Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Won’t Let PC and Xbox Players Disable Crossplay
Modern Warfare 2 players on PC and Xbox can’t disable cross-play
Modern Warfare 2, as with most of the recent Call of Duty games, supports full multiplayer cross-play and cross-progression on all platforms. This allows players to party up together, and matchmake against each other.
For one reason or another, however, some would prefer to play only with players on their own platform, which is where the option to disable cross-play comes in. Except, it’s only available on PlayStation at this time.
Though this might seem like another sneaky PlayStation-exclusive feature, the ability to disable cross-play has actually been available on other platforms in previous years. Though it often arrived late on Xbox, and would sometimes disappear and later return.
How to disable your Instagram account on iPhone step by step
TECHNOLOGY plays a large role in society as people are drawn to apps including Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram.
However, apps can create societal pressures through the content prompting users to delete their accounts.
How can you deactivate your account?
You can deactivate your Instagram account as a temporary alternative to deleting your account altogether.
By doing this, you will pause your account and take it off the platform indefinitely, and choose the allotted time you wish to keep it deactivated.
Through deactivating your account, you can log back in at any point, resulting in your account reactivating and you can continue using it where you left off.
It’s important to note that deactivating your account can’t be done through the app and that it needs to be done on a web browser.
Follow these steps to deactivate your account.
Step 1: Go to Instagram.com and log into your account.
Step 2: Click on your profile page and select to edit profile.
Step 3: Scroll to the bottom of the page where you will see an option that says: “temporarily disable my account.”
Step 3: You will be prompted to provide the reason for disabling your account and can select the reason from the drop-down menu.
Step 4: Re-enter your password and temporarily disable your account.
Step 5: Success! Your account is now temporarily deactivated and it will be hidden from other users. Note: Instagram’s policy states that you can only deactivate your account once a week.

Why is it good to take a break from social media?
Social media apps have been linked to an increased risk of depression, anxiety, loneliness, self-harm, and even suicidal thoughts.
As with any vice, social media is addictive and can cause withdrawal symptoms in those who stop using it abruptly.
A study by Swansea University found people underwent physiological effects when they stopped using social media.
Study author Phil Reed said, “We have known for some time that people who are over-dependent on digital devices report feelings of anxiety when they are stopped from using them, but now we can see that these psychological effects are accompanied by actual physiological changes.”
Psychologists suggest taking intermittent breaks from social media because the comparison with others’ lives can cause mental instability and depression.
A 2018 study found that reducing social media increased our own life satisfaction, makes people feel less lonely, and improved their overall well-being.
The results showed that those in the group who had limited access to social media saw a significant reduction in their level of loneliness and depression compared to those who spent more time on social media apps.
It’s therefore suggested to take frequent breaks from social media and live your life through your own lens.
How to disable Crash Detection on your iPhone or Apple Watch
If you’re an Apple user who loves amusement parks, you might want to disable Crash Detection. That’s because there have been several reports of the emergency feature being triggered on rollercoasters.
Aside from this unintended use case, Crash Detection, which is available on the new iPhone 14 line, as well as the Apple Watch Series 8 and Apple Watch Ultra, has already been proven to work. And it could very well be a lifesaver in the event of a car accident, so you might not want to disable it.
Nonetheless, there is a way to turn it off. Here’s how.
1. Go to settings
Open Settings on your Apple Watch Series 8/Ultra or iPhone 14 device. Scroll down and tap “Emergency SOS.”
2. Scroll down and disable “Crash Detection”
In the “Emergency SOS” section, you’ll find several settings related to emergency settings. Find the setting called “Crash Detection” and toggle it off.

3. Confirm Crash Detection is disabled
Next, you’ll be prompted with a disclaimer explaining that turning off the feature will prevent your device from automatically making an emergency call. Tap “Turn Off.”

And that’s it. Just remember to turn Crash Detection back on when your amusement park joy ride’s over.

iOS 16.1 Beta Lets You Disable AirPods Pro 2 Touch Volume Control
One feature of the new AirPods Pro is that users can increase or decrease volume by swiping up or down on the touch sensors on the individual stems. While some users may find the feature convenient, others may not. On iOS 16.0.2, the current public release of iOS 16, users cannot disable touch controls for volume.
In the iOS 16.1 beta, there is a new toggle inside the Accessibility page for the second-generation AirPods Pro to enable or disable touch controls for volume. As before, users can customize the press-and-hold functionality of the AirPods Pro stems, including to switch among Active Noise Cancellation, Transparency mode, and Off, or to invoke Siri.
iOS 16.1 is available for developers and members of Apple’s public beta program, with a public release expected in October. In addition to the new toggle for the AirPods Pro, iOS 16.1 will include changes to the battery indicator and more.

How to Disable Bing in the Windows 10 Start Menu
Windows 10, by default, sends everything you search for in the Start Menu to their servers to give you results from Bing search — so you better make sure that you don’t type anything private into your own PC’s Start Menu. Or, you could just disable the Bing integration in the Start Menu.
