Major Diablo Immortal update adds clan wars, cursed items, and more
The third major Diablo Immortal update is upon us. Blizzard’s crossover RPG game has been hugely successful since its launch in 2022, but as we creep towards the one-year anniversary it’s understandably somewhat in the shadow of the Diablo 4 release date. If, however, you’re looking for something to do now that the open beta is over, there’s a ton in this new Diablo Immortal patch to keep you busy.

Diablo Immortal’s Third Major Update Brings Clan-Based Tower Defense And Cursed Items
Diablo Immortal’s Age of Falling Towers update is right around the corner, and it will introduce a tower defense-inspired mode that will have the game’s various clans duking it out for supremacy.
As detailed by Blizzard in a new blog post, Accursed Towers is the name of the new PvE/PvP mode coming to the mobile ARPG on March 30 for players in Americas and March 29 for the rest of the world. Each season, clans can attempt to claim and hold up to two towers (though each clan can only control one tower the first week of the season). These towers grant powerful rewards and bonuses to clan members in control of them, but to conquer a tower, clan members must first duke it out against the forces of hell in a unique PvE battle. Clans will race to conquer as many Cursed Shards from defeated enemies as possible in order to claim victory.
But conquering a tower the first time around is just the first step. Demons will periodically rise up, and clan members will need to defend their tower or else risk losing it. There is, however, a way to prevent demonic incursions. Clan leaders have the option of powering up claimed towers, which increases the rewards that tower provides. The catch is that doing so essentially turns the game mode from PvE to PvP, after which other clans can challenge those in control of towers to direct PvP battles.
The cursed elongated baby bug returns in The Sims 4’s Growing Together expansion
The Sims 4 recently spawned infants into its life sim sandbox via a free update, and the substantial Growing Together expansion. At launch, Sims would go from nascent babies to walking, talking kids, skipping the infant years that teach them, for example, how to talk in Simlish, although that does sound like baby talk too. The new expansion adds a lot to Sim’s life stages, but the real show stealer here is a pesky bug that elongates babies. Yes, you read that correctly.

Before Dead Space, Isaac Clarke had quite the cursed CV
Dead Space’s Isaac Clarke is clearly a man of many talents. He’s a systems engineer by trade, so he knows his way around the dense innards of space vessels. He’s also handy around a toolbox and is more than familiar with high-risk equipment like the Plasma Cutter. Oh, and he’s remarkably good at slicing and dicing necromorphs into juicy squelchy lumps. What a resume!
But did you know that our favourite space engineer also has lots of secret talents too? When Dead Space originally came out in the back end of 2008, his corporate overseers at EA sent Mr. Clarke to do all sorts of odd jobs before he popped off on the believeable, but bleak USG Ishimiura. Golf caddy, professional skateboarder, even a part-time dragon slayer. Heck, he’s recently been back on the second gig train with his stint in Fortnite just earlier this week. The poor dude is in desperate need of a vacation. Until then, though, come and marvel at Isaac’s many talents and see what a hard worker he is.
Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew Announced by Desperados 3 Developers
Mimimi Games, the developer behind 2020’s great strategy game Desperados 3, has revealed its latest project. It’s called Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew, and the team at Mimimi describes it as a “stealth strategy” game.
In Shadow Gambit, you’ll “join a ghost ship with a living soul and assemble a cursed pirate crew. Embrace supernatural powers to defy the menacing army of the Inquisition, who stands between you and the mysterious treasure of the legendary Captain Mordechai.” Your own ship is the Red Marley, described as a “ghost ship with a living soul.” From it you can take on individual character missions to learn more about your crew, plan your next adventure, or just hang out with your crew.
You’ll also have the ability to pause time to plan moves as well as to go back to the spot you paused in order to try another tactic if you fail. Overall, think “Desperados 3 meets Pirates of the Caribbean.”
Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew is in development for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. Take a look at the announcement trailer at the top of the page and the first gameplay trailer below.
