Signed Apple-1 and Sealed Original iPhone Expected to Fetch High Prices at Auction
The Apple-1 for sale is “undiscovered,” as it was not on the known list of remaining Apple-1 devices until 2023. It was first used as a demonstration system at the Data Domain computer store in Columbus, Indiana in 1977. After that, it was given to the current owner.
The machine was signed by Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak and it is in full operational condition. There were around 200 Apple-1 computers produced in 1976, and 175 of those were sold. A limited number of the devices remain, and they can sell for upwards of $400,000. The Data Domain Apple-1 is considered an “exceptional and historic” example of one of the machines, and RR Auction expects it to sell for over $500,000.
An original, sealed iPhone is up for sale as well, notable as a sealed first-generation iPhone just sold for more than $63,000, quite a premium over the initial $599 retail price. Bids for the RR Auction model are already at $5,000, and it is expected to sell for well over $20,000.
Other items up for sale include notes handwritten by Steve Jobs, a Steve Jobs-signed check, a Steve Jobs business card, an Apple IIe, a Macintosh 128K prototype computer, an Apple Lisa, an Apple Computer stock certificate, an Apple Computer latch hook rug, a collection of Apple pins and keychains, and more.

Walter White’s Glorious Underwear From Breaking Bad Is Up For Auction, Expected To Go For $1,000+
Walter White’s iconic underwear from Breaking Bad is now up for auction, but there are some important things to consider if you’re thinking about plopping down major cash.
First and foremost, this is not the exact underwear worn by actor Bryan Cranston. This is a “decoration” pair of the tighty-whities. That’s probably for the best, because, uhh, yeah.
The underwear is made of cotton and polyester, and has a waist measurement of 40 inches. The underwear includes the trademark white elastic waistband with blue and goldenrod accents. The listing on the Propstore Auction website (via NME) states that the elasticity from the waistband is “largely lost” due to the passing of time.

New iMac Not Expected to Launch Until Late 2023 at Earliest
“I haven’t seen anything to indicate there will be a new iMac until the M3 chip generation, which won’t arrive until the tail end of this year at the earliest or next year,” wrote Gurman. “So if you want to stick with the iMac, you’ll just have to sit tight.”
Apple’s M3 chip is expected to be manufactured based on TSMC’s latest 3nm process, providing additional performance and power efficiency improvements. The M3 chip is also expected to be used in a new MacBook Air rumored to launch by the second half of 2023, and potentially in future versions of the 13-inch MacBook Pro and Mac mini. By comparison, the M2 chip is built on TSMC’s second-generation 5nm process.
Apple last updated the iMac in April 2021 with the M1 chip and a new ultra-thin design available in seven colors, including green, yellow, orange, pink, purple, blue, and silver. It is currently the only iMac available new, as the Intel-based 27-inch iMac and iMac Pro were both discontinued within the past two years. Gurman has previously claimed that a larger iMac could return, but he did not share any new info about that possibility today.
