From 1996 to 2000, Coolio was married to his first wife, Josefa Salinas.

In 2009, he was romantically linked to Anabella Bellesi, and the two welcomed what is known as his 10th child – his son, Christopher.

The Gangsta’s Paradise star was reportedly found in the bathroom at his friend’s Los Angeles home on Wednesday evening, TMZ reports.
Fans of the legendary performer have taken to social media to mourn, with many referencing his popular 1994 song, Fantastic Voyage.
An official cause of death has not yet been released.

Coolio was at a friend’s house late Wednesday afternoon when he went to the bathroom.
When he didn’t return, his friend reportedly began to call for him but didn’t get an answer.

The friend then called the paramedics, who pronounced Coolio dead on the scene.
While an official cause of death has not yet been issued, the EMTs who responded to the call suspect it was a heart attack.
Just days before his death, the rapper posted a video to his Instagram from Texas, where he was on stage touring.
That post has become a makeshift memorial as fans learn of his death.

Coolio’s longtime manager, Jarez, told TMZ that the rap icon was visiting a friend in Los Angeles when he died.
He reportedly went to use the restroom and never came out.
The friend eventually went to check on Coolio and found him on the floor.

COOLIO’S HISTORY
Coolio was born in August 1963 in Pennsylvania but later moved to Compton, California.
Once there, he joined WC and the Maad Circle in 1991.
Years later, in 1994, he signed with Tommy Boy Records and released his debut album It Takes a Thief.
The album’s lead single, Fantastic Voyage, as well as another single, called It Takes a Thief, propelled him toward notoriety.
Gansta’s Paradise was released in the mid-90s, at which point Coolio really rose to fame.
He went on to record Aw, Here It Goes! which was used as the opening sequence of Nickelodeon’s Kenan & Kel.
In addition to his musical pursuits, Coolio appeared on reality TV.
He landed his own Oxygen show in 2007 called Coolio & The Gang.
