How Weightlifting Burns Body Fat, Even After You Work Out – CNET
My date said I was ‘too fat’ so I proudly showed off my ‘grandma bod’ in a bikini – compliments poured in
MODERN dating is difficult to say the least — and even more complex for older women.
One TikTok user and grandma shared her dating nightmare of being body-shamed— and the resilient stand she took to reclaim her power.

Digital creator @Recover_your_power took to TikTok to share her empowering lesson in body positivity.
“So my date said I’m too fat,” she started.
“I know I have 25 pounds to lose,” she noted.
“But … can we normalize Grandma Bods?” she asked.
She then turned the camera to her amazing hour-glass figure, wearing a teeny-tiny black bikini.
TikTok users rushed to the comments with confusion, support, and most importantly, praise for the grandma’s figure.
One user wrote: “I don’t see where there is 25 lbs to lose?? You are perfect.”
Another agreed: “You’re gorgeous! The only thing you need is a different date!”
In her follow-up TikTok, she explained what motivated her to create this video.
“I was out by the pool and I was feeling really blue about my weight,” she said.
“I did some self-talk — and I said ‘screw it’” she explained.
“I don’t feel too bad for a grandma, and I just shot the damn video and then I posted it,” she said.

“It was the hardest thing I’ve ever done,” she said.
“Just because somebody doesn’t fit the mold of what you think they should for body positivity doesn’t mean that they don’t feel bad about how they look,” she noted.
“I wasn’t feeling 100% at all about how I looked — and I’m still not,” she explained.
“But those compliments did help,” she said. “I wasn’t fishing for compliments, I was trying to say that whatever you look like, be happy in your body.”
“I guess I was trying to convince myself to be happy in mine,” she said.
“If I was looking for clout, or compliments, I probably would have done a still shot,” she clarified. “And Photoshopped the hell out of it.”
“No matter what size you are, no matter what age you are, love yourself enough to feel good in your own skin,” she concluded.
TikTok users chimed in with even more support.
One user wrote: “Loved this…you be you!”
Another user couldn’t have agreed more: “You don’t have to explain yourself to anyone — honey you’re perfect as you are.”
I’m fat – I wear crop tops even though people expect me to cover up, hot girls have double chins
A WOMAN has shared the beauty expectations she claims people have for her and how she’s blatantly ignoring them and choosing to love herself.
Performer and content creator London Riley Keller confidently dresses her size-18 body and empowers other women to believe that their body shapes are beautiful too.

In one TikTok video, London wrote: “How people expect me to dress since I’m fat.”
A melancholy song played of a man repeatedly saying: “I’m so sorry that you have to have a body.”
First, London was wearing a beige chunky, oversized knit sweater that didn’t give her any shape.
She looked sad as she raised her shoulders, seemingly defeated. Then she uncomfortably crossed her arms over her chest.
But London was clearly using the song satirically as she proved that she doesn’t want pity from anyone because she actually loves her body.
The audio abruptly cut to Megan Thee Stallion energetically singing: “Body-ody-ody-ody-ody-ody-ody.”
The video also transitioned to London wearing a new outfit, which she posed confidently in. It was far from what haters expect her to dress like.
She was wearing a black fitted crop top. The unbuttoned and plunging neckline showed off her cleavage as well as a bright pink bralette.
She styled the crop top with daring low-rise jeans. Her bare stomach, covered in stretch marks, was unashamedly on display.
“How I actually dress (like a fat version of Regina George from Mean Girls),” London wrote over the video, citing her queen bee fashion inspiration.
“My body is my best friend,” she added in the caption.
“SLAYYYY,” someone commented, and another cheered: “YES YES A MILLION TIMES YES!”

Someone else wrote: “Your style reminds me of every blonde girl from 80s movies as a compliment. I love it.”
London seemed thrilled by the opinion, replying: “This is…. my dream. THANK YOU.”
While some people wholeheartedly agreed with dressing the way that you want, some couldn’t personally see it for themselves.
“We have like the same body type which is insane because you’re gorgeous, but I have a terrible double chin in person …. which ruins my entire appeal,” one woman commented.
London gave a lengthy response, writing: “SO not true !!! I understand ur feelings 100% because I used to be so deeply afraid of my double chin.”
“But hating our double chins is just a f***ed part of society that we have been force-fed to accept,” she said.
Encouraging the woman to believe that she is beautiful and worthy in her skin, London added: “Also hot b*****s have double chins, let’s be real.”
