Apex Heirloom Bug Puts Ash Players At A Disadvantage, Prompting “Pay-To-Lose” Complaints
Apex Legends players were thrilled that the “pay-to-win” Splash Zone Flatline skin was fixed via a patch released earlier this week, but the celebration was short-lived, as it soon became clear that another cosmetic item from the Sun Squad Collection Event had unintentionally nerfed Ash: her Heirloom Set.
The artificial assassin’s long-awaited Heirloom Weapon, the Strongest Link, was initially met with praise when it was released as part of the Sun Squad Collection Event. But it’s now clear that something is amiss, as players have begun noticing Ash’s movement is significantly louder with the nunchaku-like weapon equipped. Some players are referring to the pricey weapon as a “pay-to-lose” cosmetic.
Apex Legends is no stranger to audio issues, especially when it comes to footsteps. But this bug marks the first time a Heirloom Weapon has ever caused significant audio issues. Players testing the bug have posted the results on Reddit, with one poster even uploading a video to demonstrate the issue.

Watch Ash Ketchum’s Japanese Voice Actor Absolutely Nail the Original Pokémon Theme Song
Pokémon bids farewell to a legend next week. In Japan, the final episode of the two-and-a-half-decade-old Pokémon anime to star Ash Ketchum (or Satoshi, as he’s known over there) will broadcast, paving the way for a new series. But the voice behind the forever-young Pokémon trainer is sending him out in style.
Sam Raimi Says Evil Dead’s Ash Williams Could One Day Return
Evil Dead Rise is creeping out of the haunted basement and into theaters next month, but—much like the 2013 Evil Dead remake—it won’t star Bruce Campbell as Ash Williams, instead pursuing a new continuation of the story. And while Campbell himself has said he’s done playing Ash, Evil Dead director Sam Raimi just…
Ash might be leaving the Pokemon anime, but Captain Pikachu is joining it
Ash and Pikachu might be leaving the Pokemon anime, but a new sea-faring take on the electric mouse pocket monster is set to join the new main cast.
It’s been a long journey, but the Pokemon anime is finally gearing up to say goodbye to everyone’s favourite trainer, Ash Ketchum. Over in Japan, the anime is currently wrapping things up, with Ash galavanting around with his original pair of friends, Brock and Misty, with a number of reunions of old favourites taking place. But with Ash no longer set to be the protagonist of the Pokemon anime, there’s also been the lingering issue of not having Pikachu in the main story. Turns out The Pokemon Company has that covered by introducing a new Pikachu: Captain Pikachu.
Pikachu is the series’ main mascot, so it would have been weird to have an anime without him. But as revealed on the official Pokemon Twitter, a new character is being introduced who has Captain Pikachu as a partner Pokemon. This trainer, Friede, will travel with the new protagonists Liko and Roy, but not much more has been shared outside of that.
