I was slapped with a £100 parking fine for leaving my car over-hanging the space by three inches
A SHOCKED dad was hit with a £100 fine after leaving his car over-hanging a parking space by three inches.
Julian Griffiths, 59, had parked up for ten minutes as he nipped in to his local SportsDirect.
But in a rush to grab knee-supports for his son, the civil servant left his Renault Clio at an angle meaning his motor was overhanging white lines by 7cm.
Two weeks later he was hit with a £100 fine saying he had breached parking rules.
The dad of one said: “I thought, ‘Bloody hell — they’re having a laugh’.
“Never realised it had to be perfectly square and perfectly within the confines of the bay.

“I would understand if it was halfway in one bay and half across another bay, but they are penalising me for wonky parking — it’s mad.”
He added: “It’s clearly another example of car parking companies abusing their position to generate income.”
Julian, who parked up at Swansea’s Parc Tawe retail park, has now appealed the fine.
It comes less than a week after dad-of-two Craig Court told how he was hit with a £100 fine for the same reason — at the same car park.

He said: “I was considering appealing as my wheels are not fully out of the lines.”
Both dads were sent parking charge notices by Swansea-based Eternity Fire and Security Ltd, who have failed to respond to attempts to contact them for a comment by The Sun.

The couple took out their matching Mercedes Benz’s for a nighttime drive but were slammed for parking in a handicapped space[/caption]
Kourtney took to her Instagram Stories to share a photo of her black Mercedes Benz parked alongside Travis‘ matching vehicle.
The pair took separate nighttime drives in their luxury cars, eventually meeting up in a parking lot where the KUWTK alum captured the photo.
She captioned the pic: “mom and dad.”
However, Kourtney’s followers took issue with the Poosh founder’s parking job, pointing out that she parked in an illegal space.

The mom-of-three’s car was slightly positioned over blue diagonal lines, showing she parked in a handicapped spot, despite her nor Travis, 46, being handicapped.
An online thread erupted with comments from critics over her parking fail as one lashed out: “Atrocious parking!!! $500 ticket, you punk.”
Another person agreed, asking: “So is mom or dad handicapped?”
Kourtney may have been itching for a close parking spot based on recent headlines that she’s expecting her fourth child.

Rumors have circulated for months that The Kardashians star is pregnant with her and Travis’ first child together.
Recent photos have fans convinced that the chatter is true as she appeared to be attempting to conceal a baby bump.
BABY RUMORS
Earlier this week, Kourtney posted two photos of herself in a shiny black leather dress with a significant slit on Instagram.
She completed the look with tall black heels, feathery sleeves, and dangly earrings.
The first snap had her leaning one leg on the couch in her trailer while the other was planted on the floor.
The Hulu star looked off in the distance as her dress fell down her legs.
She put her oversized sleeves in front of her stomach, covering it up.
In the second pic, the E! alum sat on the couch and looked down at the ground.
Kourtney crossed her leg over her body and stomach and positioned herself so she could hide a bump if there were one.
She captioned the post: “Playing dress up in my trailer.”
This led many fans to believe she was pregnant with Travis’ baby.
Fans reposted the pictures online, starting a discussion in the thread.
One person wrote: “I think she’s pregnant.

“So this is just speculation, and I can be 100% wrong, but I feel like the way she’s been moving lately. I think she’s posting old photos to her, but new to us, she’s been hiding her belly, herself.”
“Don’t get me excited,” replied another fan.
One chimed in: “Look at the way she is sitting. Trying to hide a bump?”
Kourtney has repeatedly teased fans of a fourth baby’s arrival on social media with her outfit choices and food cravings.
PREGNANCY JOURNEY
But the idea that she’s pregnant is not farfetched as Kourtney and Travis opened up about their journey to conceive on the latest season of The Kardashians.
The TV personality explained her unorthodox methods to get pregnant, including eating hard-boiled quails eggs and undergoing an intense cleanse to boost fertility.
The couple has also revealed their struggles to conceive a baby through IVF.
Although the spouses do not have any children together, they each have kids with their exes.

Mum refuses to pay ‘unreasonable’ £50 fine in furious parking ticket row
I’m furious being slapped with a £60 fine for parking for EIGHT MINUTES… it’s disgusting
A FURIOUS motorist has been left ‘disgusted’ after being fined £60 for parking for just 8 minutes.
He says that the fine is around half of his daily pay.
Ian, 63, described the decision to fine him as “disgusting”[/caption]
Ian Dykes, 63, says he was fined for staying in the East Street Car Park in Nottingham for under 10 minutes.
What makes things worse is that, according to Ian, he only stayed in the space for as long as he did because he was trying to pay to park there.
He says he made four attempts to pay which were rejected when he tried to enter his registration number.
Unable to park, Ian, who works for tech company Dell, drove to a nearby multi-story car park and paid for his space there, before setting off to repair a machine at a nearby cinema.
A week later, he says he was hit by a fine out of the blue.
“I work for Dell as an engineer and I was heading for the NG1 to park. There’s a cinema by the multi-story car park and I had to go and do a job there to fix a machine.

“There was a car park just close by and I used the number to ring to pay for the parking. So I rang it and put my registration number in, then they asked for it again so I put it in again – it asked my about four times for the number.
“It wouldn’t accept payment so within the eight minutes I was there I thought it’s pointless leaving it here, I’ll go and park at the multi-story car park, which I did.
“And then a week later I got a fine for £60 fine for trying to pay for parking!”
Ian says that he appealed the fine and showed the parking company the ticket from the multi-story with the 8 minute time difference on it but his protest was rejected.
The company insisted that he pay the fine, he says.
He described the decision as “disgusting.”
“That £60 comes out of my daily pay so that’s like half my pay for the day. They said that the machine was working fine and it just wasn’t, it was just looping all the time.
“It was just a nightmare.”
Ian insists that he is not the only one to suffer parking problems.
“Everywhere you go in NG1 there’s a problem with the parking – it’s a nightmare trying to get close to the businesses where you’re called to work.
