Hogwarts Legacy Guides Hub
Hogwarts Legacy gives Potterheads the open-world magic school game many of them have been waiting for, but that also means, for better or worse, this is very much a modern sandbox game with many dozens of mechanics to master, secrets to uncover, and a full suite of spells to cast. Here you’ll find all our Hogwarts Legacy guides in one place. Whether you need help with collectibles, Talents, or something else, find it all here.
Starting out: FAQs and Wizarding World quizzes
Here, you’ll find tips just prior to starting out, such as Wizarding World quiz results and Twitch Drops, as well as answers to some common questions.
Wizarding World quiz and choosing a Hogwarts House – You can put your thumb on the scale for a particular House if you so wish, but for the more authentic experience, you can actually take a quiz on the Harry Potter website and let your authentic results determine your sorting.
The games that defined 2022 for the RPS guides team
Guides work is a very strange beast, and one that we don’t talk about as often as we maybe should. By its nature, we here in guidestown can feel a bit isolated from the rest of RPS. Our guides aren’t very visible to our regular readers. No one hops onto a website like this and says to themselves, “Well now! I wonder what guides have been written today that I can spend my time reading through!”. The vast majority of people who read our guides come straight from a Google search into something specific like “Can I romance Yennefer and Triss at the same time?” (spoiler alert: you can, but it may not end well for you).
Because we operate so much behind the scenes, it’s easy to miss some of the amazing stuff that the team did in guidestown this year. It ain’t easy, writing a walkthrough or how-to that’s useful for the reader while simultaneously appeasing those nebulous and mercurial SEO gods. But 2022 has been a stonkingly good year for guides, and I’d love to take a little bit of time to shine a light on some of the things we’re most proud of having achieved this year – and to toast what will hopefully be another smashing year for guides in 2023!
Most Wanted Tips and Guides for Pokemon Violet and Scarlet
Pokemon Violet and Pokemon Scarlet are pretty dense games – with two versions, 400 Pokemon, and an open world, it’s natural for players to have questions. We’ve compiled this list of the most pressing topics aspiring Pokemon masters wanted to know about before getting started and things to know about Pokemon Violet and Scarlet even when they get deep into the adventure.
What are the version differences and exclusives?
Like in previous core Pokemon entries, both Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet feature Pokemon exclusive to each version to encourage trading between players. There’re many more beyond just the box legendaries Koraidon and Miraidon, plus a handful of other differences. For example, the outfits available in Scarlet are orange and the outfits in Violet are purple, and the two professors you meet are different. There are quite a few more differences, too!

What are the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Starter Evolutions?
We all found out about the Starter Pokemon Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly, fairly early on, but you might need more information than just their cute designs to make your final decision – like their final evolutions and stats.
- Check out everything you need to know about the Scarlet and Violet starters and their evolutions.
What about all the other new Pokemon?
There are 107 new Pokemon (if you count all the new forms), and people were curious about a lot of topics related to them.
- All the new Pokemon in Scarlet and Violet
- Scarlet and Violet Pokedex with a list of all Pokemon and their locations
- All the Scarlet and Violet Legendaries and how to get them
- Of all the new Pokemon, how to get and evolve Charcadet, how to evolve Bisharp, and surprisingly, Tauros were some of the biggest problem spots for trainers. Fun fact: Paldean Tauros is one of the first unrevealed new regional forms we see during the opening scene.
What should I do first and in what order should I do the quests and gyms?
After the first day of school prologue quest, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet really do open up and let you go anywhere. It’s no surprise players sought some guidance. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet let you go anywhere, and while that’s an exciting idea, Paldea’s layout doesn’t make it obvious which spots are best tackled first. We can help you with that.
Tip: You can ask Nurse Joy what you should do next at any Pokemon Center, but she’ll recommend tasks based on proximity then level – so she may recommend something that could be far above your level.
How do I change out of my school uniform?
Well, you’re sort of stuck in a school uniform, but there are a few school uniform styles to choose from and accessories to buy to make it your own! The short of it is you’ll need to press the left directional button to open the outfit customization menu. From there, you can change your uniform style.

