Overwatch 2’s next hero Lifeweaver might fix the game’s support problem
Support mains, relax. Overwatch 2‘s next playable character is a support hero called Lifeweaver and he’ll be joining the roster alongside Season 4, expected to begin on April 11th. Blizzard had previously said they were committed to bolstering Overwatch 2’s support lineup since it’s currently the game’s most taxing and least rewarding role to play. It seems they’re making good on that promise, though, as Lifeweaver’s reported abilities have the potential to sway matches.
Overwatch 2 reveals new support hero, Lifeweaver
In a reveal shared to Twitter by Blizzard, Overwatch 2 fans will soon be in receipt of a new, blossoming support hero with a floral theme.
Named Lifeweaver, the support hero is anticipated to arrive in Season 4 of Overwatch 2, with Blizzard stating that players can expect to hear more tomorrow (at the time of writing, that’s today) about the hero.
A few details about the new support were shared in an article on PCGamesN, which was subsequently taken down. However, Reddit users have already gone about resharing what the original article revealed.
New Overwatch 2 Hero Lifeweaver Has Been Revealed
Blizzard has officially revealed the new hero coming to Overwatch 2 in Season 4, Lifeweaver. While Blizzard hasn’t revealed much about the new hero, we do know that Lifeweaver will be a support hero.
Lifeweaver’s design is focused around pink Lotus flowers, and the background of the image revealing the character suggests he is from Thailand. As for how this fits into his healing abilities and his overall kit, Blizzard will likely reveal more about the new hero in the coming week. Overwatch 2 Season 4 is expected to start on April 11, shortly after Season 3 ends earlier that day.

While Blizzard has not confirmed it, Lifeweaver will likely be obtained the same way as the other new heroes in Overwatch 2. Lifeweaver will probably be included with the premium version of the Season 4 battle pass, unlocking him immediately, or as the free reward at tier 45 for everyone else. Going by past characters’ rollouts, Lifeweaver will also likely be unavailable in competitive matches for the first two weeks of the season.
