Mystery as Brit diver found dead on Thailand’s notorious ‘Death Island’
A BRITISH diving instructor has been found dead in mysterious circumstances on a notorious “Death Island”.
The body of Neil Giblin, 48, was discovered in a rented bungalow on Koh Tao, Thailand, on Wednesday.
Two female clients raised the alarm when he did not turn up.
Police say he died from natural causes.
They said there was no sign of a struggle.
But they have gained a reputation for dismissing foreigners’ deaths.
And fit and healthy Neil, from Birmingham, is the fifth instructor to die in the past few years on the island.
Diving is lucrative business there.
One pal said: “I don’t even think they did an autopsy. This just doesn’t add up to me.”
A spate of unexplained deaths and murders of backpackers and tourists, has tainted the island’s paradise reputation.
Meta announces posthumous Notorious B.I.G. concert in Horizon Worlds
Meta is hosting a posthumous Notorious B.I.G. concert. Yes, you read that correctly.
Meta is celebrating what would be Biggie’s 50th birthday with a virtual reality concert where Biggie’s “hyper-realistic” avatar will perform Biggie classics. The event is a partnership between Willingie, Gunpowder & Sky, and The Notorious B.I.G. Estate and will take place on Dec. 16 in Horizon Worlds.
Prior to the concert, there will be a virtual recreation of a day in Biggie’s life in Brooklyn. It will feature narration from American writer and music journalist Touré. The concert will also feature performances from Sean “Diddy” Combs, The Lox, Latto, Nardo Wick, and Lil’ Cease.
This is not the first time technology has enabled fans to experience their favorite artists after their death. Notably, a hologram of the late Elvis Presley sang with Celine Dion on American Idol and a hologram of Tupac performed with Snoop Dogg at Coachella in 2012. As virtual reality technology advances, so does the opportunity for events like Biggie’s concert that would be impossible in the real world.
The concert also comes at a time when metaverse concerts are gaining mainstream attention. This year MTV introduced the “Best Metaverse Performance” category which BLACKPINK won for their “pretty savage” concert in PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUGB) Mobile.

And he now plans to get in touch with reigning WBC heavyweight champion Fury to brush up on his fighting skills.
The ‘Gypsy King’, who is set to fight Derek Chisora in a trilogy bout next, is a former pen pal of Bronson.
Bronson hopes to use any potential winnings as a deposit on a seaside cottage with one promoter reportedly offering a six-figure, according to The Mirror.
The notorious inmate reportedly told his ex that “fighting just one man would be like eating beans on toast”.

Ex-wife Irene Dunroe said the armed robber and jail brawler talked about his vision in a phone call from Woodhill prison in Milton Keynes, Bucks.
She added: “Charlie told me he agreed to a £100,000 comeback fight.
“He said ‘It’s honest money and getting in the ring with one person is like eating beans on toast’.”
Bronson had a brief career as a bare-knuckle fighter during one of his short stints outside jail in the 80s.

And despite his age, Irene questioned how many would have the mettle to test themselves against Bronson on the canvas.
Irene said: “How many will have the guts to get in a ring with Charlie? While he has a notorious reputation for violence, he’s very disciplined and hard to beat.”
First arrested as a petty criminal, he was convicted and sentenced in 1974 to seven years’ imprisonment for armed robbery.
But he was later locked up for life after repeatedly having his sentence increased for attacking prison staff and taking them hostage.
And the hardened prisoner even has another unlikely dream according to his ex-wife.
Irene revealed that Bronson has hopes of singing on Britain’s Got Talent.
And the 70-year-old is even considering a duet with ex-gangster Dave Courtney with Irene saying “he (Bronson) has such a lovely voice”.
