Nomad Portable Grill Review: Pricey but Almost Perfect
I’m a new Hooters girl – there’s a dress code for everything from the nails to hair – think perfect cheerleader
A HOOTERS trainee has spilled the secret rules that come with being a waitress at the surprisingly strict wing joint.
The young woman, who goes by Ali on TikTok, walked her followers through her second day of training at the popular establishment.

Hooters girls are known for their attractiveness and revealing uniforms, but not many people understand the amount of planning that goes into the company’s image.
Ali appeared on camera after her long day of training with a casual, loose hair-do and glasses.
At first, the young woman recalled all the basic elements of the orientation, including wing sampling and a tour of the building.
She said that the girls-in-training would be due back next week for some more serious testing.
“Day one, two, and three we are going to have tests on the menus, and the drinks, and the selection, and how to set a table,” she explained.
Ali stressed the importance of preparation ahead of the evaluation.
“They’re going to give you that study guide, and you’re going to study the hell out of it if you want to be a Hooters girl,” she noted.
She then dived into the presentation requirements and dress code.
According to Ali, the company is especially critical of servers’ nail appearance.
“Think cheerleader, perfect, prim, and proper natural,” she explained. “No colors, just American or French manicure.”
In terms of dress code, everything should be wrinkle-free for a seamless look.
“You want your tank top to be smooth, you don’t want your shorts to be scrunched you want them to be the perfect size,” she noted. “Everything is just smooth, cohesive, and on point.”
For hair, the advice was rather simple: “smooth and styled.”
Ali advised that any potential Hooters girl prepares to be ready for photos at any point.
“Always, always, always, have a lip gloss on you to touch up lipstick, because like I said, photo ready, you have to touch up the lip gloss, you have to look perfect constantly,” she urged.
The ladies are required to wear white, leather shoes on the floor and their socks can not show.
“You have to wear your stockings because it kind of smoothes your skin and gets rid of any imperfections,” she finished.
All in all, Ali’s run-down on the Hooter’s requirements made the job out to be quite intense.
Regardless of her stress levels, she made sure to express just how excited she was to be joining the Hooters family.
“Here’s to Hooters girl life,” she said before giving the camera a smooch and signing off.

The new Pokemon anime reveals a previously unseen, perfect little turtle creature
The new Ash-less Pokemon anime has started, and with it has come the introduction of a brand new pocket monster.
Pokemon Horizons: The Series is the new Pokemon anime that has started a brand new adventure with a fresh cast of characters, and the first episode has finally aired this week. The new protagonists Liko and Roy have been properly introduced to us, but interestingly, a new Pokemon has been too – a blue, crystalline turtle, that if you’ve been paying attention, you might just recognise. Kind of (thanks, Serebii).
You see, back in February The Pokemon Company revealed that Pokemon Scarlet and Violet would be receiving a two part DLC later this year. The second part, The Indigo Disk, will seemingly prominently feature a new Pokemon called Terapagos, a bigger turtle than the one seen in the anime, adorned with symbols of the various types across its back. These two Pokemon are obviously related, the smaller one in the anime presumably being the prevolution of the bigger one – or at the very least, a different form. We’ll likely learn more about the smaller turtle as more episodes release, or at the very least when the second part of the DLC launches.
Vampire Survivors’ latest DLC is a perfect $2 jolt of the game I fell in love with last year
Tron: Identity is the perfect Disney universe for Bithell Games to play around in
^Watch our Tron: Identity video review above!
TRON is one of the most historically significant films in Disney’s catalogue. Perhaps more than any other movie, it was massively ahead of its time: the techniques and technology developed in order to shoot it have in the many decades since its production become the norm for big-budget filmmaking. It had a huge big-budget sequel, an animated spin-off series, and a litany of video game adaptations (including the marvellous TRON 2.0, which still works as a worthy sequel to the original film). So why has this major franchise that hasn’t produced anything since the early 2010s come back with, of all things, a visual novel?
See, TRON is an odd one. The original film, which I love, is as silly as it is pivotal. The liberal use of computer-generated imagery, which looks proterozoic by today’s standards but oddly timeless as a result, combined with the process of shooting most of the film against nothing in order to transplant the actors into a world conjured out of CG and matte paintings – a film where almost every shot is a visual effect – was pretty much unheard of at the time.
The perfect Lego Nintendo Game Boy doesn’t exist…
Nick Lever, video editor and Lego Masters Australia finalist, has recreated the original Nintendo Game Boy in bricks — and with such droolworthy depth that I hereby petition Lego to make it into an official set.
It’s just 364 pieces, only 115 different parts, most of them common enough you can find ‘em dirt cheap. Almost every recognizable facet of the Game Boy is represented, from the angled rice-grain Start / Select buttons to the distinctive tint of the screen — achieved here by placing lime green tiles underneath a trans-blue window.
While there’s no removable battery tray or front speaker, you can indeed press down on the D-pad and click in a “cartridge.” You might want to take a close look at those A and B buttons, too…
Casper just launched two brand-new mattresses, and one is going to be perfect for the summer
Casper is back, baby. The quintessential bed-in-a-box brand has just launched two brand-new mattresses: The Casper, which is a throwback to the company’s very first mattress model, and the Snow, which puts a big emphasis on cooling technology for those who tend to overheat while they sleep.
Both models are currently available on Casper’s website, and range from Twin size all the way up to California King. Here’s the lowdown on each of them.
The Casper mattress

The Casper serves as an homage to the mattress that started it all, just at a much more comfortable price (starting at just $595). The mattress employs layers of Casper’s signature foam, as well as premium memory foam to provide plenty of comfort and ergonomic support through the night. It also makes great use of the brand’s patented AirScape technology, which keeps the mattress breathable and diverts heat and humidity away from you while you count sheep. If you pick up The Casper directly from the company’s website, you’ll even get some extras, including a sheet set and a Casper Pillow.
Casper Snow mattress

The Snow mattress couldn’t have come at a better time. As the weather starts warming up, overheating in the middle of the night is going to become an even bigger risk, and the Snow aims to solve that issue. You’ll get the Zoned Support and premium foam construction of the other fancy Casper models, but with the addition of new cooling tech between each of the mattress layers. That includes the CoolTouch Cover, which is designed with specialized cooling yarn, HeatDelete Bands that displace heat away from your body, and the AirScape perforations that keep the mattress breathable. It’s not cheap, but if you find yourself regularly waking up in puddles of sweat during the summer, it might be worth the investment.
