People only just realized that the dishwasher top rack adjusts so you can fit everything in – it’s left many mind-blown
A LITTLE-known feature of dishwashers has left many people shocked after they learned the top racks are adjustable.
A TikTok video featuring the simple adjustment shows how you can maximize the appliance’s usefulness while saving time and space.
A TikToker has revealed a secret that could save dishwasher owners time, space, and money[/caption]
“I was today years old when I found out,” the highly-viewed video by @bankingtiktok begins, with a text overlay on a full dish rack.
“That the top level of dishwashers could go down,” the video continues.
The TikToker proceeds to lower the top dish rack via side levers so that the contents do not hit the roof of the appliance once the drawer is pushed in.
The video then pans over to show the TikToker’s stunned face.

For those who have been stuck with items that are caught in what seems to be the natural capacity of the machine, this discovery is revolutionary.
One user said: “mind literally blown,” while using three mind-explosion emojis to portray as much.
Another user said: “witchcraft I say.”
The skeptic of the bunch was quick to chime in with “depends on the model.”

This little-known hack comes amidst another shocking revelation about dishwashers.
According to a hot take from appliance repair pro Renae on TikTok, folks are regularly using Tide pods all wrong.
The appliance professional shares a hot take on her TikTok that changed the game for both Tide pod fans and dishwasher users.
Her recent video about dishwasher detergent pods has racked up over a million views.
“If you’re going to use pods in your dishwasher, do they go into the dispenser or not?” she asks.
“And the answer is: They do not.”
She goes on to explain that those with a dishwasher that has a spot specifically labeled ‘for pods’ are safe to use them in the soap dispenser.
For the rest of us, that could be a costly mistake.
The sticky substance that is used for cleaning from the gel pod, she explains, can get caught in the machine’s inner workings, causing it to fall into disrepair.
“I have had to replace dispensers on dishwashers because people put pods in them too often and it gunked them up and they would no longer open,” she said in the video.
Her recommendation is to put them in the bottom of the dishwasher.
Avoid any “exposed heating elements” she cautioned.
She also presented a secret hack for the safest soap dispensing: “You can do what I do and put (Tide pods) in the silverware caddy.”
Commenters shared their shock after learning they’ve been washing their dishes wrong for years.

Where Do We All Fit into Web3?
I made a MetaMask, a digital wallet that stores cryptocurrency and other tokens, in December of 2021. I have experienced many aspects of the Web3 world. However, I am still a ‘noob’ by all means. I have been observing as much as I can for roughly eight months. Finding examples of the various aspects of Web3, I learned quickly that something so often referred to as something similar to the Wild West could be complicated, confusing, and annoying to maneuver through.
Some would say being in space for about eight months is nothing in terms of experience, and in many ways, I agree. But, in this short time, I have recognized the need for general observation within space and the apparent lack of understanding surrounding it. I don’t know where the average person fits into Web3 right now, and I have no clue what it will look like in 5 years. Up to this moment, I have used or experienced games built on the blockchain, visited the virtual environments the Metaverse is to become, used the dApps that allow additional utility and advantages than web2 applications, and much more that I am still finding. Unfortunately, I still have no idea what it means for me and where I fit in the potentially decentralized future, which I think most people would agree with. For instance, while DeFI (Decentralized Finance) may sound perfect for an accountant to become exposed to, which it may very well be, it may also be the experience that leads them to their first NFT, or maybe a dApp that makes a part of their job way more accessible.
But, if people are to continue to become a part of the space and be more available for mass adoption, the space must improve. I have decided I want to somehow document the progression I see within Web3 and provide some beneficial record of experience for what the public ledger that is the blockchain unlocks.
Of course, specific topics must be covered, how to give yourself security in a world where the responsibility primarily falls upon the individual. But, helpful knowledge such as gas prices and their fluctuations, understanding a whitelist(WL), also called allow lists, for an NFT, and how that’s different from Bitcoins and every other cryptos whitepaper. Ultimately the community is a powerful entity within the umbrella of Web3, but helping give insight to each other will enable everything else to progress forward.
Ok?
I don’t want to be that nobody that talks like they are somebody. However, I believe if regular people don’t discuss their experiences honestly more often, then we are failing the potential of all of Web3. There I have made the internal decision within my mind to try and discuss what I observe moving forward as a nobody.

I’m a flight attendant – my easy packing hacks let you fit ’14 days’ worth of clothes into a carry-on to save you money
A FLIGHT attendant has shared her secret to fitting 14 days worth of clothes into a carry-on, helping you avoid having to check a bag and saving you money in the process.
As flight attendants spend most of their time traveling, they need to know how to maximize their suitcase space.
Reddit user Phxflyer shared on the forum that a flight attendant said the best packing hack is to roll clothes.
The user wrote: “Definitely roll your clothes.
“I can get between 12 to 14 days’ worth of clothes in a carry-on rolling bag if I roll, slightly less in the winter.
“A flight attendant told me about it and I’ve been doing it for a while now.”
Other Reddit users applauded the hack and even shared their own experiences having tried it.
User Frecklesfunn said: “Roll up everything, in full outfits.
“I put a full outfit on the bed from longest to shortest article of clothing and then roll it up.
“I only pack one extra outfit for how many days we will be gone in addition to a few extra underwear/socks/shirts. With kids especially – this makes life so much easier.”

Another user said that rolling clothes “takes up far less space.”
The only thing to be aware of – even when using the rolling method – is the weight of your carry-on.
Some low-budget airlines have weight restrictions on carry-on luggage.
Be sure to check with your airline for carry-on rules and restrictions so you don’t fall victim to having to check your bag upon arrival at the airport.
