Death Stranding inspired Cryptobiosis plushies will be available at Tokyo Game Show
In a photoshoot fit for Vogue, Hideo Kojima has shared some snaps to Twitter of him posing with some new Cryptobiosis plushies that’ll be available at Tokyo Game Show later this month.
Details have not yet been revealed regarding the price of the plushies, or whether they’ll be available online during and after Tokyo Game Show. What we do know, however, is that they’re quite charming, even if they are strange, small life forms used for replenishing blood.
Going off the photos that Kojima shared, it appears the plushies will be available in two sizes. One of them being small enough to prop up on a shelf or cuddle to sleep, while the other is large enough to make the perfect cushion, as Kojima exhibits. The plushies are also shown off beside a Danboard figurine for size reference!
The Callisto Protocol is inspired by Die Hard and Shaun Of The Dead
Back at Geoff Fest, I spoke with Glenn Schofield about The Callisto Protocol, its gore system, spiky walls, and batteries. From what I’d seen and heard, I was keen to see more of the sci-fi horror game that’s not Dead Space but is also quite like Dead Space.
So, at this year’s Geoffscom I was able to see a 20-minute presentation of some new Callisto goodness and then chat with Striking Distance Studios’ chief technology officer Mark James about what I’d seen. We touched on dismemberment, 3D printers, and Shaun Of The Dead, naturally.
Lou’s Lagoon is a TaleSpin inspired open-world island adventure game
Lou’s Lagoon is a self-professed cosy open-world adventure game coming from indie studio Rokaplay. It’s a cutesy third-person affair that sees you take over your uncle’s business after he goes missing. Looking similar to titles like My Time at Portia and with what looks to be a Stardew Valley-style gameplay loop, it looks to pair the life game genre with open-world adventure. Oh, did I mention there was a plane? Because it’s also a plane game.
