I broke off new relationship after nasty ex found out and threatened us both
DEAR DEIDRE: I STOPPED seeing my new guy after my ex found out and threatened us both.
I’m 38 and my ex is 41. We were together for five years during which he was constantly messaging lots of other women asking for sexual favours.
He denied it all but I found pictures on his phone which proved everything.
We split up and he didn’t take rejection well.
He harassed me, stalked me with calls, texts and emails – any way he could get hold of me.
It’s now nearly a year on and I thought I’d finally managed to start afresh.

I met someone new and was so happy until my ex found out.
He started spreading lies and has even threatened us.
Eventually he became so nasty, I was scared and felt I had no option but to involve the police.
Sadly, I felt I didn’t have a choice and so finished with my new man.
I can’t take much more.

DEIDRE SAYS: First and foremost, you need to break the damaging hold your ex has over your life.
He’s able to come and go from your life as he pleases, destroying any relationship you build in his wake.
Harassment is against the law.
Block him on all social media and on your phone but keep a record of the abuse in case it is needed as evidence.
