Amazon Pet Day is almost here to kick off your National Pet Month celebrations: Here’s what you need to know
TL;DR: Amazon Pet Day runs from May 2 at 12 a.m. PDT to May 3 at 11:59 a.m. PDT, but some of the best deals are already live. Here are a few of our top picks:

$649(save $100)
Any time of the year is a good time to spoil your pet, but now that our calendars have turned to May 1, National Pet Month gives you an even better excuse.
Not only does that mean you can treat your bestie to something nice, it also means that tons of everyday essentials, like food, litter, and toys (yes, we said essentials), will be marked down from many different pet brands. So pet parents, get ready.
Starting the month strong is everyone’s favorite mega-retailer with the Amazon Pet Day sale, a 48-hour sale event that’ll feature nearly pet deal you can think of. Though it hasn’t started yet, we’ve rounded up what you need to know — including the best deals to expect.
When is Amazon Pet Day?
Amazon Pet Day is a sale on all things pets that will actually last two days, from May 2 at 12 a.m. PDT to May 3 at 11:59 a.m. PDT. This certainly ups the ante from Amazon’s first-ever Pet Day sale last year, which lasted 24 hours.
During the event, the site will be marking down pretty much any pet product you can think of, from Fresh Step cat litter, Casper dog beds, Dyson vacuums (the laser attachment is your best defense against spring shedding) — even pet movies and shows will be 50% off.
What to Expect from Amazon Pet Day
Unlike Amazon’s Prime Day sale, Pet Day deals will be available to any Amazon customer. You can even score free shipping on any order over $25, Prime membership or not. The only deals non-members won’t have access to are Prime Video movie deals.
While you’re shopping, you’ll also be able to catch Dolly Parton and her dog Billy the Kid on Amazon Live, talking about her iconic Doggy Parton line, which includes toys, collars and leashes, and of course, apparel.
The best Amazon Pet Day deals
While the sale hasn’t officially begun, some deals are already live in addition to what we’re looking forward to seeing tomorrow — check both out below.

Why we like it
Stasher bags come in a ton of different sizes — and they’re microwaveable, heat resistant up to 425 degrees, freezable, and dishwasher-safe. That kind of convenience makes them an easy swap over disposable plastic bags. The biggest drawback is their upfront cost, but the 20% discount helps. Plus, from April 18 to April 25, you’ll be able to grab any product sitewide for 25% off.
Tushy 3.0 bidet — $99 $129 (save $30)
Opens in a new tab
Why we like it
Our favorite simple bidet is on sale for $30 off, and saves you way more money as you waste less toilet paper. Plus, installation is simple enough to manage on your own. While it only has one heat setting, it gets the job done with impressive pressure settings, and is streamlined enough to not add too much bulk to your bathroom setup. You can also grab a two-pack for $90 off.
Xbox Remix special edition wireless controller — $84.99
Opens in a new tab
Why we like it
It may not technically be on sale, but this Earth Week release from Xbox is cool enough that we thought it deserved a mention. The Remix special edition controller is made from recycled materials, so you can game and be Earth-friendly simultaneously — the ultimate win-win. You can snag the controller for pre-order at the time of writing, and it’ll officially drop April 17 (that’s today) at 9 pm ET.

Renfield Isn’t Here To Kick Off A Cinematic Universe And Writer Robert Kirkman Couldn’t Be Happier About It
Any time a big-budget action movie heads to theaters, immediately people start wondering about sequels, spin-offs, and other continuations that grow to become a cinematic universe. More than a decade of Marvel Studios movies have trained many viewers to see bigger films through those glasses. That’s why it’s so refreshing to see a movie like Renfield, which is full of the action, comedy, and ridiculous gore the trailers have been promising, without having to also worry about missing a post-credits scene or a nod to a potential future movie. It’s entirely self-contained about Count Dracula’s (Nicolas Cage) familiar, Renfield (Nicholas Hoult), which is exactly how writer Robert Kirkman wanted the story to be told.
Speaking to GameSpot, Kirkman readily admitted that he loves the Marvel Cinematic Universe and other large film franchises. Still, he adds, “It [has] kind of done to death now where [at] the end of the movie, they kind of give you a preview of the movie you wish you would have been watching the whole time.”
And he’s not wrong. As exciting as every new Marvel or DC movie is, in the back of your mind, you’re wondering what’s going to happen at the end to set up the next several films, rather than just taking the time to bask in what you’re watching.

MMA star Amber Leibrock scored a brutal head kick knockout to open her Professional Fighters League campaign in fashion.
The American made her debut in the PFL, MMA’s only seasonal format, in some style with a first-round finish over Martina Jindrova.

Leibrock, 35, connected with a perfectly-timed left high kick before following it up with some vicious ground and pound.
It left the referee with no choice but to step in and end the fight, as Leibrock announced herself on the PFL stage.
She said: “First of all, I just want to say my name is Amber Leibrock, I’m from Hayward, California, I represent the Bay Area and I’m here to stay.
“So if you don’t know me, get to know me and remember the name.
“I respect everybody that steps in this cage with me and their art and I know she is a dangerous person on her feet.
“She’s a multi world kickboxing, Muay Thai world champion so I think it did take a minute to find it but when it’s there it’s there and I found it.”
The PFL is MMA’s consists of qualifying and knockout stages, with two regular season bouts and play-offs.
Points are earned per method of victory in the opening two fights with the top four in each weight progressing into the semi-finals.
From there, it is victory-or-go-home culminating in a winner-take-all finale fight where a title belt and $1million cheque lays in wait.
Leibrock – one of the eight featherweight contenders – got off to a perfect start with a maximum six points for her round one KO.

Kick Elden Ring enemies around like Dark Messiah in the impressive first-person mod
A new mod for Elden Ring adds one of the most important things a game can have: a really hefty kick to boot people onto their bums and over edges. This has come with an update to First Person Souls, an impressive mod which gives FromSoftware’s game a good first-person camera view. And thanks to the mod’s recent update, you can now punt ragdolling baddies across The Lands Between, following in the bootprints of games like Deathloop and Dark Messiah Of Might & Magic.

Resident Evil 4 Remake gets a third big trailer and Leon’s roundhouse kick remains flawless
The Resident Evil 4 Remake is only a mere month away, but I still had plenty of questions about what’s in the action horror revival. Can I wrestle old ladies? Roundhouse kick a clergy of priests? Shoot grenades at the Spanish Amish? Capcom’s newest trailer reveals all and it looks like Leon Kennedy’s dance moves are still intact.
