Batgirl Movie Footage Blocked From Directors By Warner Bros. Discovery
It’s been a rough month over at HBO Max with Warner Bros. Discovery removing a slew of Cartoon Network programs as well as original shows, as well as shelving an almost completed movie like Batgirl. At the time, it seemed strictly business, with Warner Bros. Discovery releasing a statement actually praising actress Leslie Grace.
“The decision to not release Batgirl reflects our leadership’s strategic shift as it relates to the DC universe and HBO Max,” reads the statement (via The Hollywood Reporter). “Leslie Grace is an incredibly talented actor and this decision is not a reflection of her performance. We are incredibly grateful to the filmmakers… and we hope to collaborate with everyone again in the near future.”
However, co-directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah revealed to the French media outlet Skript that studio actually blocked their access to footage and that’s how they found out it had been canceled. When asked if they had any of the footage, Fallah said they had nothing.

HBO’s The Last Of Us TV show gets first official footage
We’ve known HBO have been making a TV adaptation of everyone’s favourite grim zombie apocalypse The Last Of Us for some time now, but aside from a few leaks and still images, we haven’t actually seen it in action yet – until now. Late last night, HBO released the first official footage from the show, showing Pedro Pascal’s Joel giving some serious lip to Bella Ramsey’s Ellie, as well as a very quick peek at Bill, played by Nick Offerman. Slated to arrive sometime on our tellyboxes next year, have a watch of the trailer below.
New footage from HBO’s The Last of Us TV show is out now and it’s looking great
The first official peek at the Last of Us TV adaptation is out in the wild courtesy of a new HBO montage trailer going through their lineup of ongoing or soon-to-drop series. Right at the end of the video, we see a few scenes of major characters as well as confirmation that it’ll be coming out next year. Exciting stuff!
While great stuff like Succession and Game of Thrones got ample time in the spotlight, fans of the hugely popular Naughty Dog action adventure game will be glued to a few seconds of precious new footage showing off the upcoming re-imagining of the Last of Us story.
In the short clip of HBO’s Last of Us, we see Joel and Ellie played by Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey respectively travelling across a ravaged USA, seemingly following a similar journey as they did in the original game – crossing through the abandoned world together, and hashing out their issues as they go.
HBO shares first footage of ‘The Last of Us’ TV series
HBO has shared the first footage from its upcoming live-action adaptation of The Last of Us. In a trailer the streamer published on YouTube before the premiere of House of the Dragon, we see about 20 seconds of Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey as Joel and Ellie. Despite the short length of the clip, it’s filled with moments fans will recognize. We see an exchange between Joel and Ellie that’s lifted directly from the original game. There’s even a flashback featuring Joel’s biological daughter. The footage also offers a glimpse of Nick Offerman as Bill.
Expectations for the series are already riding high. In addition to a star-studded cast, Craig Mazin of Chernobyl fame is involved in the project as writer, creator and executive producer, as is the game’s original creative director, Neil Druckmann. The series is expected to premiere in early 2023. The first season will feature 10 episodes.

Pokemon Scarlet And Violet Trailer Shows New Battle Footage, Confirms Ranked Matches
At the conclusion of the 2022 Pokemon World Championships in London, The Pokemon Company CEO Tsunekazu Ishihara unveiled a new trailer for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, which focused on battle mechanics and online play.
The trailer opened with the introduction of a new Pokemon, the Dragon- and Normal-type Cyclizar, which showed off a new move called Shed Tail. This move acts like a mixture of Substitute and Baton Pass, creating a Poke Doll substitute before immediately swapping out for another Pokemon in the party.
Meet the Mount Pokémon, Cyclizar. A Pokémon that has lived in many Paldea region households since ancient times, it’s common to see people riding Cyclizar!
Fun fact: It can sprint at over 70 mph while carrying a human! #PokemonScarletViolethttps://t.co/4aXR8qx58p pic.twitter.com/2jzUBYecRH— Nintendo of America (@NintendoAmerica) August 21, 2022
The trailer also showed off new battle items coming to Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, including the Mirror Herb, which mimics a stat boost an opponent gives itself and applies it to the holder of the item, and the Loaded Dice, which makes multi-hit attacks have a higher chance of landing the maximum number of hits.
A YouTuber just uncovered lost footage of the American Sailor Moon
The decades-long search for the American version of Sailor Moon has finally come to an end. Ray Mona, a YouTuber who documents her efforts to find lost media (including the never-released Mean Girls game), has managed to unearth the pilot episode of the unaired, never-finished series that the Sailor Moon fandom has come to know as Saban Moon.
The story of the Americanized Sailor Moon starts in 1993, about two years before the debut of the dubbed Sailor Moon that we know today. At the time, animation studio Toon Makers teamed up with Renaissance Atlantic Entertainment, the producers behind the original Power Rangers, in a bid to make an English version of the series. The two companies pitched a project that blends live-action with…
