Loki Season 2 Hits Disney Plus This October, Echo To Premiere Full Season In November
Marvel’s Disney+ shows have, to this point, mostly been one-off affairs. Loki has thus far been the sole exception, with Loki’s return being teased in the standard Marvel Studios style with a post-credits teaser. Now, Loki Season 2 has a premiere date, alongside Echo.

Loki Season 2 will premiere on October 6, 2023, consisting of 6 episodes. The Hawkeye spinoff Echo presents another first for the network, premiering the full series on November 29, just two weeks after Loki ends.
Loki Season 2 will pick up sometime after the first season left off, with Loki (Tom Hiddelston), Sylvie (Sophia Di Martino), and Mobius M. Mobius (Owen Wilson) defying the Time Variance Authority, ruled over by one of the variants of Kang (Jonathan Majors), seen in Loki Season 1 as He Who Remains and in Ant-Man and the Wasp in Quantumania as Kang the Conqueror. Ke Huy Quan (Waymond Wang in Everything Everywhere All at Once) will appear as well.
Loki season 2 hits Disney Plus this October
It’s been two long years since Marvel’s Loki series first crash-landed on Disney Plus to upend MCU’s carefully crafted timeline, and now, we finally know when the show’s second season will drop.
Marvel’s Kevin Feige didn’t really have all that much to share in the way of fascinating plot details during his presentation at Disney’s upfront presentation this evening, but he did finally announce the premiere dates for both Loki season 2 and Echo, the Hawkeye spinoff starring Alaqua Cox as its titular heroine. Loki’s second season will premiere on October 6th, followed by Echo’s first season premiere on November 29th.

‘Endless Dungeon’ release has been pushed back to October 19th
Looking forward to playing Endless Dungeon next month? Unfortunately, you’ll have to wait half a year longer to play the roguelite twin-stick shooter, because Amplitude Studios and Sega have pushed back its release date to October 19th. It was previously slated for a 2022 debut, but the developer ultimately announced a May 18th, 2023 launch date for the PC (Steam and Epic), Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. In a post announcing their decision, the team said they believe it’s important to spend extra time working on the game after all the feedback they received across all their OpenDev sessions. They also promised to announce a release date for the Nintendo Switch at a later date.
In addition to fixing the bugs and issues the testers had unearthed, the developers are planning to use the extra time to improve some of the game’s key elements. They’re working to make player progression feel less random and more organic, and they’re tweaking the economy so that all three resources — namely, science, food and industry — feel important to the game. “The scarcity of resources is important so that your decision of what to invest in feels impactful,” they explained. They’re also incorporating smaller changes, such as differentiating the districts from each other more and improving certain aspects of the game’s multiplayer mode.
If you decide to wait instead of canceling your pre-order, you can get three additional free skins for Comrade, Fassie and Shroom. They’ll also be available at no additional cost for early buyers upon the game’s release for a limited time. Take note that since the Endless Dungeon‘s release has been delayed, its planned Closed Beta, which you’ll be able to access if you purchase the Last Wish Edition, will also be pushed back to September.

Apple’s Martin Scorsese movie hits theaters in October before its TV+ debut
Apple’s long-expected Martin Scorsese movie has a release date — for theaters, that is. The company has revealed that Killers of the Flower Moon will get a wide theatrical release on October 20th following a “limited” run starting October 6th. The company hasn’t said when the film will be available to Apple TV+ users, but the streaming launch will come after the theater exclusivity period ends. This is Apple’s first movie to get a widescale big-screen debut before going online.
Killers of the Flower Moon is an adaptation of David Grann’s namesake book. It covers the fledgling FBI’s investigation of murders of Osage Nation members in the early 1920s after the tribe won rights to oil profits on its land. Scorsese both directed the movie and co-wrote it alongside Eric Roth (of Dune and Mank fame). The cast includes more than a few big-name stars and Scorsese favorites, including Robert DeNiro, Leonardo DiCaprio and Lily Gladstone.
Scorsese struck a multi-year deal with Apple in spring 2020 that covered both movie and television projects. While the exact terms aren’t clear, Killers reportedly has a budget topping $180 million. The pact came just months after Netflix’s Scorsese film, The Irishman, received a massive audience but failed to win any Oscars.
The strategy of releasing a movie in theaters first isn’t new. Industry awards like the Oscars frequently require movies to show in theaters before they qualify, and it’s no secret that streaming giants like Apple, Amazon and Netflix chase after these awards for the publicity they bring. Apple’s CODA was the first streamer to win a Best Picture Oscar, for instance. The scope of this premiere is new to Apple, though, and the company is clearly willing to spend on A-list talent to potentially clinch some statuettes and boost its credibility in Hollywood.

MNT Reform Pocket laptop ships in October starting at $899
Other noteworthy hardware includes a 60-key, backlit mechanical keyboard with ortholinear matrix and N-key rollover support, a 15mm micro-optical trackball with four buttons, 128GB of eMMC flash memory (plus an NVMe SSD slot and a micro-SD card slot for expansion), and dual li-ion batteries that supply about four hours of…
All-Open Source 7-Inch MNT Reform Pocket Laptop Ships In October
Like the full-size Reform, the pocket version uses open source hardware and a mechanical keyboard (buyers can choose either white or red Kalih switches). But the pocket version uses a 7-inch 1920×1200 LCD screen instead of a 12.5-inch version and comes with fewer and smaller ports (two USB-C, one micro HDMI, a microSD port, and one ix industrial mini Ethernet port). Its keyboard also comes with an individually programmable RGB backlight, and its trackball-style pointing device has been downsized to fit into the smaller design. The Pocket Reform also includes built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, 128GB of built-in eMMC storage, and an expansion slot for 4G cellular connectivity. The device will also boot from microSD cards or an NVMe SSD installed in the device’s M.2 slot. Its 8000 mAh batteries will allow it to run for about four hours. MNT warns in its blog post that “risks and challenges” could delay the October shipping timeline:
“Pocket Reform has hundreds of electronic components. We tried to pick them so that there will be enough stock when we get around to manufacturing the boards, but it’s always possible that there could be a sudden component shortage or increase in price. If that should happen, we would have to re-engineer the affected PCB and exchange the part, causing a delay in continued production. We had to adapt our products several times during the global chip crisis, so we are confident that we’ll be able to work around any difficulties. Should any situation arise that would delay the estimated shipping timeline, backers will be informed promptly via project updates.”
