Geoff Keighley confirms that the Gamescom Opening Night Live will be streamed from Germany on August 23.
For those who wish to attend the event in-person, which is said to have an audience of thousands of fans, you can purchase one of the limited tickets from Gamescom’s official website.
“Things are much more encouraging, even though this is clearly a time of pain,” said Wave Financial’s head of business development Mike Jones.