How do I get Shiny Pokemon?
Super rare alternate-colored Pokemon are called “Shiny Pokemon.” Nothing is different about them besides the different coat of paint, the sparkle as they enter battle, and the special mark on their summary page. They can be very cool looking though, and you can increase your chances of finding them!
Pokemon Violet and Scarlet’s picnic system offers a great way of increasing your chances of finding a Shiny, plus there’s even an item called the Shiny Charm that passively increases your chances at all times–but you need to complete your Pokedex to get it! The Shiny Charm makes it easier to hatch Shiny Pokemon when breeding Pokemon, too. There are even more methods and tips in the full guide.
I want to cheat – what are the exam answers?
We won’t tell – we have all the answers for all the midterms and exams in Pokemon Violet and Scarlet. And if you didn’t know, you can return to the academy to take more classes and learn some pretty nifty facts and earn cool rewards.
What are those ominous black stakes and where do I find them all?
Here’s a hint – if you finish your history classes and pass your history final, the teacher will clue you in about their origins. If you want to skip all that, of course, you can – but know you won’t be able to collect them all until Koraidon or Miraidon has most of their abilities unlocked.
How do I get more sandwich recipes?
Most sandwich recipes are learned by speaking to the guy to the right of the counter at the sandwich shop chain Every Wich Way. Visit him after earning gym badges to get more. Your mom and some picnickers will also give you sandwich recipes.
What are these Gimmighoul chests?
You’ll find both roaming Gimmighoul and chest-form Gimmighoul all around Paldea. Catch one of the chest forms and collect the coins from either (and other sources) to evolve one!
Late-Game Questions and Guides
If you’re just getting started on your journey, we’d recommend not proceeding past this point. Below are guides for later game events and Pokemon.
What’s the secret menu item for the normal gym test?
In Medali, you’ll have to take on the Normal-type Gym Test which requires you to figure out and order a secret menu item. You can actually order the item before going through the steps to collect the clues!
We won’t include the menu items here for spoiler reasons, but you can find the solution along with battle tips in our guide.
Where the heck is the Dragon Titan Pokemon?
Sure, the False Dragon Titan is marked on your map at Casseroya Lake, but getting it to appear is tricky! An NPC will give you a hint by asking something along the lines of, “it’d be great if the titan just said its name.”
How do I unlock 6-Star Tera Raids?
Tera Raid battles are available from early on, but more difficult raids with better rewards can be unlocked. First, you must complete all of the post-game story content and challenges. Doing this is a requirement and causes 5-Star Raids to become more common. Once you’ve defeated 15 of the 5-Star Tera Raids, you’ll finally be able to tackle challenging 6-Star Raids. Doing this is also necessary for the ultra-difficult 7-Star Tera Raid Battle events like Charizard and the upcoming Cinderace to appear in your own game.
There’s a near-never-ending number of topics to cover and questions to answer, and if those didn’t answer all of your questions, you’re sure to find what you’re looking for in the Pokemon Violet and Pokemon Scarlet Wiki Guide!

Phil Heath Guides NFL Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe Through a Bodybuilding Training Session
Shannon Sharpe’s career in the National Football League (NFL) saw him accomplish just about everything a football player dreams of. On an individual level, the Pro Football Hall of Famer garnered four First-Team All-Pro (1993, 1996-1998) selections — an indicator that the former prolific tight end was the best at his position in each of those respective years….

God Of War Ragnarok Guides Hub: Crafting, Combat, Armor, And More
Ragnarok is coming, or so it’s been said. In God of War Ragnarok, Kratos and Atreus find themselves in a colder, more dangerous version of the nine realms we saw in 2018’s soft reboot. The game is, as expected, massive in size and scope, and it’ll take any player a long time to experience it all. That also means it may very well be a daunting, sometimes difficult game to overcome, but it doesn’t have to be. With our God of War Ragnarok guides all in one place–right here!–you can not just get off to a strong start, but find the guidance you need every step of the way. Who’s ready for another father-son bonding experience?
It should be noted that because some of this content is best played in the post-story portion of the game, you should consider this guide–and each of those linked within it–to contain spoilers, even as we’ve not actually spoiled the story. But inferences can be made from some of this content, so proceed knowing that in advance.
How long to beat God of War Ragnarok?
With a game of this scope, often one’s first question is regarding the time investment it may require. That answer changes depending on your playstyle, but we’ve got information to serve all kinds of players. Here’s how long God of War Ragnarok takes to beat, along with insight into side missions and open-world structure.
Steam guides are a useless mess of jokes, say PC gaming fans
Getting stuck in games is no fun, and Steam guides have long been a handy tool for everything from bug workarounds to collectible hunting. While we’d of course encourage you to come to PCGamesN for everything from Fortnite Kamehameha locations to Minecraft enchantments, the user-created guides integrated into the Steam Community page are a quickly accessible tool that can often prove very helpful in a pinch. However, many users say that the feature is now plagued with joke entries and people attempting to farm awards for Steam Points.
Steam Points can be earned by purchasing games, add-ons, and other related content through the Steam store. You can use them to buy various items in the Steam Points shop – these are mostly cosmetics that can be used to customise your Steam profile page and avatar, as well as chat effects and emoticons that you can use while talking to other users on Steam. Steam Points can be given to other players as ‘awards’ – this is typically done as thanks for a helpful guide or review.
Steam Points are also often handed out for funny content. As such, users say that the Steam guides section is now full to bursting with a plethora of joke guides hoping to nab some Steam Points awards from other players. From Counter-Strike: GO guides mocking Valve’s anti-cheat service entitled ‘How does VAC work’ (the body text reading ‘it doesn’t’) to numerous ‘How to jump/walk/shoot’ entries that simply list the appropriate button to press, often in a slightly over-elaborate manner, the Steam guides section is now a swamp of entries that aren’t actually useful, even when they are amusing.
