Eight classic Dungeons & Dragons games have arrived on GOG and Steam
SNEG has released eight Dungeons & Dragons games to GOG and Steam. These are many of the first D&D video games, some of which are finally available for the first time in over 25 years.
The offerings are Spelljammer: Pirates of Realmspace, Fantasy Empires, DragonStrike, DeathKeep, Heroes of the Lance, Dragons of Flame, War of the Lance, and Shadow Sorcerer.
All are available through the Silver Box Classics bundle, and each contains digital bonus materials from their original releases, such as manuals, rulebooks, and clue books.

Resident Evil’s indie cousin is now available as a free game on GOG
Resident Evil has inspired many horror games over the years, from Silent Hill to Dead Space, right up to 2022’s The Callisto Protocol. But there’s one third-person shooter with an especially strong – although complex – connection to RE and Capcom, particularly the wonderful Resident Evil 2 Remake from 2019. If you haven’t played it and want to try it out, the good news is it’s available now as a completely free game on CDPR’s GOG – but you need to act fast.
Classic point-and-click adventure Broken Sword: Director’s Cut is free on GOG
The Winter Sale continues over on GOG, and they’re giving away Revolution Software’s classic point-and-click Broken Sword for free until Thursday. It’s the Director’s Cut too, which adds some more stuff for nosey American tourist George ‘Goat-wrangler’ Stobbart and French journalist Nico ‘Curtains’ Collard to investigate. Good grief, I can’t even remember the last time I played a Broken Sword. The first one is a classic adventure game from a time when they were beginning to fade from PC, goat puzzle notwithstanding.

The Witcher: Enhanced Edition Director’s Cut is now free to play via GOG Galaxy
In light of yesterday’s news about The Witcher being in receipt of a remake, in which it’s being built from the ground up in Unreal Engine 5, the original title is now free forever on GOG Galaxy.
The Witcher is a whopping 13 years old, and it’s definitely more deserving of a remake than some other titles receiving them lately (looking at you, Horizon Forbidden West). This also isn’t the first time that the game has gone free to play either, but this time around, it’s going to stay free forever.
If you’re yet to play the game, or simply fancy revisiting it before more news about the remake emerges, now is your chance to do so without spending a single penny. Regardless, however, fans on the GOG forums aren’t happy about this.
Skyrim is now available DRM-free from GOG
Skyrim has been released and re-released several times and is available for almost anything that plays games at this point. As of two days ago, it’s even now available DRM-free from digital retailer GOG.com. The GOG release is “entirely playable offline” and includes all the Anniversary Edition content “without the need for Creation Club access.”
